Hotel Plaza Playa

the location was good, only 15 minutes by walk to the beach and 7 minutes to fifth avenue. the junior suite was huge, we was only 2 persons but this room is for like 6 persons. cleaning and water everyday, the staff was very friendly.

I’ve tried many budget hotels in Playa del Carmen and this is my favorite. Perfect location near big supermarkets and some great restaurants. Short walking distance to beaches and 5 & 10 Avenidas but away from the madness of the 5th. It’s a newer building so there is NO problem with mould and humidity. My room was simple but spacious and had everything I needed. Wifi worked well. Staff was friendly and the housekeeping superb! They made me laugh with all the funny towel creations. I ended up staying for 1 month and would recommend Plaza Playa for anyone looking for affordable long term accommodation in Playa del Carmen. Thanks for a great stay!

The hotel is located in a very central location, with 3 major supermarkets within walking distance, as well as plenty of shops and restaurants. Hotel has parking on premises. 5th avenue is just a short walk away and the beach about a 10 minutes walk. Juanita, our housekeeper, did a wonderful job, cleaning our room on a daily basis. Nice hotel. Good price-value ratio. Location is good, only 3 blocks from Quinta Aventida and 10 minute walk from the beach. Tons of restaurants around and you also have 2 mega markets just 1 block away. Staff is very nice and forthcoming. There was problem with air conditioning in room that was first assigned to me but they upgraded me to bigger room for free that had no AC problems.

Wi-Fi was very spotty. This was not a huge deal breaker for me since I bought local SIM card but if you plan to work from your room and stable Wi-Fi is a must take it into account. During last few days of my stay they actually added additional access point in my room so Wi-Fi was much better but still not perfect. Nice to see they listened to feedback.

I had 3 different rooms during my stays at 3 different times there and was happy each time. Rooms are very clean. Towels are put into impressive shapes for a warm welcome. Parking is another plus for the place.

I was able to book this hotel smoothly and very close to my location. I was able to book and secure a stay ad had to pay at arrival. We were not planning to stay the night but needed to due to missing a ride from collectivos and not being able to make it in time. This place is really nice and secure and I felt safe staying here. The Rooms was nice and clean. The a.c worked good. The shower was nice and hotAnd great pressure on the body from having a long day walking.We just needed a place to lay our heads down the beds were also very comfortable. I wasn’t able to to get a queen or king so we had to sleep separately only down fall.

The WiFi did not work or reach our room it kept saying unable to join which is upsetting because for the price I paid I should of been able to have WiFi and cable.

I was in Rm22. I loved having a balcony, and good wifi - the router is just outside the door, but the ISP failed a few times once for about 12hrs during the day. The staff are great and friendly. I liked that they had hot water available in the lobby. Location is great. It's a ittle pricey, but I'd probably stay again. Btw, the elevator always seems to be unserviceable, I take the stairs anyways. Everything in the room worked but no English channels on TV.

It really is a great place. Air conditioning wasn't very strong but definitely helped with the heat. Best WiFi we had in Mexico ever :) We enjoyed our big beds and mini fridge. It is a bit far from the beach but very close to many supermarkets and restaurants.

Bathroom was a bit dark even with 2 small lights. Staff was very friendly, unfortunately didn't speak much English - in such touristic place it would be very helpful :) They don't offer luggage storage - we paid for another night just because we wanted to leave in the afternoon.

I was expecting something old due to the pictures on the site but it’s actually a very cute / clean and modern hotel. AC/ working great Wifi Balcony Confy bed Location is great because away from the 5th, no noise at night. Located around many nice places to eat.
