Bahari Parade Hotel by PHC

The suite was lovely, it felt spacious with the living room and kitchenette, rooms were nice too. Ideal for families/groups as there is a sense of privacy between the separate bedrooms. Location is convenient enough without being too busy. If you have food delivery apps, you can consider ordering in and chilling in your room.

The bar opposite the street was inconsiderately loud, someone should complain to the local council about noise levels after midnight. Wear earplugs to help drown out the noise, perhaps the hotel should provide earplugs too if needed.

Location was perfect, you can walk around to some of the tourist attractions (Padang Kota, Chowrasta, Penang Road, Nasi Padang Ariffin). Room is huge with enough amenities. Wifi is good, come with living hall with fridge and boiler. I love the concept of keyless entrance. Just key in the code and voila, you're in. Check out is a breeze as well, you just have to whatsapp the number and done!

You might need to fight for the parking as it is very limited (MPPP paid parking), or pay extra to park at the building/hotel nearby. Check in is on the other building, so read the instructions carefully.

I like that they will ask if I would like room service and we requested for late checkout as well. We can contact the staff through WhatsApp and they will attend to us. Their response is quick.

Just that it is on the second floor and the reception counter at the other hotel will need to walk a distance for us it is still easy just that we have luggage with us. Families planning to book just book at their main hotel instead to save the trouble from walking with kids or elderly. And the room we are in the Aircon is not strong enough for us the living room is even colder than the room we are staying in.

Exceptionally customer service from the PHC team, special shout out to Nurul, who promptly sorted out the miscommunication that occured. My family loved our stay and we will return again when we visit. This place is ideal for visitors who would like to explore Georgetown on foot & for those who orders food delivery often (likes us) as the room opens out to the main street hence making it so convenient for food collection. However it might not be ideal if you are driving as it's difficult to find parking nearby and you will have to pay for parking. Overall, great accomodation!

The hotel is located in a central area where easy access to food and tourist attractions places. Friendly & supporting front office staff especially Emma (she came to our rooms for the check-in as the reception is a walking distance from our rooms )and Shamila assisting us in looking for car rentals during the peak Christmas season. Thank you both :). The rooms are well kept and the bathrooms are cleaned and well-maintained. Looking forward to staying here when we visit Penang in the near future.

However, as this hotel is a 2 levels refurbished shophouse, the flight of steps (about 20 steps) is not suitable for elderly and handicapped guests. We stayed during Christmas eve and opposite this hotel is a night entertainment place. Quite noisy at night.

Opposite drinking bar was very noisy and operating till early morning and beyond licensed time 2.30am. The patrons continued to behave as drunkards in front of the venue oblivious to the peaceful period and disrespectful when the surrounding neighborhoods are actually sleeping for the night. There were loud conversations and cars speeding in and out wt car honkings in between. My family experienced till all night wt worst noise being from 3.30-5am Bar owner is seriously flouting the license given to them. I only could sleep after 5am when all the activities died down as the loud behaviors ended.

If you visit just for a couple of days, the apartment is very nice, comfy sofa, good bathroom, kitchen, big beds. And i really enjoyed leaving in old Chinese style house located above some business joint.

Place lacks knife and few other stuff that might be handy - tea pot? glasses ;), air conditioning can drive you mad in the night, there is no natural light - at least in our case the front section was closed ;(

Check in is in different place as stay but really close, only 3 minutes walk. Staff was really nice and helpful. Daily cleaning was done properly Stay was spacious, bed room and living room.

Even though daily cleaning was done properly, apartment really needs deep cleaning and facility refresh. There were stains in the curtains, walls need to be repainted and dining chairs cushions were really dirty.

The location is quite good. The room overall is simple and gorgeous and the beds and pillows are heavenly.

Personally, I didn't find it to be an issue but most reviews mentioned of the noise level which I agree but it didn't disturb our stay really. Logically, knowing where the hotel is located, the noise level would be expected. And of course, no parking..well, this IS Penang...hahaha. Would not recommend this hotel for those travelling with the elderly or those who are not physically mobile ie: on wheelchair, etc and those with small children.

Location was good, close by to a number of eateries. Beds were very comfortable. The staff were very helpful at check-in and check-out. The housekeeping was excellent. Kept the room clean and tidy throughout.

The main reception is about 5 minutes walk away. Not so easy to get from there to our room with our luggage, and we had to cross the street where there are no pedestrian crossing. The main bedroom is next to the street and the traffic noise is somewhat loud especially during the day.
