Novum Hotel Kronprinz Hamburg Hauptbahnhof

We were very pleased with our stay in the Kronprinz. We booked the hotel based on reasonable price close to the station. The room was a good size, generally quiet with a comfortable bed and decent bathroom. We had read some negative comments about the breakfast in advance on booking.com but were pleasantly surprised by a nice spread of high-quality options. The hotel was very close to both the art museum and the arts and crafts museum which we enjoyed visiting.

The decor in places was a little jaded, likewise the carpets were obviously old but this did not detract from a good stay and at the price we paid we were very content.

I've used this hotel 3 or 4 times before. Ideally located just across the road from Hamburg's main railway station. Its clean and comfortable with excellent breakfasts. I would have no hesitation in using it again because of its convenience and practicality.

The only thing we had issues with was the shower... we could never manage to get the temperature right, but I wouldn't let that spoil our visit.

The room is very clean with high ceiling looking over to the Hamburg Central Station clock tower. We get to enjoy live music from our room when there's a live band across the street. There's a popular restaurant next door that you can try out. Even when the restaurant was blasting EDMs or crowded, we can't really hear them in the room which is a huge plus!

A great location right opposite the central train station. The room and public areas were clean, the bed comfortable and the shower nice and powerful. Breakfast was amazing as it normally is in Germany.

My room was at the back of the hotel, so didn’t get any road noise but because of this I had really poor and intermittent Wi-Fi and 4G coverage which made things a little awkward for me, but not a deal breaker.

Near to the hauptbahnhof and many restaurants in just 200 mt distance from the hotel. King's restaurant is just opposite to the hotel and one can find good Indian food at the restaurant.

Good quality wifi was not available and since my room was at the corner, it was hard to see a simple youtube video without interruption of wifi.. I hope how good the hotel is, the wifi can be of better quality.

Location was excellent, right across the road from the train station and not far from the attractions we came to see. Room was a good size with ventilation options and a good sized bathroom, though the shower is over the bath. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good and staff helpful.

WiFi was dreadful.

Excellent location!! Very nice and friendly staff, clean rooms, good breakfast, comfortable beds. Good value for the money. This was my second time to stay there and not my last time for sure. Thank you so much.

No refrigerator in rooms.

A very comprehensive breakfast, the food and drinks always rapidly replenished when used, and a very clean dining room. The staff were extremely hard working and friendly.

the vending machine was available to pay by card or cash and the first day we used the card and the incoming days the staff down told us it was not possible to pay by card

The hotel location is really good just in front of train station and easy to access to shopping street and restaurant just around the corner.The receptionist name Hakim he is so nice and approachable friendly staff and the breakfast is good.
