Amy was excellent. Staff very friendly and worked hard. Too far from centre, bad location, couldn't cross any roads without putting your life at risk!! Not your fault obviously. Food excellent at hotel, we enjoyed many meals !! Yum yum Rooms were large and excellently maintained. TV worked well with good reception. Mattress alittle uncomfortable.

No air con. Mattress needed replacing, uncomfortable. Price too high for basic facilities. No drawers for clothing No small cup for coffee machine. No water offered in room even if we had to pay for it. Lots better than dragging it back to our room in a heatwave. Where were the biscuits?? ThT you get in England !!

It took only 15 mins steady walk to get into centre or a taxi at €7-€10. Or a bus stop 2 mins away. It was a nice friendly basic travelodge. Breakfast was OK. €11 if you booked day before €13 if you booked on the day. Big thanks to Tommy on reception who solved a room noise caused by something mechanical in the room for us. We passed him stood at a bus stop when his shift must have finished and he still took the time to tell us that our room was all sorted and he hoped we have a good stay. 👍

The first night, we had no sleep. A noise in the bathroom every hour at 20 past the hour kept us awake but it was quickly resolved the next day. Thought we might've got a free breakfast or complimentary drink as a nice gesture though🤔 🙃

Thomas at reception was friendly and welcoming - we arrived just after 12 and within 20 mins he had our room ready for us to check in. Also, spotted us on our return after check out and returned an item we had left in our room. so top marks for customer service. Its a travelodge, so lovely functional clean triple room, comfy bed and good temperature. Kettle in room. No fridge. A short 15 min walk into Eyre Square.

Breakfast - Fresh Fruit Salad We decided to stay for breakfast. We knew it wasn't going to be a breakfast with amazing choices, while it was good but could have been better. We had to ask for extra items to put out as there was three of us and fresh fruit salad was nearly empty, only enough for two. Obviously they had run out of fresh fruit and topped up with tinned fruit cocktail. They did keep the hot food refreshed and this was lovely, scrambled eggs, sausages, rashers, mushrooms, tomato and hash browns. There was a selection of Juices, Cereal, croissants, bread for toast and some fresh fruit. Cheese and cold meat selection was very small (but guess they don't have high demand to have more choice available)

Very friendly and international staff :) The room was comfy. We got a bigger room than we ordered so that's quite nice but can't really use the 3rd bed haha. Location isn't too bad. 20-30 min. walk from the centre.

The biggest minus is the weird working room cards - even when using right and the same way (not doing anything different with it to guess that it might be our fault) it took a while to get in our room. Shower missed some necessities and a very weird thing with hair irons - if you need it you have to get it from the reception (not very convenient to go down with wet hair).

There is on site parking, and it is only a 20 minute walk into town (we did this via the road by the river). The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The room was nicely decorated, with a very comfortable kingsize bed, and powerful shower. We heard no noise at all from any neighbours, which was great.

We overlooked the main road, which was noisy with traffic late into the night, and then again from 6am. The room was hot when we arrived (it faces west). It would be a good idea to perhaps ask the cleaning staff to close the curtains on south and west facing rooms during hot summer days, so as to keep the sun from blazing in all day.

We were somewhat cautious about booking a Travelodge, but were only staying 1 night and at €189 v €300 for another branded hotel in the city, the price dictated a lot. We did not expect what we got, the hotel is clearly nearing the end of a revamp and looks all the better for it. The reception area is bright, airy, and has a small bar and coffee dock (good coffee!). The check in was swift and staff very pleasant,(young guy). Room was also great, No.11, to the front, a little road noise, but nothing bad. Sunday morning, we have pre-paid for breakfast as we thought the options in town would be limited ahead of an 11am train, the breakfast was simply excellent, hot and cold choices, lovely granola and overnight oats, great coffee again. The location is great, short stroll into town. The lady on duty both Saturday and on Sunday morning is a credit to this hotel.

room got a bit warm and there seemed no way on controlling it, small bit of road noise to the front, but the beds were comfy, and TV etc was all working and had a great choice

Our family room was large enough to accommodate all of us, but space was a bit limited overall. The city center is within walking distance and breakfast alternatives and dinner options are even closer, so the location is great. The breakfast served at the hotel is standard, good but not outstanding. The room was spotlessly clean and the staff friendly and helpful.

With a family occupying the room it was a challenge to place the towels. A few more hanging hooks would be great.

Travelodge is situated ~1,3 km from the railway station, and 15-20 minutes by foot to the city center. There's a breakfast option, which I totally recommend😊 also there is a parking for those who travel by car.

There were no slippers unfortunately :( the floor is cold in a bathroom, thus it would be great to have slippers there

Good to have a breakfast bar, not always available at Travelodge places elsewhere

As is usual, the duvet on the single bed was narrow, so I used another duvet from the other single bed to tuck it in but was then to hot. But I know its practice to use the small duvets on single beds - OK for children but not so good for an adult who, when turning over, eventually loses the duvet altogether.

room good. location, depends how much you like walking, but it's not too far out of town, but 15 min walk or so, might go against some folk. breakfast - we paid for ours, ok.

can't think of anything that stood out as significant enough to say anything explicitly bad. slightly more expensive than similar hotel in Dublin at similar time, but supply and demand sure.
