Electra Hotel Piraeus

We were four people with two kids of 6 and 8 years old. We spent the night because we had to take a ferry at 6:00 am the following morning. I was worried about the area because harbours are not the best places of a city but this is not the case of Piraeus or at least the area where the hotel is. The hotel is next to the main street, extremely close to the harbour and we didn’t feel unsafe at any time ( we were walking through the street at 5 a.m). The are other hotels surrounding older and bad mantained that i would not recommend with kids

There is not elevator and the room was in second floor. But considering the price of the hotel it is not a complaint

Location was fantastic for an early morning ferry to the islands. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms had all the basics covered and was ideal for a 1 night stopover. Property is surrounded by cafes/bakery’s/taverna’s that will keep you happy and fed well. Short walk to not only the ferry port but also to Piraeus station for connections by the Metro green line to Central Athens and to Airport. We will definitely stay again.

Electra Hotel deserves top marks for convenience, friendly staff and service! We stayed at the start of our island hopping trip in Electra early September. It's so close to the ferry terminals and the Metro. We could store our heavy backpacks free of charge! Yesterday we returned late in the evening. Check in was quick and easy. It was so good to be back. We collected our bags. The twin bed room was clean and spacious. Today we had a late check-out. Thanks Yiannis, Dimitris and Dimitris! We'll be back if/when we return to Piraeus!

There's no shower curtain but not a big concern

Excellent value for money, and a really convenient location for the Piraeus port. The room (single) was of good size, with a well working aircon. The bathroom was fine too, but the lack of shower curtain was a bit peculiar. The staff were nice, and a late checkout is offered at a small fee, which was really a great option, if your ferry/flight is later in the day. Otherwise, they also store luggage for free.

- The street seemed quite quiet, but you can hear the noise from the corridor quite well. It's not really an issue if people just go in an out of their rooms, but some people had a conversation outside my door and I could hear everything. - Unless you are going to/from the ferries, I really wouldn't recommend Piraeus as an area to stay in for visits in Athens. It's not that pretty couldn't find an area with decent bars or restaurants, and there are some shady characters. That is not the fault of the hotel of course, but when you consider "location", the location is the convenience for transit, and not for staying.

The cleanliness, staff, location and price are excellent. Do not mistake that this in an elegant luxury hotel, this is clean, comfortable and located in an excellent place for access to air, sea, rail and road.

The lack of an elevator is tough for elderly people, but the staff took that into account by placing us on the first floor and carrying luggage for us.

Stayed for a 5 hr sleep before catching the ferry the next morning. We arrived really late because our flight was delayed but the reception was still open past 11pm. The room was clean & had great water pressure. AC worked really well. We fit 5 people in the room and managed to sleep just fine. Right around the corner from the port, would recommend for a one night stay or if wanting a cheap place outside the Athens center since the metro is very cheap and very close to Electra. Plenty of cafes including a 24 hr cafe on the main street (around the corner).

The reception very helpful and efficient..The room was quiet, looking out to a courtyard , clean and air-conditioned..It looked recently refurbished..Right by the port and good eating places. Great for a stay before catching the early ferry..

Please Europe....how hard is it to affix the shower head to the wall? 🤔 It's real awkward taking a proper shower when you have to hold the showerhead in your hands🤷

Location was as good as it gets to get to the early morning ferry with no hassle. A couple of minutes by foot and you're ready to go.

I gave it an 8 from the viewpoint that I was using the room as a stopgap for one night. This isn't the type of place you'd want to stay at for more than a night, or else the score would be a little lower. Manage your expectations here and you'll be fine.

Location, around the corner of gate E7, and busstop of X96 bus. Safe feeling when travelling alone. Basic room, however it has a fridge, a hairdryer, storage room. Bed was good enough, not my favorite but in good condition. Clean room

Bathroom, no hanging system, no cabin or curtain so everything was wet. Uncomfortable shower, but good pressure and hot water. No lift, but only 2 floors.

This is a budget hotel right near the port. The rooms are much the same in most of the hotels in the area, comfortable but simple. What makes it special is the staff, they respond. They made it possible for me to change dates, I was able to check in late and check out late, I could store my big suitcase downstairs, they described a place I could buy dinner at 3 am, no less. After almost 24 hours of journey I was very happy to stop there and get some rest, thank you!
