This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast and it was a very pleasant experience. The gentleman on site was so nice and the breakfast was wonderful. Such a nice setup and the food was great. Our room was very clean and nice with plenty of extras such as in room coffee/tea. The location was a bit far from the town center but the grounds itself was very pretty. Overall, it was a great experience and I'd absolutely stay at this property again!

My only complaint is simply that it's not as conveniently located around the town center as I'd like, which is no fault of the staff/owners. However, taxi services were easy and quick so it wasn't a deal breaker and I knew going in that it wouldn't be right in the town center.

Moreover, the breakfast served was a delightful start to each day. The quality of the breakfast not only ensured a satisfying meal but also set a positive tone for the day ahead, whether it involved sightseeing, business meetings, or relaxation. Overall, the combination made the stay in Kilkenny an enjoyable experience. It's no wonder that guests left with fond memories and a desire to return in the future.

David runs a top-notch establishment! We found him to be very outgoing, efficient and full of good local information. Launard House is a decent walk (10-15 minutes) from downtown Kilkenny; we took his advice and had dinner at Kyteler's Inn Excellent food and service and very steeped in tradition! David serves an excellent breakfast, asking guests to jot down their requests the night before so he can prepare them accordingly. There is ample on-site parking, excellent WiFi and location is easily accessed by local roads.

Absolutely nothing!

We were more than happy with our accommodation at Launard House. The host was very attentive to our needs and breakfast was excellent every morning of our stay. Breakfast Room was warm, and very nicely furnished. A great gathering place for guests. Our bedroom was very spacious, clean and quiet. With solar water heating system, we were more than willing to spend less time in the shower - so on top of everything else, it's environmentally friendly. Thanks for adding to our great time in Kilkenny .

Room a little bit cold in the morning. Would like to have had the heating on for a short time just so it wasn't such a shock to the system when crawling out of the warm bed.

The house was incredible with its period setting. Beautifully cared for and wonderfully maintained. Everything Irish we were looking for, coming from Canada. Our room was so pretty and extremely comfortable. Unfortunately we arrived very late at night so we weren't able to see the grounds. The morning brought the view of the grounds from our room and the the front entrance and wonderful to see, even with heavy rain. Having breakfast in that dining room was regal feeling. Such a beautiful room. For breakfast my sister chose the porridge, as per people's suggestions, and said it was the best she's ever had. I had pancakes and felt they were only ok, could have had the same anywhere. I might have chosen differently had we not been asked to decide upon check-in which for us was 2100. Host was welcoming and friendly as it seems most Irish are :)

The only thing negative was the lack of water pressure for the shower and toilet. Definitely needs fixing.

We stayed only one night in this welcoming quiet B&B within walking distance to the city center. Kind hosts and cute little dog. Good breakfast in the morning. Comfortable beds and warm shower. We would definitely come back.

The toilet and sink were on the small side especially since we were four people to share.

The owner is a very easygoing and helpful guy giving us directions to the town centre and advising us regarding restaurants and whatever we needed. The room was comfortable and clean. The location was perfect as it is within walking distance of the town centre. The breakfast was very delicious. It was a very pleasant 1 night's stay.

Hard to say if there was anything we didn't like. Maybe the reoccurring noise from a pressure pump, as a tap left slightly open somewhere in the house, but that is not the fault of the place or the owner. Finding the house was tricky as the same street name and house number existed about 100m down the main road.

Enjoyed the breakfast. Unique that David took the order when we checked in and also slotted a time for breakfast. It was served as ordered and had a good ambience for breakfast.

i think the property is slightly older so could use some sprucing up and maybe some color etc..

The host was lovely and very welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic. The area where it was situated was lovely and private. Private parking was great also.

I liked everything about it. The only issue was the shower was hard to control as it was scalding hot as the weather was very warm. Other than that everything else was perfect.

The host was very friendly and hospitable. The location was walkable but maybe too far for some people. About 20 minutes which we did not mind. Breakfast was great,

The bed was was a little hard. The bathroom/shower/sink were extremely small.
