Royale Chulan Kuala Lumpur

I love the interior, classic and old school but nice. It was well maintained.

Carpet look old and tv a bit small. Channels were limited. No welcome snack/gift upon check in.

Spacious, linen and pillow superb. Convenient to go to pavilion and make sure you used bridges to reach the mall for safety purpose. Breakfast a lot of choice and tasty. Fast Check out process .

Check in process can be better. Long que even all counters are opened. Please rush up room effectively before arrival. Please do proper bed assign during check in. First he said only can assign two single bed for premier king. But i travel with my kids along. I already booked for extra large double bed. I’m so disappointed. End up he upgrade me to one bedroom apartment. I’m satisfied with it. Thanks for yr hospitality

When I checked for five star hotels in KL the Royal Chulan Hotel offered the best prices. Being in KL I found out I had made a good choice. Although this classical hotel in KL would need a bit of investment (for exampla a bigger tv set) the value for money offered was unbeatable. I stayed in a 41 square meter room with a generous bathroom. From the comfortable bed I even had a view at one of the Petronas Towers. The breakfast offers in abundance all you can expect from a five star hotel (including the best croissant I have found in South East Asia), the swimmingpool outside is big and provides spectacular views on the surrounding high rise buildings, the restaurant was good and in general the staff very friendly. The Royale Chulan has the additional advantage of being in walking distance from the elegant Pavillion Mall and Bukit Bintang with its many restaurants. From Pavillion Mall you can reach KLCC Suria mall and the Petronas Towers in a thirty minutes walk through passages protected against heavy rain or extensive sun.

As stated above the Royale Chulan is a relatively old hotel in classical Malay style. I would need a bit of investment. The rooms are spacious but have little furniture and decoration. The same applies to the very, very big foyer where the furniture is a bit old.

Generally, the place is spacious. Have heritage architectural of the Malay cultivated in the layout and furnishings.

I booked my stay studio apartment rooms. I thought there will be basic cutlery and utensils to be provided in the room. Disappointed. No basic instructions how to use the hob. The fixtures were solid & heavy, especially the door when we need to close & open it. We checked in on time at 3.00pm. As we booked for adjoining rooms, the rooms were not ready upon checking in although we had notified through messages. Got to wait for one & half hours for the room to be ready.

Cleanliness and space. Great value for money.

TV quality was poor and air conditioning not very cold. My shower wasn't functioning correctly bit that was rectified quickly. The buffet bteakfast had plenty of choice and the hotel is walking distance from Pavilion Shopping Mall.

The location is very good that it is close to Bukit Bintang area but away from the noisiness, so all of us had a very good sleep with the comfy bed and pillows! The room and bathroom are quite spacious, but the water pressure for the shower was quite low. The breakfast was good with varieties of choices, but it would be better to have some more desserts like bread pudding and bubur pulut hitam or bubur kacang hijau on the menu. Ohh and one thing, I like the ayam masak merah, but I think it's a bit spicy for children (and me!). The receptionists and concierge staffs are all so nice and very attentive! Keep up the good job!

nothing much that I didn't like, it is all good I would say. except that I would prefer to have more lighting in the room and a brighter room at night so I can see things clearly especially when doing ironing.

I have been here several times since 2010. I can see that things are getting old. But somehow I still opted to go there. Its cosy. Breakfast was ok.

They started to charge the parking for 1st entry & the light bulb is always an issue in the room. I keep getting room with dead bulbs . Hope they can change it regularly & maybe for the toilet to change the bulb colour too Breakfast was ok but it's still the same menu as last year. Most menus are still placed in the same position too. Need some update menu 😀 I think they can start to recognise regular customers. This time I didn't feel welcomed much? Dont know.

The room very good and cleaned and the staff from concierge and front seat a very nice. Breakfast very nice and have so many choices. And all the staff at cafe so good and smile on face always.

The room tissue toilet not replace from our start checkin the tissue box is empty, housekeeping supervisor should check before inspect the room. Front desk staff give wrong information regarding TNG parking should be validated every time before go out but the staff attend upon I checkin said one 1 time once validated. But the next day I go and ask the lady so nice and explain very well regarding TNG parking information. Hope in my future visit this issue regarding the room not being well inspect but key in inspection in system need to double check. Thank you so much for the good breakfast. Everything. The vibe. The view. The location. Comfortable. The room is spacious and even the toilet is bigger then most hotel. The staff is friendly.

I hope they can improve time check in. I was ready at the hotel 2.30 pm. and get my room 3.50pm.. How can you ask people to late checked in. Especially if that person only stay one night. How many hours you can enjoy the stay. So far it's worth every cost. But just need to prioritise more into check in time. I enjoy the stay. Especially they try their best to give me connecting room.

It was great that our room has been upgraded to Executive Suite🥰. The receptionist was polite and helpful. Our room is sooo spacious, clean linen & king bed (very important coz we travel with newborn), spacious & clean bathroom with bath tub. N the housekeeping provide us extra blanket for our baby upon request. Breakfast is above everage with variety of food, local & international. There’s very minor shortcoming, however it was not distrupt our plesant stay

Few lightbulb in our room not functioning, hence some area quite dark. One of the side table was already broken. Luckily we notice it before putting any hot drink on it.
