Very elegant, it felt like a five star hotel. The hotel staff were amazing. The reception team had great suggestions for restaurants and were able to make reservations, even when restaurants were busy and not taking additional bookings. The breakfast is lovely and the staff very friendly and attentive. An excellent hotel if you are visiting Florence, I doubt you could get better value from a hotel. It is a 15min walk from the centre, but there is a tram stop immediately outside the hotel and trams run every 5-8 minutes. Which is helpful after a day of walking around Florence. Piazza Santa Maria Novello is close by and is a great location for some fabulous restaurants like Sabatini or The Place. If you do stay at the hotel you must visit the Officiana Profumo Farmaceutica, also close by and is a wonderful perfumer founded by Dominican monks in the 13th century and resides in the original chapel.

The rooms are a good size for a European hotel. The bathroom is fabulous, but wardrobe space is limited. But, not a surprise in such an old building.

The staff is amazing! They were helpful with anything needed during our stay. The breakfast was also fantastic, as was the service at breakfast (especially Francois)! The hotel is new and extremely clean with housekeeping services each day of our stay. Because it is a smaller boutique hotel, it has a much cozier feeling. We enjoyed the fact that the hotel is located away from major tourist destinations, so the area is a bit quieter. There are several good restaurants nearby, where more locals than tourists enjoy dining.

The room was a bit small for our large suitcases. If you are traveling with more luggage or for a longer period with multiple people in a room, you might consider getting a larger suite. Also there was no mini fridge in the room.

Staff are warm, welcoming, and very helpful. I loved the room! Glorious! The shower is heavenly, and the bed is harder than I am used to (did not disturb my sleep). I was sad to leave the room when I checked out. Provide complimentary breakfast, which is generous. I enjoyed my vegetarian omelette each morning. For self-service food, this needs to be labelled for those with dietary. Location is not as central as I thought. A 15 min walk to the centre, I always got taxis back to save my legs 🙂 However, this would not put me off staying here, you are near the river where there is a beautiful walk ❤️ The only criticism I have is the spa. I only went once due to it being open between 4pm-8pm and needing to pick a timeslot. The lack of availability meant I could not use it freely. I enjoyed my stay, I would stay again if I come back to Florence!

This was our second time staying at The Moon. We had initially planned to stay in another part of Florence, however we loved The Moon so much during our first stay, we thought it would be hard to top that experience so we rebooked. The service was exceptional, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and our room was clean and comfortable. Two major upsides to this boutique hotel — relaxing spa amenities and the most fantastic breakfast! The staff remembered us from our previous visit which made us feel even more at home. We appreciated that the hotel is located in a quieter area, away from the more touristy areas, like the Duomo. There are several nice restaurants nearby, a small supermarket, and easy access to public transportation. We hope to return to The Moon the next time we’re in Florence!

There was absolutely no downside to staying here- we loved it! Everything was perfect during our stay.

A beautiful, elegant hotel in a great location, a short walk to the riverside followed by a picturesque 15 minute stroll will take to straight to Ponte Vecchio. Buffet italian style breakfast with additional options made to order in the most comfortable dining room is a fantastic way to start your day. All the staff are pleasant and attentive, very welcoming. Our room was stunning, extremely comfortable, spacious and included the added extras that easily give the 4* rating. Highly recommend The Moon Boutique Hotel for your stay in Firenze. Fantastico!

Very well appointed hotel, room was lovely and also very clean though we only had a view of a wall. The spa was excellent, just what we needed after a day walking around the beautiful city. The breakfast was good, they offer a freshly cooked option but the bacon was not great and the scrambled eggs were overcooked. A good selection of everything else though I would like to have seen smoked salmon. The hotel is about a mile from the main centre and conveniently right on the tram line though it is a very pleasant walk into the city centre. The staff were excellent, especially those on reception who were always happy to help with anything.

Everything ! It was perfect from the arrival with the receptionist who was very nice, explained us everything about the hotel, the surroundings, booked us the spa. And what avout the spa ! Very nice, clean, quiet, it is perfect at the end of the day after visiting the city. Rooms are very nice, very clean and confortable and the breakfast, where to start it was delicious ! You hace a buffet with homemade cakes everyday, eggs, bacon, even prosecco and you can also order plates for free such as pancakes, french toast, omelettes etc Our stay was just amazing, recommend ++++

Our stay at The Moon Boutique Hotel in Florence was exceptional, made even more special by Francis, the wonderful restaurant staff who greeted us warmly each morning, looked after us with great care, and shared fascinating stories. The breakfast was a highlight, especially the freshly homemade cakes and desserts crafted daily by a talented female chef—though we didn’t meet her in person, we passed our compliments through Francis. The hotel itself is elegant, comfortable, and impeccably maintained, with outstanding service that made our visit truly memorable. Highly recommended!

We booked a Junior Suite. It was spacious. Air-conditioning was perfect, so was the shower. Power sockets were abundant. Food was plentiful at the buffet breakfast and there were choices of ordered dishes for us to enjoy. Staff were courteous and helpful. The Hotel was about 15 - 20 minutes from the tourist centre. It was an easy walk and good after having the delicious meals at town which sometimes could be heavy. There is a tram station right in front of the Hotel and the tram reaches the Railway Station within 10 minutes.

There are a few steps at the front door and it would have been perfect if assistance can be provided to guests having difficulties handling luggages.

The room was airy and air-conditioned with a lovely Jacuzzi shower. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room serviced every day - sometimes before we got back from breakfast. Good quality bedding and towels with ample hanging and storage space. There is a range of restaurants around the area and on the two occasions that we asked for recommendations by the staff at the hotel were first class and a real dining experience. The spa is a high standard and, as appointments are needed, there is not too many using it at a time. The staff deserve a special mention as they are superbly well trained, courteous and knowledgable.

There was nothing to criticise about the hotel, staff or facilities. The tram and buses were very handy with a short walk to the riverside on the Arno that provided a very pleasant walk into the heart of the city - about 20 minutes to the Ponte Vecchio.
