GOGO` Petit Hotel

Room 7 was great! it is very cosy and quiet, facing an internal courtyard, sunny most of the day and the bed is very comfy. I also liked the shower that has very good pressure and the fact that the bathroom can be heated up quickly in literally minutes. Due to the aircon the room can be kept as hot or as cold as one needs, which is precious, especially in winter - some of the old historic buildings in Italy can be very cold. Also good wifi including for online calls. There are some fantastic bakeries (Becagli Forni is maybe the best in Florence!), shops and restaurants nearby. Very safe nice area, close to the city centre. The staff are very nice and helpful. Since it is an old building, there is no lift but if you organise in advance with the staff, they can help carry up and down your luggage if you need.

I stayed here for 3 nights during the week. It was a good choice, I chose it for the location. Close to the Uffizi but still in a quiet area. I don't know what it's like in the summer, but it was quiet in November. Claudio was kind and ready with restaurant suggestions. No smoking inside, there is a small terrace. When I return to Florence, I think I will opt for this accommodation again. Be sure to have cash for the city tax, 6 euros/person/day. Breakfast can be paid by card. It is the kind of small business hotel. It is an apartment in which the rooms were equipped with individual bathrooms, very well equipped (including disposable shower slippers).

Perfect location: a quiet area right by the Arno and only a few minutes’ walk to most tourist sites. The room had everything we needed, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The only downside was the construction work across the street (which obviously the hotel couldn’t help!) The double glazing was brilliant at shutting out most of the noise, but it meant we had to keep the windows closed, which was fine in spring but wouldn’t be ideal when it gets hotter…

The rooms were impeccably clean The bed was super comfortable. Oh gosh I slept so soundly and woke up completely refreshed. The bathroom was spotless. The breakfast was offered at a very fair price. Location, maybe a 15 minute walk (along the river, might add) to the heart of the tourist center, but being slightly removed meant the neighbourhood was quiet. And a very safe neighbourhood, what with the USA consulate around the corner. As a bonus, the owner is gave me some good tips on the food and where to go to eat like the locals. Oh yeah, we will be back.

The only drawback was the coffee at breakfast. Ok, breakfast was only a fiver, but the Italians did introduce a level of coffee that was impressive ;-)

Everything, from the very spacious room, well designed and decorated, to the absolutely wonderful staff. Valentina and Daniel were very friendly, gracious and accommodating, allowing me to leave my luggage for a short while after I checked out. Valentina was superb, with assistance on dinner reservations, where to go and what to see as well as directions for everything. The breakfast is top notch with the cappuccino the very best I had on this trip.

Fantastic location, very quiet street. Daniele and Valentina are lovely and run a very friendly, clean and stylish small hotel. The description is entirely accurate, and people must pay attention to that. If you want lots of facilities and an elevator, this is not the place for you, but it doesn't promise that either in the description.

This was a nice stay. The property was in a good location, very quiet, and a nice stroll from the major attractions. Facilities were clean and the staff was nice and helpful. Although the property does not have a 24-hour reception, access is easy, and support is provided. I contacted the staff after hours for a minor request and they responded promptly.

We came for 2 days to Florence and wanted a base within walking distance of Florence centre. it took about 2.0 mins to walk into Florence centre. I was given information to get to the hotel and access codes. There is only stairs but we were backpacking, so it was fine . The hotel was spotless, staff were very friendly. Would happily go back again

We picked the hotel as it is super close to the arena where Firenze Rocks festival takes place. It turned out to be more than that - a great choice! Daniele and Valeria are so kind and helpful, making everyone feel welcome. Room was clean, bed comfy, AC working. And in the morning the breakfast atmosfere was the nicest to start the day with. Thank you!

It wasn't an issue at all to us to take the stairs, as they are not even high to climb, second floor if I remember right. But just to note, you need to be aware the building has no lift.

The location was very good and the room had a good size, was very clean and tastefully decorated. For our taste, breakfast can improve. Hostess/host were very, very nice.

The stairs, although we were aware there is no elevator. And the breakfast, as it was mostly bread and pastries an we try not to eat sugar.
