AZIMUT Hotel Dresden

It was clean and comfortable. The room was a decent size and the bathroom had everything you needed. There was also a small balcony, a minibar and desk but no kettle, which would have been more useful. The car park was full so we had to leave the car in the road a couple of hundred years away. All in all it was a good hotel but it is not a 4 star hotel as it is a bit worn. The location is ok if you have a car and can drive into the centre, however there is no free parking in town ( as you would expect) and public transport is not terribly cheap. Too far to realistically walk and when we went it rained all day so was not an option.

Room was very big (as for 2 persons), there is a mini bar with cold drinks, I liked that there are left special glasses to pour a drink it is much more tastier. The personal helped with a parking loot it was fast and comfy (parking place availability is booked only when you arrive in place). There is bar and restaurant in the same building. Good place to leave car and go to city center via tram, tram station is nearby (2 min walk) and after 20 min you will be at Dresden old town. I do not recommend to drive with car in the center it could be difficult to navigate and to park because it's crowded, also there is an ecological fee and in center there were many road repairs so some roads are blocked.

EXTREMELY soft beds - you lie down and disappear inside the bed ;) Double bed is already out of usable WiFi coverage Troublesome shower with irregular water temperature (requires regular adaptation during showering) No air condition (only fan). In warm weather it could be quite hot under the roof A bit dated furniture, but OK Smell in the corridor

I loved how the hotel is only a 30 min tram ride away from most of the tourist attractions like the zoo, and the museums. The breakfast was great, and on my last day because I had to check out to catch my flight home before the breakfast was ready the staff made me a breakfast/lunch bag to take with me. I also liked how the hotel has Sky Atlantic in English so I was able to watch some good TV shows.

I wish that the hotel had a pool or leisure facilities.

The young man on reception was exceptionally welcoming and helpful with arranging the parking, explaining how to get into the centre of Dresden and telling us of local facilities. The location is excellent - on the outskirts of Dresden but with a tram only 100 yards away going directly into the Tourist centre. The associated Italian restaurant had excellent food and was good value.

Only advantages and positive experience! Hotel staff is really friendly and ready to help and support. The teapot and slippers were provided from the first call. I have a gluten-free diet, and for breakfast they baked a fresh gluten-free bread for me - it was absolutely amazing. We stayed with a family and booked two rooms. The hotel kindly provided us neighbour rooms as we desired. Thank you so much 😊!

We liked almost everything! Very friendly and helpful receptionists, very clean. There are options to park your car either outside or underground. We booked the room for 3 persons and it was quite fine and comfortable. Location is very good, tram stop is 2 min walk, 20 minutes and you are on Altmarkt. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices.

Bed linen is quite noisy :)

Good place to stay - in a quite city district, and still convenient to get to the center by tram. It's worth walking around the neighbouring estates and see how the Germans live.

The fridge was out of order in the room. Though we didn't really need it. I'm sure the staff can fix it on your demand.

They certainly are trying to improve this hotel. For sure headed in the right direction. The Italian restaurant attached has great food.

old fashioned keys for doors was a surprise outdated feature.

The rooms were clean, the receptionists were nice - so overall, for its price and category it was okay. Breakfast was good, with several options to choose from.

The parking is an additional 9€ or 11€ and there weren’t any free places left, so we needed to leave our car on the street.
