Marriott's Grande Vista

A beautiful resort, very well maintained and popular attractions (e.g., Walt Disney, Universal, SeaWorld) are around the corner. Also, a trip to the alligators or Kennedy Space Center is not far away. Good choice of swimming pools. The golf course is great, although very busy. But lots to do at the resort, for every age. Complimentary WiFi works great. Beds are big and comfortable.

The resort villas are reasonably equipped but a bit outdated. But the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I'd recommend booking a room with a balcony with a view of the golf course.

They didn't offer housekeeping because of "safety" measures, but their staff wasn't even wearing masks. I don't like the approach of cutting costs because of "covid excuses".

Excellent location. Excellent staff. Excellent food. Plenty of activities and enjoyment right at the resort. There was this pleasant aroma outside that we kept smelling as if there was some type fragrance emitter outdoors.

We did kill one roach under the bathroom sink. The trash bags in the room were terrible. They’d tear up just looking at them.

We loved how beautiful and clean the property was. The landscaping was beautiful and we didn’t feel like we were in Florida, it felt like I was somewhere tropical.

The only negative thing was that everyone saved lounge chairs by the pool super early every morning, despite signage saying that you weren’t allowed to do that, so we were NEVER able to get any seats by the pool on any of the days we were there and we are not people who sleep in so not exactly sure when the towels were placed there. There were lounge chairs that had towels on them for hours with no people on them and the staff didn’t do anything about it. That was quite disappointing because most days we wanted to just relax by the pool and we weren’t able to do so.

I loved the property, the Spanish colonial theme, the variety of swimming pools and hot tubs, the villa where we stayed was very comfortable and the front desk clerk that checked us in.

The lady from Concierge was kind of rude trying to convince me to book the departure gift which was a great offer but I couldn’t afford at the time, she said I’d i could bring another person from my party I told her they are already gone and she said they need to be in person, but was not nice explaining all of that, I don’t book anything with her because of that attitude.

We really enjoyed the staff! Everyone was helpful and friendly! Whenever we had a need pop up, they were able to help out quickly. Additionally, the check in and check out process was very smooth. We also enjoyed the easy access to Disney World and the ability to avoid I-4 to get there. The location of the resort also provides you access to tons of local restaurants and shops.

We really struggled with the shower. The water is very hot and hard to get temperate. Additionally, The water pressure in the main bathroom shower was minimal. This is not something that would deter us from staying again.

The property is huge and gives a nice vibe of a vacationing place. Many things going on around, nice facilities, very nice property if you like to walk around and hang out. There are multiple pools, grill places and several restaurants that offer room delivery and are usually pretty quick and very friendly. The room was well furnitured, nice full kitchen that was a big requirement on my list. The location is also very good, easy to get to attractions, nice restaurants etc.

I actually can't complain but the one thing to keep in mind is that the coffee place works only in the morning so get up early if you want to get breakfast by the lake.

Our family was very impressed with the 2 bedroom suites Villa! Had everything that you could need with a full kitchen with Washer & dryer, nice coffee makers, big bedrooms with our own bathrooms. Master bathroom had large walk-in shower & separate room with the double sinks. Both suites had their own balconies & tv's too. Our building area had its own pools that the kids loved, & there were plenty of chairs. Nice bar & grill too. Definitely want to stay here again & longer with our family!

ONE thing we had a problem with...., was the Shower in the smaller suite had a huge problem with the water being too HOT! We couldn't get it to be cool at all, so going to report it to their Maintenance Dept. Very frustrating after a hot summer day....:(

Everything was excellent. We have been coming to the Grande Vista for nearly 20 years. They honored our request for a pool/water view, and they gave us both. Our room was overlooking the main pool and the lagoon. However, this location turned out to be too noisy for us, as we go to bed early and the pool closed at 11:00 pm. This was our fault in choosing this location without thinking about the amount of visitors who congregate in this central, common area. It was beautiful though with all the lights at night. Next time we'll choose a location less populated.

The main pool area is noisy, especially at night if you tend to go to bed early. Even though the pool closed at 11:00 pm, there was a group of visitors playing loud music and talking loudly until 1:30 am. This happened only one night.

Great location in the heart of everything! Spacious rooms great for family getaway

The staff had several oversights and zero accountability. We weren't in the system correctly it had our first names last and last names first. We where then given wrong villa numbers. We had to go back to check in after searching close to an hour for our rooms. After we get correct room numbers the keys didn't work for both connected rooms. Which led to a technician coming out in hour three to give us access. Hour four we gain full access. After venting my concerns I was told I would be connected to a manager instead I was connected to a time share rep. They gave me a $50.00 credit for food for inconvenience.
