DEL style Osaka Higashi Temma by Daiwa Roynet Hotel

The hotel is easy to get to from one of the exits of Minami-morimachi / Osaka temmangu stations. There is a lounge on the ground floor where you can use the microwave, a toaster oven and get some hot drinks from a machine too. It is easy to see if the washing machines are occupied using the TV. I was in the room for work most of the time so it was great that the cleaning staff were able to come and clean when I mentioned I would be outside. Perfect for a long stay.

The room is quite small and it is difficult to open a large size suitcase. The blinds do not block light.

cleanliness was great and value for money, was very close to two metro lines and a jr line which made it excellent for getting around. Had a coffee machine in the reception instead of sachets in the room which is a feature I approve of. will definitely stay here again connection time to central Osaka and Shin Osaka stations is very quick as those are the ones you will probably be coming into.

I should have told them to stop giving me clean towels everyday as I am happy to re-use them for a few days.

The staff was very helpful with the luggage (storage and early drop off).

The breakfast (coffee shop nearby) only offers set menus that can’t be adjusted. Wouldn’t recommend booking the breakfast option.

Super friendly and helpful reception, great amenities and a very comfortable room. We lost our backpack in the taxi on the way to leave Osaka and are so grateful that the wonderful team tracked it down and had it shipped overnight to our new hotel in Tokyo! We could not ask for better service and very much enjoyed our stay. We will hopefully be back!!

I loved the room. It was about the right size for one person; if I didn't go out, it's comfy to stay and wind down here. The hotel provided extra amenities at the lobby, which is nice, as I realized I did not need most and would prefer my room more or less minimalist in any case. Also, I enjoyed relaxing at the public bath. Staff members were courteous and personable. One of them was very friendly as she approached and provided us travel materials to explore the area. We got good tips! This was my second time staying here. I think now I don't have to think much where to stay next time I visit Osaka.

The airline lost my luggage and the hotel staff help me to contact the lost and found department because the support was available in Japanese. The staff stay in communication with the airline several times until they finally delivered my luggage to the hotel. I really appreciate the staff's support in this matter.

nope. I believe the company will continue training on reception staff and staff with proactiveness in learning. this can improve the staff’s capabilities in explaining the hotel facilities in details.

Many amenities, comfortable room, professional and kind staff, wowed by the hotel's policy of sending fresh towels and a bottle of water every day (unnecessary in my opinion but appreciated), wowed by the daily amazing complimentary breakfast next door at Caffe di Espresso.

As someone with a lot of luggage, the room was a bit small for me, though it was still pleasant overall. There was very little natural light coming in as well and my window was heavily translucent, at least for my room. Depending on when you book this hotel, you can encounter very cheap or very expensive rates. I got lucky at first but when I was interested in extending my stay, the rates skyrocketed across all third party websites.

The room was laid out well for the size; I knew it would be small but it was easy to use compared to some other small rooms I have been in. I think it was well thought-out. Staff were kind. 24 hr reception is nice. Lots of convenience stores nearby. If you need a taxi to skip some of the train connections it's only 900~1100Y from Osaka/Umeda hub station. The lighting and decor colour was inviting and cozy compared to a lot of other places. The reception/work lounge is nice. Mostly pretty clean. I would stay there again.

The washing machine was kind of gross (wet and full of lint and hair) and the machines were often being used even at 3am, so I used the 24-hr laundromat (super close by and clean and larger) instead. The bed was right against the wall so the sheets were never tucked in very far on that side and kept coming undone. The bathtub drain was very slow (up to my ankles by end of shower)..The room could use curtains or a better blind, the blinds didn't block much light at all - if you sleep late make sure you bring a sleep mask.

The room was always kept well cleaned, excellent value for money. Whilst walls were rather thin, the room was pretty quiet. Available public bath in the hotel, quite relaxing after a long day hiking. Spotless bathroom. Located 1min walk from a metro entrance. Loads of very decent restaurants and convenient stores nearby (less than 5 min around)

Really tiny room and bathroom. Public bath could be a bit cleaner. That'd be nice to have hot drinks too in the vending machines. Fitted sheet a bit too short, mattress protection not looking very good. Window with a view on the wall, no natural light getting in.
