GHOTEL hotel & living Würzburg

My room was on the 15th floor. The view was magnificent. The breakfast was great. I was in another hotel before GHotel. The breakfast menu was the same in both hotels. Room was clean and large. However, its design could be better (i.e and additional table in the room could fill the space and make the life easier). The kitchen in the room was cozy and nice.

There was no gym and swimming pool. I wish we had access to the top floor or the roof of the building. The hotel told me that it is private and guests of the hotel cannot access it. The Ghotel was the tallest building in the area and I believe that the roof top has a breathtaking view. Its unfortunate that we did not have access to that view.

Simple but nice and new room. Close walking distance from the city center. I was offered a room upgrade of my Business Comfort room that I haven`t used. Alternatively I would have had a better view from 12+ floors and probably other features. But even the Business room was OK. Big internal garage at 14 eur per night.

The hotel is being rennovated (or in construction phase) now, so there was noise from the works on other floors. Unfortunately wasn`t possible to open the room windows for getting some fresh air.

Extremely friendly staff, great view and tasty breakfast. That says pretty much all I wished to say and IMO all that is necessary, but "the review form" demands more. So I could add, for example, that the seed dispensers for the muesli add-ons were of particularly exquisite design and now we already have the minimum required no. of characters...

Being a high-rise building, you can't open any of the windows, which I personally dislike. The air and climate were fine despite this restriction though. The carpets won't win any beauty prizes but I only mention this because my list of dislikes is apparently otherwise too short. Get on it booking.com!

Fantastic location in walking distance to the palace residence, which is a top tier must-see UNESCO site in Germany. They gave us a room near the top floor with an amazing view and the room was modern & clean.

Trying to get downstairs from the 15th level during the checkout window is a huge challenge (in part due to COVID spacing restrictions). Everyone on lower levels would push the "up" button on the elevator so it would fill up on the way up and then all of the elevators arrived full when they opened on the 15th floor. Had to wait ~15 mins before there was any space available on an elevator going down.

The room was clean. It had a nice view (on 16. floor) The hotel is next to the gas station and you can make some grocery shopping from there. The bus stop is close to the hotel and the breakfast was satisfying.

The empoyees of the restaurant were really great. Fast, kind and always smiling. But the receptionist for check-in was not very hospitable. I would expect a smile or a warm attitude as the reception creates the first impression for the hotel.

The views from the room are really good. It's well located for touristic trip. Breakfast was excellent.

Staff organization, we cued for check in, breakfast and check out. Although people was chatting around, no one was actually taking care of the guests. "Funny fact": we arrived, there were 8 people in the reception chatting, the receptionist after finishing with the previous guest asked us to go to another computer with the colleague... but there was no colleague, so we asked and she laughed saying will come... so she didn't want to work neither

We arrived at 11am and my partner wasn't feeling great but the reception were great in letting have access to a room straight away. Unfortunately we were put on the side with no view of the main town but we could hardly quibble. Lovely large room with air con and kitchenette. Nice breakfast buffet. Convenient underground car park.

Absolutely nothing in the kitchenette, still using Covid as an excuse so had to ask in the bar for crockery and cutlery to eat our snack tea.

spacious room, especially the executive rooms. fair price, good value for money, reasonable location and modern furniture. very helpful and friendly staff.

little feedback before check in whether the special requests could be fulfilled or not. Nonetheless during check in, the staff were very friendly and did their best to address our requests.

The room was espacious, nice looking and clean. We had a corner room with an extremely nice 180° view over the city. This hotel is one of the few tall buildings in Würzburg so try to get a higher room to get a nicer view, it's worth it. We were given 2 bottles of water for free as a welcome gift. The city centre is easily accesible either by public transport or by walking (around 10-15 mins depending on your pace). Wifi is free and rooms have LAN connection for your laptop. The breakfast was epic and since there are very few reviews that talk about this I will extend a bit. It's a buffet with both hot and cold plates. You have to make a time reservation for the next day, but they tell you so once you check in. This is what we can remember of the 2 times we went to have breakfast: Eggs (scrambled and hardboiled), bacon, beans, champignons, tomatoes, paprika, cucumber, small sausages, cereals (around 5 different), fruit (4-5 different types served as a whole), fruit salad (with 5-6 different types, cut in small pieces), yoghurt (plain and red fruit), ham (3-4 different types), cheese (3-4 different types), salmon, bread (4-5 different types), orange juice, multi fruit juice, tea (around 6 types), coffee. Delicious, organised and no issues for us whatsoever. The staff is great, ready to help you with what you need at any time. We didn't have any issues during our stay. All in all, a great short experience with the hotel, extremely good value for money, and definitely would book with them again.

The room lacks either a small coffee maker or a kettle. This is probably one of the only rooms in a hotel where we have stayed where this was not supplied (even some hostels have one in the kitchen that you can use anytime you want). Even though this is not supplied, you can go at anytime to the front desk and buy either coffee or tea (around 2-3 eur).

lovely clean hotel and ideal for our purposes quite basic rooms but plenty of room.

unfortunately the restaurant wasn’t open so we had to eat out. not a major problem but having spent all day in the car, it would have been nice to eat on the premises. Also there wasn’t any coffee/tea making facilities which would have been nice
