The breakfast was delicious--I especially loved the fresh fruit and yogurt to start, and the coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice was great as well! I liked the style of my room (concrete, spacious bathroom), and there was plenty of light as I was on the top (3rd) floor. The rooftop deck was a great place to watch the sunset and relax with a beverage from the hotel fridge (honour system, write down what you take and pay for it at the end of your stay).

The water was never hot, though I never mentioned this to staff so maybe it could have been fixed! I would also have liked to have a key or card to get back onto the property rather than having to buzz in, but I can understand this approach from a security standpoint.

The grounds are beautiful and everything is impeccably kept. The staff were all so welcoming and lovely, they were able to arrange a taxi to the airport for me and print out my boarding pass (no mobile passes at Oaxaca airport fyi). The rooms were pristine clean, unlimited filtered water provided and I never needed to use my AC, just a fan at night. The wifi was great and I was able to work from anywhere on the grounds. It was a short 10 minute walk into town and as a solo female traveler I felt completely safe walking to and from and staying there. Would absolutely stay here again!

The beds were a bit hard, but I still slept well every night.

Staff is very polite and efficient, but they could show more interest in the guests. Our room on the top floor was big, comfortable, with lots of light and toiletries from Mazunte . Breakfast was different everyday, well balanced and healthy, loved the vegetables and plantain omelette in mole. Coffee and juice were freshly made. There are water stations on every floor to refill bottles for free, the "honesty list" for special drinks is a cool add on.

We could have been interested in one of the cooking classes but no-one mention it for example. Info is shown in a board, but a personal invitation would be nice When booking the room it would had been welcome to know that we were staying in the hotel during the celebrations of the Virgen de La Soledad and that nights are very noisy. The bathrooms share a system of ventilation that allows to hear what is happening in another room.

This place was amazing and so so special! I wish they had availability for longer because I would have stayed a few more days. It's walkable to everything and I did feel safe the whole time as a solo traveler. The staff were amazing, and the food was incredible. It's a very tranquil and restful place (in a busy city at that). As someone with insomnia, I would absolutely recommend it. Everything was really lovely. The beds weren't the most comfortable, but that's only because I'm more of a cushy type of person. I would 100% stay there again. I had to take some work meetings and even with a million tabs open, I was able to communicate clearly with my team the entire time.

Great location just 5min. walking from old centre. super friendly staff, extreme clean, peacefull/airy building. Very comfortable and modern (bath)room (by far the cleanest I’ve experienced in Mexico). Nice and tasty breakfast, good tour experience, I usually never book this at hotels but this one (Téotitlan, Hierve el Agua, Mitla, Mezcal farm, Tulle all in 1 day) was a really nice informative and day filling experience. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

It's a very bright and clean hotel with a fun layout. The staff is phenomenal and the breakfast that's included was great! We booked a couple of cooking classes and Carlita and her team were so kind and patient, even when I was struggling to get through the class because of a stomach ache. It's very clear that this team has a lot of pride in the space and what it stands for. We will be back to Oaxaca and we will definitely stay here again.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. Wonderful breakfasts, serving us waffles for Christmas Day, the water stations were also a nice touch. They are doing important work supporting young people with education so this was really nice to contribute to. Our room was spacious enough for a bit of yoga, there were nice seating areas you can also spend some time reading and relaxing in. The hotel was surrounded in nature and tucked away from the main squares so the air quality was better and far away from loud noises.

It was perfect

This was a great stay! The staff were so kind, Beatrice even offered me 1:1 Spanish lessons when I asked where I could find a Spanish course in town. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious - each day different and fresh. The hotel helped set me up with tours of Oaxaca. There were nice seating areas around the hotel that really added to the atmosphere. The air-conditioning was a savior! It was a great stay.

Breakfast was very good - a plate of fruit with yogurt and granola, followed by a hearty protein dish. Staff was all very helpful and friendly. The room itself was comfortable and kept clean. Hotel is lovely. Oh, and the social mission of the hotel is an extra benefit to spending your money there.

Location was good, though not as central as some other hotels -- a 10-15 minute walk to get to the heart of Centro. However, our room was quiet, and the value was well worth the tradeoff.

The hotel was beautifully designed and made for a very tranquil space. The room was great with a large bathroom and comfy bed. The roof terrace was a nice additional place to spend time.

The cooked breakfast menu was a little bit too unusual for us. It felt like they were trying to do something special, but meant that it was a bit hit and miss and sometimes we didn't start the day with much in our bellies. Simplicity is often better in our view. The tiny pieces of toast also just aren't enough and some tortillas or bread with the cooked portion would be welcome. On the last day we were there there were a number of mosquitos in the courtyard, we saw barely any anywhere else during our time in Oaxaca so it was a bit unsettling.
