Soho Playa Hotel

Beautiful hotel in a great spot. I loved the location and friendliness of the staff. It is close to everything, anything needed within walking distance.

Not really a breakfast, just cantaloupe and toast. i always felt like something was crawling on me in my room. Had to spray it down with bug spray. A little power wash and fresh paint would do wanders!

Great location. Friendly staff. Inexpensive option near most restaurants, shops, bars.

The hair dryer was dirty and sticky. The shower had issues with water pressure etc. the toilet barely flushed. The sink water would burst out. The rooftop jacuzzi is cold water not hot. The free breakfast is toast, fruit and coffee. The cafe is very very slow. Budget at least 20 min for what I mentioned. I went elsewhere for a good breakfast.

We stayed at Soho Playa for 5 nights and we were super comfortable. The rooms are big, have everything you need, a fridge, AC, big bathrooms, a little terrace, and they go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. I had some requests and they not only provided what I needed but exceeded my expectations. I read many reviews and people were complaining about the breakfast and i do not undertand, it is better than nothing, you get coffe and bread take it or leave it, it is included, at least it is something. Also it is very convenient that they are next to a juice/salad/poke bowl place, we ate there a few times. The location was really good, they came to clean once every two days which was good enough for us. There is parking unpon availability and that was super helpful for us. I really wanted to thank Gabriela becuase she went above and beyond when i had a request, she helped us out so much during out stay.

The only thing i would say they could improve is the common terrace in the pool area, it looks like it needs more maintenance, but it works for the purpose of using the pool to relax for a bit.

Nicely decorated, clean and spacious room. Stylish decorations in the lobby as well. Nice rooftop swimming pool. Location was great, right next to the 5th Avenue so there are lot of restaurants and bars nearby and even the beach is pretty close. Staff was helpful and friendly and helped me to book airport transfer. I didn't book breakfast so cannot comment on that. Overall I was happy with my stay and I think this hotel is good value for money.

There was construction site opposite to the hotel. The noise didn't bother me but the construction workers had direct view of my balcony and room which didn't feel very comfortable. Of course there is nothing the hotel can do about it. In the evening there was very loud music coming from somewhere nearby but I guess that's the problem with most hotels located close to 5th Avenue. Also the rooftop bar was not operating which is not a big minus but would have been nice to enjoy some drinks by the swimming pool.

Staff was really nice, the room was comfortable and it is close to Mamita Beach Club which is Wonderful. And the sea there is 😍!!! La Traittoria de Centro hs music and great food. Calle 38 is close and with it's trees and restaurants is quite nice!

Always the same breakfast 😅. The occasional noises that could be heard during night coming from a nearby restaurants. And some really loud guests. People have to learn not to slam the door...

The rooms are clean and the property is nice. The jacuzzi upstairs didn’t work properly, only one of the jets was working. Although the view is great from a rooftop pool. There is a construction site right in front of the hotel so if your room is on that side it is a bit of a different view. Not too problematic but just a heads up.

The “breakfast included” is a continental bkfst which means either 2 sweet breads or 2 toasts with butter and jam + coffee and juice, that is all. They do have a lot of healthy choice at the restaurant but not included in your breakfast (keep this in mind)

Really nice staff, very welcoming and they did a cute romantic set-up in the room for our honeymoon. Great location and clean/tidy lobby, rooftop + rooms. We wanted to stay a night longer but the hotel was fully booked. Too bad for us!

The showerhead was very old and the beams went in all random directions. the breakfast is very plain; do not expect too much of it.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room and balcony. Very clean and nice bathroom. Not too loud even though close to 5th avenue. Pool on the rooftop and view was great too. WiFi perfect.

No restaurant so no room service which would have been nice on occasion. The included breakfast is minimal: coffee or tea, juice or fruit, Mexican sweet bread or toast with butter and jam. There are lots of great additions that can be bought

Great location, room was clean and spacious! Rooftop is 9/10 the only downfall Is that you’re surrounded by construction. Stayed for one night to be closer to Cancun airport (we stayed in Tulum). I would stay here again for an extended periods, loved it!

You can’t beat the location. Close enough to restaurants and bars without being directly in the center of the noise and tourist. You can walk to the beach from there as well. The AC was nice and cold and felt great after a day outside in the heat. The bed was comfortable. And the balcony was nice to sit outside and have a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The hotel also has a pool and rooftop. The television has English and Spanish which is great, if you don’t speak Spanish you can still enjoy TV. This is my new gem for when I come to Playa, and want a nice clean place to stay without breaking the bank. See you in a few months!
