Obi Hostel

Location was good, close to subway station, convenient store just next door, big lockers, privacy with curtains , shampoo and conditioners in showers, towel provided. Lots of cleaners doing hard work every day that was amazing!! I was able to leave my snowboard bag at reception which was so nice and took a lot of stress off my shoulders!

Communication with stuff over google translate, they didn’t tell my anything to see or do, I had to organise myself. Locations a bit far from center but as mentioned above subway is close… if you wanna party then better stay close to shibuya or shinjuku! Last train is at midnight…

Can’t praise this place enough. First of all, staff were the nicest of any place we’ve ever stayed in. They were so helpful and knowledgeable. We joined them on the ramen day trip and was great fun. Restaurant staff were also really nice and helpful. All went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Beds were most comfy of any capsule hostels we’ve been to. Rooms were great, temperature was fine and lockers were on same floor which was ideal. Very clean, beds and room area were thoroughly cleaned daily. Hostel is making the best of space they have. Saw some reviews complaining about common space. Couches in lobby were great for eating and relaxing but obviously can only fit a small number. Outside food was also not an issue ever but would definitely recommend trying out the cafe on first floor too. Smoothies are really nice! Gym was fantastic too. Well equipped and never too busy. Well worth including in your price if you’re interested. 10/10 experience, thanks so much to you all! We will definitely return if we are back in Tokyo.

Everything was brilliant.

I stayed at Obi Hostel from the 1”first to the third December. Firstly, the staff was really nice and helpful (Miyabi in particular 🥹❤️) The gym was magic, top, well equipment for 880 yen per day (definitely good value for money) In addition for those who really love Espresso in the morning, here they make it really well (not everyone in Tokyo knows how to make Espresso 🫣) Beds are comfortable, private and clean and have private curtains. I will definitely come back again ❤️.

Good size of the bedroom and good quality of wifi speed. You can also use the common room (i.e., restaurant) during your stay. And that is very easy to access from the nearest station.

I have no compliments on the hostel. Unfortunately, however, the location is not so useful for me because I do not often visit Nihonbashi area in Tokyo. But it is just my personal preference.

The location is near the subway and there are a lot of convenience stores nearby. I also liked the lobby and common area, it had a cozy vibe and I wouldn’t mind hanging out in there for a couple of hours before lying down in my bed. Showers and toilet are clean.

There were boogers in my bed when I arrived. I’m not sure if the sheets were replaced. When I also borrowed the towel, it did not smell clean.

Very modern structure. The dormitory it is on 4th and 5th floor, it has spacious beds inside a wood cabin, good mattresses. Clean facilities, friendly staff. Well equipped place. Good quality/price during the week. Strong and stable WIFI.

Showers only on 5th floor, no kitchen where to cook. Possible to eat your own food at the ground floor Cafetería only before 9am or after 11pm

I was very surprised as this was my first hostel in Japan. It was so clean, staff are wonderful people and very, very kind. The cafe is very cute and clean. I think the staff with the bucket hat and person who checked me in were very very nice and made me feel comfortable. Also, Richard went out of his way to find a shoe repair shop for me, look after my suitcase after I checked out and even carry my luggage for me as it was super heavy. Thank you so much to the kind and wonderful staff. I hope I can come back again.

everything was perfect

The staff are amazing! Really accommodating and also great fun to hang out with. Really nice to have a gym included and the location is really convenient.

Sometimes sleeping can be rough because of other guests, but that is to be expected in a hostel/dormitory

I loved obi hostel! The bed was pretty comfortable, facilities were clean and also the gym is well equipped. It’s very close to different stations so you can easily go around the city and it’s super quiet at night! The staff is amazing as well ◡̈

There is only one girls toilet per floor so sometimes you might have to wait a couple of minutes to use it.

Close enough to central Tokyo and lots of subway stations. Good space beneath the hostel to chill and relax (Cafe during day so you have to buy at least a ¥400~ drink, but during the night it's open all night and you can stay up and hang out no worries). Bed was comfortable and a good size for a shared dorm room. I felt safe in the mixed room and staff were friendly and helped when I needed it (I used Japanese, but I saw one person who may have been able to speak English).

I believe the cafe hours had changed due to corona, so that was a little confusing at first.
