Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Austin SW - Sunset Valley, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was good; there was variety. The location was not as close to the event we attended as I would have liked, but it was easy to get to. The front desk was responsive.

Not sure if the hotel was undergoing some updates, but the heater in the first room we were assigned didn't work. The front desk attendant checked the unit, then moved us to another room. That room was missing a piece of furniture (ottoman or something that the first room had); however, the room was sufficient.

There are some rebuilding and renovation going on during my stay. I think this was the reason why they gave me a room on the HW side. The room itself is big comfortable and everything works well. Breakfast the standard Holiday Inn, good to start the day.

They gave me a room on the HW side. It was a bit noicy, especialyy if one stays for 5 days. I've been asking for a quiet room 5 days aheady of my arrival!

The renovation are beautiful. The hotel is located right off the highway make it super easy to commute. Downtown is only about 10-15 minutes away. This hotel is a nice location and I will definitely be using them on my next trip to Austin.

minor thing but tub and sink drained very slowly so if taking a shower, you are standing in 3” of water…

It was close to where we needed to be. Easy access off the highway.

The bathroom has some moldy spots on ceiling. The parking lot is also small. Holiday Inn should work on updating this hotel. It’s a good location.

Great breakfast. Clean. You need to ask for maid service if you want it but that wasn't a problem and they had an abundance of clean towels when we asked. Loved the 12pm check out time.

They offer a full breakfast - eggs, sausage, bread, muffins, pancakes, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, oats & cereal. They also had milk, juices and coffee. It was nice to have the meal there to be able to eat then go about your day.

The Wi-Fi signal was very week unless you were right by the window. And the pillows are very soft.

The property was fine. Good experience overall on that point. Would stay there again. BECAUSE THE RESERVATION WAS MADE THROUGH BOOKING.COM, A THIRD-PARTY, I WAS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR REWARDS POINTS. That really sucked!

It was very good and we were pleased at how well the staff kept the area clean and the breakfast hot. The coffee was good and it was hot.

Having a lactose free coffee creamer clearly marked would really be helpful, something like Silk Almond Milk Coffee Creamer.

We brought our newborn and her pack-n-play. We had plenty of room and the room got really dark so that was nice for her. They didn't have bars of soap because of back orders during the co-vid mess, but when I requested one they were able to bring me one. Plenty of shampoo and hand sanitizer around to get the job done though. They had grab bags for breakfast so that was nice too.

We were by the elevator so it got a little loud once (made us nervous for our newborn). However, we had a white noise machine to help so it really wasn't a big deal.
