Danubius Hotel Hungaria City Center

The room is quite spacious with comfortable bed, bathroom was clean and nice! The view from the room balcony was spectacular. They even provided with complementary cookies and instant coffee (kettle was available in the room). There is also a restaurant (coffee shop) which is open till 10pm, where you can eat if you do not want to go out and eat. The food was worth the money and tasty.

There two things! 1. The original booking was in the hotel of city center and it was changed due to management decision. Due to this, the hotel which we were moved to was about 20mins away from city center! Even though they have informed us about this, I found it strange and inappropriate. 2. The door-lock was not working properly (I know, people won't simply enter the room but it still it is not good). Thanks to the chained stopper with which were sure that the room is locked properly from inside. I had already informed the reception about it, but it was not taken care. Apart from this, other things were very good.

Facilities were great as was the lobby bar which also served food till 10 pm. Staff at reception were welcoming and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. Overall, a good hotel.

It was really hot in Budapest and the air conditioning did not work well in the room. It just made the room bearable. The biggest issue was the maid /housekeeping staff. They did not clean the room properly at all. They also neglected to leave coffee / tea things. I had to go downstairs to get both coffee and tea one day because I had finished the one packet they left. The next day they did not leave any creamer and sugar. And the phone to housekeeping did not work. Zero points for maid service /housekeeping.

The location of the hotel is excellent, well connected with other parts of the city by public transport. The staff was very kind and the breakfast was good. The room was quite big and had a lovely view of the main train station. The hotel offers paid parking, which is quite nice in Budapest (as parking isn't that easy to come by in the city).

The room could have been cleaned better, especially the bathroom. There was no paper on the toilet marking it being sanitized before our arrival (as you usually see in hotels) and there was some hair in the toilet itself. There was also some hair in the bathtub. The towels were changed daily, but on some days not al the towels we got were completely clean. Also, it took several minutes for hot water to come each time we took a shower, probably due to the room being on the seventh floor.

Spacious lovely room, super comfy bed. Everything was super clean. Honestly great for the price! Breakfast was good, plenty of options of savoury, sweet, coffee and juice. Very good location, close to the metro station and only 30 mins walk from the city centre with most of the attractions. I loved the style of the hotel as well, really stylish, massive hall, 24hrs reception full of staff ready to assist. Free luggage room which is perfect for when you check out but want to stay in town a few more hours.

The room was near a busy street so it can get quite nosy. I don't mind but if you are a light sleeper you might want to consider this.

Well, breakfast was quite nice and regularly checked all foods etc by staff whether adequate food beens at each bench or not. Variety of food was also sufficient. Regarding room, room itself and bed were clean. Hotel provides kettle and 2 cups with various tea and coffees for free. Also there is a mini refrigerator was operative. Location is quite good also, you can walk anywhere or reach any public transport easily. Perfect noice isolation. When you closed the window, room becomes completely quiet. Water around the Budapest is safe to drink. You can drink tap water.

Tableware shall be cleaned better. Some plates and cups were not clean.During stay, there was only one problem regarding the room that I faced and that was unclean bathroom and towels. I have stated that issue but housekeeping and lobby didn't care about it unfortunately. I used my own towel and clean bathroom myself. HVAC system was not working.

- I had a nice and bright room on the 4th floor, with great views over the plaza and Keleti railway station; - breakfast was excellent, I couldn't stop stuffing my face; - location s simply unbeatable; - Great and very friendly people in reception, always trying to do an extra effort to make you feel comfortable; - souvenir shop inside is a nice touch, if you ran off time and didn't buy some small goodies to bring back hime; - Spar and Lidl are nearby, if someone needs to have snacks in the room all the day round; - stable and good WiFi connection all over the Hotel; - luggage room available, so you are able to leave your luggage while expecting to check in, and it is safely stored and guarded by Hotel personnel. - toiletries like soap, gel and shampoos, as well as sewing kit, shower caps and cleaner for shoes were very useful. Great and comfortable stay and very pleasant experience about Danubius Hungary City Center Hotel. 👏👍👌

The room was quite spacious with a beautiful outside view from the window. Room had everything that one could ask for. The train station is at a walking distance with restaurants, cafes and shops a few steps away from the hotel. The room and bathroom was very clean and good. I really liked and enjoyed the homemade biscuits and bottle of water given as awelcome gift by the hotel.

I do not have much to say about any dislikes but if the breakfast price is reduced then it would be much better and easier to have and enjoy breakfast too in the hotel.

Superb hotel with nice decoration and is close to the city center. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, which connects to the airport, and a metro stop in very close proximity to the hotel. The hotel is also close to Keleti Station with a train connection to Vienna and other EU cities. The room was enormous and clean, bathroom was big and nicely decorated. Breakfast was delicious and with very good choices to start the day. Highly recommend this hotel for Budapest city breaks, especially for family travelers. Thank you for a pleasant stay!

CHECK-IN We booked a Superior Double room but when we checked in we got a free upgrade for the Superior Family room (which we were really grateful for!)The receptionist was friendly and welcoming BREAKFAST The breakfast was surprisingly really good- lots of bread and pastries options, as well as hot breakfasts and cold salads and fruits etc. ROOM The room was spacious with very tall ceilings and decent amount of storage wardrobes (albeit the room looking very dated with old carpets and decor) Things they provide: - Hand soap bars - Shampoo - Shower gel - Towels - Hairdryer - Fridge - Kettle - Tea/Coffees - TV with basic channels LOCATION Easy to find! Like 2mins walk from the end of the M4 station (Keleti Palyaudvar) or 10mins walk from the Astoria station.

- We stayed a few days ago during one of their heatwaves where temperatures reached 36oc during the day and 26oc during the night, but found that our Air-Con wasn’t working (which I read on other reviews, something they REALLY should invest on fixing) and one of our windows wouldn’t open either so it was a very sweaty few nights.

Central location, exceptionally clean and cosy room, and great breakfast interms of quality and variety. I would definitely love to stay at this place again.

It's not really too bad, but I believe the reception staff can smile a little more and show more energy in their work.. I arrived around 20hrs and I had to wait for approx 20mins to be checked-in because the 2 receptionists on duty were busy checking in some groups that arrived before. May be it will be a good idea to have more receptionists on duty or find a more efficient way of registering groups to avoid delays at the reception desk. The staff at the breakfast were great. For the two breakfasts I had there, they were always welcoming and smiling.
