Secrets Aura Cozumel - Adults Only

Location and employees, food was good and the service was exceptional. Rooms are large in size with great views. The grounds and plants are awesome.

Needs more entertainment after the dinner. I would like to see live music in the coco cafe area or sky bar after dinner every night. The food portions are small at the restaurants but very delicious and well prepared. We have stayed here before and plan to stay longer on the next visit. The portions of food had improved from previous visits.

Beautiful property. Would like to experience when covid completely over so all facilities open all the time. It was a bit confusing determining which restaurants were open on each night.

4-5 days while there, pool levels were below the skimmer meaning the Wayer wasn’t circulating and I’m sure drunk adults were peeing in pool. They were working on it but find that aspect a little bit gross. Lack of entertainment in the evenings.

Despite a long wait for our room to be ready - we DID arrive earlier than check-in it must be said - the staff catered to us and received us warmly with a "Welcome Home" and refreshing drink after our long trip over by ferry and via road. There was a marvellous atmosphere of "couples" and romance in the air, which, to be honest was most pleasing after the teenage madness of our previous hotel. As an adult-only resort it catered very well to the customers. All the delightful dining places were pleasantly set in romantic ways. My wife and I really enjoyed this focus. The Sky Bar was amazing! Especially at sunset. Wow! And my first time up there I saw a beautiful engagement proposal carved into the sand and witnessed the unexacting girl get wowed by her future husband. The hotel staff put a lot of work into preparing that scene with sand carvings, rose petals, photographer and champagne. All 25 or so of us watching from the Sky Bar up above were cheering and congratulating the couple like they were our own children! I loved the setting, decor, balmy nights and musical choice by the barmen in that place! The Market Café, despite minute portions laid out on the buffet, had some huge platefuls of food when you order off the menu - worth noting when you eat there, and also that you have to wait a fair bit for the food to arrive (but it's worth the wait!). There is a part of the buffet where you can request food cooked in front of you and of course there is no limit to what you can request for your plate load! The Windows restaurant was our favourite for breakfast and they also turned out some great fare in the evenings too. The Oceana Restaurant was a great place for seafood and lunch, and, as I discovered one night, it had some super evening meals too (more towards fine dining, with lots of courses and small portions). Our favourite waitress there was Dolores. Oh my!

We found the "Us and Them" factor of our stay off-putting. Even though we paid for this 5 star place we felt like second class citizens with the 'no-go' areas marked everywhere "for members only". We believe that this difference in class, if necessary, could be a whole lot more discreet. It started the moment we arrived with our welcoming staff member marking big 'X's through a map she gave us and telling us clearly we were not allowed there. It just felt off-putting and put a dampener on our stay somewhat. There has to be a better way of doing this; less confrontational.

Swimming is absolutely delightful. Highly recommend 3-4 hours scooter tour around the island.

Hotel is getting older and needs continuous maintenance. Water entry mostly blocked by stones (dead corals). Entry passages could be easily cleaned in 3-5 locations. Would be good to have an option to make reservations for the restaurants

We loved all the snorkeling you could do right off the beach where our room was. The staff was amazing and very accommodating at all times!

We wished there was more Mexican food to eat! The property does an amazing job giving you a high class experience, but sometimes you want some authentic food while you’re in another country. But really, no complaints since we were able to find some off the property! Great experience (-:

We chose this property for the beach. It's sandy, not to much seaweed, great snorkeling a few steps into the water. That does mean that it's very rocky, and I recommend water shoes. Honestly, the beach was amazing. Three years ago we chose a garden view, not preferred. I was not a huge fan of the room. (Vacation was still awesome, but just not the room.) This year we chose a junior suite, ocean front. It was a large room, and the view was amazing.

Food was hit and miss. Sometimes it was amazing, and sometimes less amazing. I would have liked more "healthy" options, but that's my only complaint.

Review. We are just finishing 6 nights and it has been amazing. Yes, there are details that need to be fixed, but we have thoroughly loved our time in the beautiful place. The staff was amazing, working so hard to keep everyone happy. We enjoyed the entertainment across the three resorts. We loved each one of our dinners, especially trying the places at Dreams. We rested, we enjoyed our time together, we sat and watched amazing sunsets and incredible beach views. Overall, we loved our time and are truly thankful to the staff of Secrets Aura for their care.

Our only small complaint was with other guests who are so demanding and impatient towards the staff that they make themselves miserable and bother those around them trying to enjoy this relaxing place.

The room was brilliant with a great view. We did have a leak from the air-conditioning unit which was not fixed in the 2 nights we stayed but it wasn’t too much of a problem as didn’t spend much time in the room. We were preferred guests but preferred the main pool area and got quicker service there. We saw stingray, crabs, barracuda and many fish when snorkelling off the beach. The restaurants were great, can’t complain about the food. There are a few tired areas that can do with renovating but overall the hotel was exactly what we needed for a few days of relaxation.

A couple of the staff in the preferred area were rude and when we asked questions such as where do you get fresh beach towels, or we have a leak in our bedroom, we were made to feel like we were a problem and they didn’t want to help.

First time staying at an all inclusive, and I get the draw now! The resort is well equipped and well maintained. The food is really good, and the fact that its available 24/7 is great. Really enjoyed the beach, the pier, the pools, and the bars. The property has an approachable level of luxe, and the longer we stayed the longer we wanted to stay. The views and water temp are just unbeatable. But the real gem here is the amazing entertainment team! Johnny and his team are so committed to making every guest feel special and have fun, it was so wholesome and enjoyable to see. From pool games to kayaking to water aerobics- the guy just does not stop. He gave the illusion of single handledly keeping the party going all day and night for everyone, and we were just so impressed. On the hospitality side, every bar tender we encountered was genuine and generous, and Israel made our dining experience at Bordeaux so great, especially being that we had a birthday in our party. Our rooms were kept very well, and room service was reliable and delicious. Thank you Secrets team, you do a really great job.

The reviews stating that the interiors are a bit aged are true, but for us it did not detract at all from our experience. The humidity makes things a bit damp, and of course the island foliage and sand etc will be around, its not a big deal.

The setting is absolutely perfect if you have an ocean view. Beautiful sunsets! Very courteous staff. Comfortable room with roomy balcony. The sushi restaurant was the stand out. The wine list is also extensive and very good. Nice pools and an amazing water aerobics leader named Heidi who May be the most positive person I’ve ever seen.

Slammed with a hard core sell on arrival to “become a member “ which I didn’t know was coming. Very annoying but you don’t have to go to the appointment the next day. The food was rather pedestrian and often not really hot. We like conserving on vacation and cards in the room indicated that if you left your towels hanging then they wouldn’t be exchanged. New towels every day. I even leaned the note on my hanging towel.
