Great location for those driving...parking excellent...access to both Dublin City centre by public transport across the road...wider access to South Dublin and Wicklow via road network.

We did have an issue with an off menu breakfast order that was less than our expectations of quality but the issue was quickly and professionally put right ..these things happen...no harm done! its how businesses deal with issues that happen that makes a great business...staff throughout the hotel are attentative ..accommodating and friendly in a way that comes across as a genuine interest in looking after their guests..

Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Good location.

On Sunday evening, in the bar area, sat in one of the alcoves, something very sticky has left a long black line down one leg of my jeans. When I reported it, the male receptionist didn’t appear to understand what I was saying, despite showing him. On Monday morning, I reported it again, showing them what I was talking about. The female on duty said she would report it to the cleaning staff and it will come out in the wash. I replied that as we didn’t know what it was, we don’t know if it will come out. Her reply was, ‘Hopefully’. When I said that if it didn’t wash out, I’m left with jeans I can’t wear. No reply came back.

A pleasant, very quiet hotel stay. The place had amazing facilities including charging batteries which helped when my own charger gave up. The cost was only 6 euro per day. Very impressed by this feature. The room was superb, supplied with the right number of towels, drinking glasses, and bottled water on arrival. The air conditioning was incredibly quiet compared to other hotels I have stayed in. Shower was easy to operate and offered good for temperature control. Hairdryer also provided multiple hot and cool buttons when using it. Breakfast was brilliant. A plethora of options to choose from and well stocked for guests. Although it is on a main road, my room was overlooking the inner courtyard, and I had two nights of the most peaceful sleep. Hotel restaurant offers good food portions but service was a little slow. I was there for a tournament and found the conference rooms they were held in astonishingly beautiful. Overall, I was very impressed and enjoyed my stay at the Talbot Hotel Stillorgan. Highly recommended and I would stay here again. A Wonderful place.

The location is based outside the city centre. Bus services are right outside the hotel and two service stations, one on each side of the road, provide sources of food and fuel if you require. However, with the exception of these, there is no where to explore in walking distance. Also, my windows did not open but I am not sure if this is the same for other rooms. Should you be interested in exploring Dublin a hotel closer to the centre might be better. Otherwise, a great hotel to stay.

Check in staff was so lovely, a gentleman named Bala, so friendly and welcoming! Checked us in with a smile and a chat. Room was lovely and clean but the bedroom window didn't close and with the wind was open a crack constantly, the room was warm so we didn't mind. On leaving it raised the issue with front desk and the lady I spoke with seemed very uninterested, even as I pointed out a child could easily fall out as the lock was broken and the window didn't close. Didn't eat at the hotel. 10mins from Dumdrum. Happy with our stay.

Unfortunately breakfast was not included in the cost -a pity.

Just a small complaint- asked receptionist to give a to waken us @ 7am ( just in case!) & it didn’t happen.

I loved this hotel. We were here for an event. My room was great. I had a sea view. Every morning the sun was rising into my room before we started the day. When I left my room to go explore the town I came back to fresh water beside either side of my bed. The staff were great, the food was nice. I will definitely stay here again. It wasn’t a noisy hotel either. It was nice and peaceful. The only downside was the air conditioning fan. It got really loud throughout the night on my first stay. I switched it off before Ned every night and it was perfect.

The location is good if you have a car or need limited access by public transportation, however the area isn't very walkable. The rooms were good and the finishes were very nice. We requested a firm bed and they were able to accommodate us. The staff at the front desk were always very nice and the housekeeping staff did a fine job of taking care of the room. This review is based on a stay in August 2024. We would consider staying again, but would need to verify that there is no construction and that the shower situation has improved.

The only negative about the room was that there was a rain-style shower. Unfortunately, these are only good if there is adequate water pressure. There was very low pressure, therefore it would have been better to have a regular showerhead. The biggest downside for us was the construction that was occurring during our stay. We were not informed beforehand, so we were not able to make an informed decision about the stay. The construction generally started around 8 am, but one morning it was just after 7 am. The construction including hammer drilling on the roof above/near our room. Hopefully this is a temporary situation as the hotel overall is very nice.

The hotel was beautiful most staff were very obliging. Very clean hotel.

I got a piece of plastic in my dinner in between salad & peas. Size about the top of your little finger. Plastic closed at the top, opened at the bottom highly dangerous. Complained to one young lad serving, he took it into the kitchen to show chef no-one got back to me. I asked a second young lad serving, did the kitchen staff say what it was, he didn't come back to me either. This was very disappointing. Regards, Sandra Hussey.

Very nice restaurant and bar. Food was a good standard. Rooms were very clean and the bathroom was nice. For travel, there's a choice of 3 bus routes that stop outside the hotel and go to the centre of Dublin. Didn't take long and only cost €2.60 each way. Saved us a lot in taxis.

I made two separate bookings for our two night stay. It took three requests to get them linked. The cleaner let herself into the room without knocking after what she presumed was our check out time following the first night. Luckily we were just about to head into Dublin. It also took a couple of requests to get the specific table I wanted in the empty restaurant on the Sunday night. I was told it would be a struggle as they had a lot of bookings . They had virtually no bookings. It's a good, friendly hotel. Maybe a small bit more attention to detail would be good.

Conveniently located a short distance from UCD. Staff was consistently polite and helpful. Although the hotel handles a lot of bus-tour groups, there was always seating at breakfast for those of us that were not part of such groups. My parents, who were mobility challenged, also stayed at the hotel and were very pleased with the availability of handicap modifications (bathrooms) and the location of the elevators. For us, it was the perfect place to visit with family and we will certainly be back.

Some bathroom elements could have used updating.
