The Westender Inn

We spent one week here on the garden side in the deluxe cottage and it was perfect from start to finish! The peacefulness you feel from waking up to hearing the birds and ocean waves really set the tone for the rest of the stay! The room, bathroom and kitchen was super clean! They were missing a few things from the kitchen, like a meat board, wine glasses etc but simply let the front desk know what you want and they get it for you as the staff is amazing at accommodating you and seems really willing to help you with any inquiries you might have. You get your own yard space with the cottage and often times feeling like you’re away from all the other guests and staffs personally really added to the peacefulness. The food served at the restaurant was extremely consistent. The waiter at the bar is always prompted and ready to serve you as soon as you sit down. Dining on the sea side was beautiful as well. The infinity pools were clean and well kept as well as the rooftop pool. i love to swim so the rooftop pool being available was a big thing for me.

We could not find not even a single thing that we disliked about the property. Only thing that felt like a bother was the narrow road we had to drive on to get to the property but I’m sure they don’t have much control over the size of the road lol the property is also 20-25 minutes away from the town and beach. Having your own vehicle would make staying at this property way more enjoyable. They do have shuttle available but it only runs on schedule times. Overall, we loved every moment we spent there! We were out everyday partaking in all the activities you could imagine. Jam west, Booby Cay, blue hole! the beaches. it was all amazing. plus the food at all the restaurants, Rick cafe etc. it was wonderful.

Well appointed cottage (spotlessly clean) in beautiful garden surroundings. Snorkelling from the waterfront area, lots of pools to cool off in. Nice bar and very tasty breakfast- and good value. Dan the owner and the staff were very friendly. And of course, the amazing sunset. Highly recommend this lovely chilled out place! Will be back.

it is a little way from the middle of Negril, however is within a few moments drive of several great bars and restaurants in West End Negril. There is lots of parking and the hotel offers a regular free shuttle, so don’t be put off.

I love the Vibez the feeling I got at this Property, Every single Staff Member went above & beyond to meet Our needs! Very Pleasant Experience & As Sure God's Willing I Will Return. I Miss The Free Shuttle Rides To The Beautiful Beaches. Thank You To All Of The Staffs From The Security Gate Guards, The Servers, The Cook, The Lady Bartender, The Landscapers, The Driver TINO For Driving Us To The Beach & Also Being Our Tour Guide You Treated Us Like Family & I Won't Ever Forget That! It's The Little Things That Means The Most To Me & You Deserve A (Raise).....You Have A Very Warming Personality!. Last But Not Least The Front Desk Clerk ANNAKAY She's So Professional, Warm & Very Pleasant Inside & Out All Wrapped Up Into One. She's Part Of The Reason Why We Will Return. The Water Pressure In The Shower Was Super Low For Me. That Didn't Even Stop My Vacation Because It Was Minor To Me.

Clean comfortable rooms, friendly staff and location away from high tourist areas. Resort felt safe and friendly with great views. The staff were all so nice and did their upmost to make all guests feel welcome. The three sea view rooms didn't disappoint, they were all spacious and had amazing views of the grounds as well as the ocean. Sitting in the hammock and listening to the waves was bliss! The resort was safe enough for our children to walk between rooms on the premises. Staff were ever so accommodating and helped us to arrange tours as well as recommendations for the family to enjoy our time here. I travelled with both young and old family, and all had a wonderful time. We would recommend to friends and come back ourselves.

Low water pressure after 10pm in one of our rooms, but it was NOT a deal breaker 🙃

Checking in was swift, although the reception staff had finished her shift, she waited for us to arrive and ensured we were settled in and comfortable, we truly appreciated this as she did all this with a smile.

Where Westender Inn is located is so far out that the taxi drivers do not consider it a part of their local route so the fare is quite high. For me to stay there again, which I will, I will need to drive myself, especially as I like to explore.

the facilities in the cottage were aged and not clean. But the staff kindly arranged us a different room which was way much nicer.

All was superb. From the moment my 17-year-old daughter arrived, Paul, the General Manager warmly greeted us and Romaine delivered our luggage to our room. The view was breathtaking and the grounds were well-cared for by Arden,. The food was delicious and fresh local fare. Colleen, was a warm, kind, and thorough housekeeper, and met our every need. And last but not least, Parchy (Cereth Parchment), one of the bartenders and "jack of all trades", took great care of us from start-to-finish. He kept us safe and told us where to go and not to go. He took us to the ATM in town and to the most amazing vegan restaurant and bar on 7-mile beach. He took us on the most magical excursion to Pelican Bar in St. Elizabeth -- you MUST go, and get your photos taken, carve your name in the dock, have delicious drinks, and buy amazing works of art from honest artisans. (There was a carver and a painter who had amazing things for reasonable prices). EVERYONE was so nice and happy to see us. Go to JAMAICA, especially NEGRIL, and stay at THE WESTENDER for a fabulous time with family or loved ones. It's romantic, relaxing, and stunningly beautiful. You will love the rocks, the amazing views and spectacular sunsets, the salt water pools sprinkled around, the small but sufficient beach with soft sand, the lovely room with a cozy bed, and everything we could ask for from Colleen. There is also an outdoor shower, a great stone veranda for doing yoga before anyone else gets up, etc. But mostly go for the people. They are the warmest, kindest, happiest people I have ever met -- which was remarkably grounding given the devastation of a year without tourism. Our year was hard, but there's was much worse. They didn't have COVID but they had no tourists, the lifeblood of the island. Go and please give Parchy, Paul, Colleen, and Andrew our LOVE. xo Michele and Megan P.S.

We LOVED everything. We wish we could have met the owners because they have created a special place. We will be back. That's a promise. Maybe we'll stay in the cottages in the back. It's very quiet there and a short walk to the action.

- Beautiful resort, with multiple great pools, various places with sun beds in either the shade or sun, very well maintained grass. - Spacious rooms with a great bed and clean. - We loved the Tiki bar and all the staff - Food was GREAT and also great value for money, everything we had in the four nights we stayed there was delicious. Also great cocktails with happy hour between 3-5 PM. - Parking the car in a secured area felt very safe.

Nothing actually, you can tell that owner Dan and his team do their utmost to make it a pleasurable experience for every visitor

Location- out past the main part of Negril down a fairly lonely road, but no different than many Jamaican locations. A beautiful site for accommodation - restaurant and pools overlooking the sea, really stunning. We stayed in garden cottages which were away from the sea but in a field of sorts. Lots of trees, really nice and only 2 minutes from the restaurant/bar etc. Facilities- 3 small but beautiful salt water pools and a larger pool for swimming by the breakfast area. Rooms had everything we needed, lots of fresh towels- new ones provided daily if you wanted and daily cleaning of rooms. Everything clean, beds comfortable. No AC in garden cottages but we knew that before booking. Lots of fans and ceiling fans available- mid July and it was hot I can't lie, but not unbearable by any means. Cottages also had fridges and stove and utensils etc. Food at breakfast was delicious and generous and we thought prices were much more reasonable than lots of locations in Negril-. Staff- very friendly and helpful. Found us extra beds which I hadn't booked because we had children with us which was lovely.

Nothing really. Maybe a microwave in the room would have been more useful than a full cooker but that's being picky.

Beautiful, serene setting. I love the ocean so it was the ideal location for me. The accommodations were a little outdated. Could use some renovations, at least the suite we were in. Need some screening in the breakfast restaurant - too many flies. Overall still beautiful.

Flies at breakfast and the suite was outdated. The shower is very small and the cook top could be cleaner. Also some blinds at the windows would have been great to keep out the early morning light for sleeping in.
