We chose this hotel for our first night here in Ireland and it did not disappoint! First of all - amazing staff. Very polite. They let us check in earlier than the official check in time (~ an hour early). And we got a bigger room than we ordered! Got a bit sad that we stayed for one night haha. The room had all needed necessities. What amazed me the most was the bed - I'm not sure if we were THAT tired but it was the comfiest, biggest bed I've ever slept on. What I loved about the bathroom was that there were really clear instructions on how to use the shower (so you don't have to spend 10 minutes figuring it out haha) and there was a shower mat for safety! Everything was clean. Breakfast was also really good - a big variety of both hot and cold foods.

For a hotel being away from the centre the price seems a bit steep. It's a 30-40 minute walk (which is totally doable) but I do feel like it should affect the price. The official check in time is also quite late - you might get lucky like us and get your room an hour early but if you want an earlier check in than 15-16 - you have to pay more.

Food choice and quality was excellent. My husband is Caoelic and the difference this hotel made to his stay was unbelievable. 96% of its menu can be made Gluten Free. When your so used to searching around for something you can eat or just making do with whatever they can offer you. To have a proper choice like "normal" people. And then wash it down with a proper bottle of GF lager that they didn't have to go off searching the cellar for because they were sure they had some at sometime... staff were excellent. Knew what they were talking about. This made such a difference to our stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking to book a night away whether they're caoelic or not. Im not my husband is and we both thought this hotel was excellent and will be back

The breakfast was very good with all dietary needs supported and a great range of breakfast products. The room was very spacious with a settee for TV watching & a TV to watch from the lovely large bed. It was our 40th Wedding anniversary & a card & box of chocolates was left in the room which was a very nice touch.

Obviously the location can't be changed!, so we needed a car to get into Galway Centre, Taxi or Bus. If you are young & fit you could walk it. Also a dinner voucher scheme paid for in advance of staying, was not up to our satisfaction, where our meal cost less than the worth of the voucher and refund of price/cost not used was not available.

The staff were friendly and engaging throughout our stay, very comfortable patter that didn't seem forced. They seemed genuine and that went a long way. The breakfast too was great, my partner is foreign so doesn't necessarily like a full Irish but they had things like smoked mackerel etc, those little addionals went a long way.

The only thing I could really fault with the hotel is that you really have to take a taxi to get in and out of town. It's not a deal breaker by any means and the journey only cost around 10e each way so not the end of the world but I can't fault the hotel itself.

Very nice hotel just on the edge of the city. Comfortable rooms except for the climate control (see below on what you didn't like). Very nice restaurant onsite and breakfast and dinner were very delicious, Staff was very helpful and accommodating and were quite happy to answer our numerous questions. Wedding reception during out stay, but never heard a sound from the celebration as we slept.

Apparently only 4 rooms here have Air Conditioning. All other rooms have the option of a small fan. However, considering the windows open barely 4 inches, the fans only served to blow around the stale air. Sleeping wasn't terribly impacted by the warm room, but I wish I would have known when booking.

The room was spacious, breakfast fantastic, also the bar in the evening. Free parking, and excellent location to reach downtown Galway (e.g. Latin Quarter) or for driving to Moher or to the Aran island ferries. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

We missed a towel for the third person (our daughter) and a hair dryer., and had to ask two times to get these items to our room, on the second day, which was a bit surprising, but not a major tragedy.

Great location, large car park, very good for walking & public transport bus stop just by hotel, downside on bus is cash only unless you have prepaid card. Walking(which I do) 5mins to local shopping centre, 20mins city centre &/or cathedral, if going around city walking is best as traffic is always very heavy. The hotel is a good location with very good food menu @ fair price where, you can relax with a drink, away from the very busy city night life. Hotel provides very efficient taxi service with a local firm, timely & pleasant & standard pricing, just be aware taxis are, pricy as most in most cities are. parking in the city centre is difficult and expensive, mostly multistorey. There are lots of walks along the corrib down to sea.area & Latin qrt

Public bus service taking card payment No.of road works and construction going on in and around city Traffic lights operating a little better for pedestrian, definitely geared for road users

The food in the restaurant was amazing and very friendly staff. The rooms are a fantastic size and the bed was very comfortable. We had 4 rooms for our group of 8 adults and everyone was very happy. The breakfast that was included with our room is probably the best hotel breakfast I've ever had. The shower has wonderful pressure and plenty of steaming hot water.

The tiles and caulking in the shower need replaced. The shower was sparkling clean but unfortunately they have the black mildew color and smell that is common. The whole facility is amazing just need to update this one small thing for a perfect ten.

Modern business hotel on the outskirts of Galway. Great bedrooms and bathrooms. Large public areas and bars on the groundfloor. Restaurant closed in the evening for coach parties but good bar food options. Very helpful reception staff.

Long walk into town, more suited for those with a car. Full Irish breakfast was buffet style and could have been better. Continental option was excellent though.

this hotel was so amazing . on arrival we were told that they had upgraded our room for free which was so lovely and when we arrived to room we were so impressed with how lovely and stylish and BIG the room was!! my boyfriend had also organises rose petals and bathrobes and slippers to be in our room on arrival which was all so beautiful! breakfast was 10/10 and our room was serviced on our second day while we were away with a freshly made made , new water bottles , new toilet paper etc .. a perfect trip away thanks to the Menlo park hotel !!

only problem was that on the website it claims to be 1.4km from the centre but it was actually about 4km which doesn’t sound like much but made a big difference in being able to walk in and in the prices of the taxis in and out of the city but this wasn’t a massive issue.
