Hotel Meridiana

There is a small-town, family feel to this hotel which gives it so much charm. The owners are a lovely young couple who clearly take customer service seriously. They accommodated our requests whenever possible, thereby resolving for us potentially stressful situations. The entire staff was also incredibly friendly from morning to night. The place is very clean, quiet and ideally situated near a beach, a lovely park, and the former villa of Maria Callas. Although it feels (thankfully) removed from the tangled knots of tourists on the commercial streets, it is conveniently just minutes away on foot. The hotel price includes a full buffet breakfast which we looked forward to every morning. Aside from warm eggs and sausage/bacon and the standard fruits, this darling hotel provided a delightful spread of homemade baked treats which were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this spot and would stay there again.

100* for this beautiful, cosy, family hotel. I wanna be part of this family run place. If you looking for place in the heart of Sirmione you must book this! Location- just next to the thermal spa and few min stroll to the ruins, grotto & beach. Central yet just out of the tourist crowded centre. Margarita & Elio are the nicest people, you feel like you at home. Girls at the breakfast & bar ( Daniela) - so nice, service with a smile. Rooms great, food, service, information- great. Love this place, will never stay elsewhere. As I said 100* to this hotel. Thank you and hope to see you in October .

It is really hard to choose where to begin with this review as everything was amazing. The room was clean, had all the essentials, and the cleaning staff were lovely! The only negative thing I can think of in regards to the room is that room key powers everything in the room, including the AC and the fridge. This was only a minor inconvenience to us, but still worth noting. The restaurant in the hotel is on another level. I am leaving a separate review for that with more details there, but in short, the breakfasts were nice, but the lunch / dinner and cakes were on another level. Easily one of the best restaurants in the area that we visited (and we visited a lot on our stay). The shared terrace was a lovely place to chill out on an evening and offered a spectacular view. But I've saved the best for last. The one thing that makes this the best hotel I've ever visited, The Staff. All the staff were amazing, and went out of their way to help us when needed. They were always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This is elevated even further by the amazing owners Elia and Margherita. From the moment we arrived, Elia was helping us with our bags, laughing and joking with us, and helping us in any way that he could. Margherita was also a star, helping us plan trips to Gardaland and figuring out ways to get my family to see the Giro d'Italia as it was passing the lake while we were visiting. Elia and Margherita truly made the trip special and made us feel part of their family while we stayed at their hotel. In conclusion, this hotel has it all. The location is great, the rooms are clean, the food is amazing, but nothing can top the care that the staff and owners bring. There may be hotels with more stars in the area, but Elia and Margherita are the true stars of Sirmione

The room key powers everything in the room, including the AC and the fridge which on longer days out resulted to returning to warm drinks.

The hotel is in a great location, close walking distance to everything. The room was beautiful, great facilities, air con, safe, hairdryer, fridge etc. We had a room at the front above the outside of the restaurant with beautiful view which was beautifully lit up at night where we could sit in the evening and watch the world go by. Sirmione is like a little village and the Hotel Meridiana is in a beautiful spot. The hotel has a lovely chilled atmosphere and the hosts are so lovely and helpful. The breakfast buffet is incredible with cereals, breads, cheeses, fruit, bacon, eggs, sausages and a delicious selection of homemade cakes and pastries which set us up for our days. Margueritta and Elijah made us feel at home right away with a warm and friendly welcome and were available at all times during our stay. The staff are all lovely. This place us truly special. We would 100 percent recommend this hotel and Hope to be back one day.

Everything was lovely

Spotless clean, quiet, perfectly managed hotel! Amazing service. This is a hotel run by a young Italian family, who made me feel home. Excellen food and service in the hotel restaurant. Everything renovated and decorated with taste. Comfortable beds, excellent air conditioning, wifi, very dry(zero humidity) so suitable for guests with allergies. Delicious breakfast. It deserves a Michelin star for its homy atmosphere, value for money and first of all the smile and kindness of all personnel (especially the lovely family of owners).

Very clear communication and highly responsive to any question we had. The hotel is located in the middle of the historical center, and easily reachable on foot. We received a very warm welcome and they were so accommodating (early arrival, late departure, taxi, food recommendations and reservations in restaurants,...). The room was cosy, with functioning aircon and a lovely balcony. Clean and large bathroom, little fridge and good size wardrobe. Basically everything you need! The breakfast offers plenty of choice, from bacon and eggs to fresh fruit salad to Margherita's home-baked cakes. Such a delight! We'd say this was a 3-star ++ stay and we already look forward to come back next year!

Our stay at Hotel Meridiana was terrific. The owners, Margherita and her husband--who is also the chef--are friendly, kind, and exceptionally helpful people. The assisted us with ferry schedules and several other things. The included breakfast was outstanding, with both hearty, healthy, and sweet choices. The hotel itself has a fascinating history and is very beautiful. Our room was spotless and much quieter than we could have expected. Location in Sirmione is to notch. We highly recommend this hotel.

The room was spacious and clean, with a comfy bed, brand new bathroom and a huge private lake-view terrace attached to it. Most importantly though, Margherita and Elia are the best proof that if you put your heart and soul into what you do, you are bound to succeed. Always ready to help, always making you feel absolutely welcome, always professional, and always with a smile. They, and in fact the entire hotel staff, deserve the highest grading for hospitality. If you want to stay in the historical centre Sirmione, close to everything, and still enjoy tranquillity, you can hardly choose a better place.

Family run hotel, very friendly, very helpful. Located 2 minutes walk from old town centre and it’s attractions, but devoid of the noise and bustle. Hotel has a restaurant and bar but also close to dozens more in the old town. Limited car parking (check with hotel for availability).

A trivial and more personal gripe, but no tea/coffee making facilities in rooms. Really didn’t detract from overall pleasure of staying at the Meridiana.

a very welcome atmosphere, great location, very attentive management as was the staff. the room was clean and reasonable in size. breakfast was in abundance for this rated hotel, did not have special orders requests but the staff were willing to assist with any request within their restricted operation. The hosts were very helpful, eager to assist with any issue that may arise. a very complimentary compliment to Elia and Margaret s well as the rest of the staff.
