Dún Ard

We booked Dun Ard for 2 nights so that se can visit Dungarvan and ride bikes along the Waterford Greenway. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate. Our hostesses were most hospitable and gave us other recommendations for rainy days. They made us a delicious breakfast.

Joe, the owner was very friendly and served an amazing breakfast. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereal etc, and a beautiful big super tasty full Irish! The house is very beautiful and a wonderful big bedroom with all mod cons. I highly recommend it 😊😊

Only able to stay 1 night.

We chose Dun Ard in Ring just outside Dungarvan as our base while cycling the Greenway. Joe was the perfect host and very welcoming. Our room had a lovely view of the manicured garden and was very cosy with a large comfortable bed and spacious bathroom with a bath tub and shower. The cooked breakfast and fresh fruit went down a treat and Joe was very helpful with suggestions for dinner in nearby Dungarvan. The accommodation is located in a quiet area overlooking the bay with ample parking. Our stay here was very enjoyable and relaxing. Would love to visit again sometime soon!

Everything was perfect.

I'm posting on behalf of my parents. My siblings and I treated my parents to two nights in the Rinn Gaeltacht for their anniversary. They loved their stay, loved the area and thought that Dún Ard was fabulous. They were particularly impressed with the wonderful breakfast, especially considering the restrictions due to Covid_19 which meant a normal buffet was not possible. My partner and I are looking forward to seeing for ourselves in the not too distant future.

The place was immaculate. The room was very comfortable. The breakfast was lovely and nicely presented. The host was very pleasant and provided a wonderful service.

I don’t think that the host could have done more.

Beautiful luxurious B & B. The breakfast was the best cooked that I have had, lovely homemade bread and beautiful cutlery and crockery. Felt like we were in a 5* hotel. Very helpful host giving us helpful local information and ordered a taxi for us. Luxurious bedroom, very comfortable bed and large bathroom with a rain shower and jacuzzi bath. Very quiet location.

There was nothing you could fault.

The room we got was absolutely lovely so clean and comfortable and spacious the en suite bathroom also was lovely. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. It was my partner's birthday and the Joe the owner had arranged a Cake for me and had it for us when we arrived at the property. I would 100% recommend this property .

You would need a car if you wanted to stay here as it's outside of the town.

The room was comfortable and big, facilities are working and clean, the host is very hospitable and caring. The interior design was made by a professional and it feels like staying in a place with a history. We had a long 60km trip on a rented bikes from Waterford and were quite tired when we reached the destination. It is around 10km from Dungarvan - not very bike-friendly and uphill path (but manageable to do).

We had a lovely stay with Joe. The room was of a very high standard with a very comfortable bed.Breakfast was great. Would highly recommend.

Slight issue would be the distance from Dungarvan.

The whole breakfast experience for the two of us was an epicurean delight. Anne's omelette was a full breakfast, light and fluffy and full of goodness. The full Irish was a treat, fruit and yogurt was varied and delicious. Orange juice to begin set the tone. We had enormous pleasure in our bricféasta.
