Pension Absolut Berlin

Well located! Plus the room in itself was really lovely. The staff & host is very nice and helpful, the neighbourhood was exactly what we were looking for! It's a very nice location for Berlin if you're looking for cute cafes, trendy/hipstery shops & restaurants! The room was very cozy and cleaned everyday! Very easy to access as well!

The only LITTLE thing that could be said is that the double bed wasn't very comfortable. It squeaked quite a bit and it was sometimes a little bit hard to sleep on.

A lovely, well designed accommodation with very nice and helpful staff in a really good neighborhood walking distance to plenty of eateries and lots of public transport options. Appreciated the communal kitchen for making tea at night. all rooms on ground floor but there are good window shutters for night and light curtains for day and good windows so we heard very little from the street. I would definitely stay again.

staff is on site only until 1pm so if you have a late flight and want to store luggage you can’t leave it here but there’s the U-Bhf Gesundbrunnen with 24 hour lockers and an easy ten minute tram ride from the pension. be sure to have coins as it doesn’t take bills or cards. That’s not a complaint; just an FYI. no complaints!

The bed was incredibly soft and comfy! The bathrooms were shared with other guests however it was very clean and tidy. The location was fantastic. We used the trains to get around and it was very easy to get to the city center. Cafes close by and delicious restaurants too.

An improvement suggestion would be to add more cubby space in the bathroom so you can comfortably stowe your toiletries during a shower. But other than that it was phenomenal!

Major reason for choosing the hotel is the location. It is just across the street from people we are visiting. It is very quiet (having a room to the back) and a good firm bed

Although the bed is very good it is squeezed in so it is very tight around it. You need to be in pretty good shape to jump in and out of it. The fan in the bathroom is very noisy and continue quite a long time after turning it off.

The room was clean and comfy. Newly furbished, renovated bathroom interiors.

The walls are thin and you could hear people walking upstairs at night or in the hallway in the morning. The building is a bit old, so if you didn't run the shower for half of the day, it was a bit smelly. Comes from the old plumbing and cannot easily be avoided in older buildings like this in my experience.

Absolut Berlin was in the perfect location - close to the more touristy things (Prater Bier Garten, etc) but in the most beautiful neighborhood, perfect for walking around, sitting in cafes, finding yummy cheap food, and feeling like a local. Found a very sweet restaurant and bar one block away - Frau Mittenmang’s - where I spent a cozy evening and made many local friends. I couldn’t recommend this stay enough!

if you are a light sleeper, I might rent a room farther from the street (I was in the first room on the corner, so it could get a bit loud and bright bc of the street lights). it wasn’t a problem for me tho :)

It was a quaint little place in a good neighborhood and location, about a 10 min walk to the U/S-Bahn. Bed was comfortable and the wifi was good. Shared kitchen but private bathroom.

My room was on street level. The curtains didn’t fully cover the windows so people could likely see into part of the inside at night. The walls were thin and you could hear people outside, beside and above. It’s more hostel than hotel, but with a private room and bathroom.

My boyfriend and I spent two nights in Berlin the accomodation was great, the bed was comfortable and the room, kitchen, and joined bathrooms were super tidy. We traveled around the city from Pension Absolut Berlin with rent bikes ( 10/10 recommend for visiting all sights - we paid 15€ for the whole day), with trains and buses; the travel lines are often, fast and enjoyable.

Wonderfully welcoming and friendly host, quiet and adequate room, nicely equipped shared kitchen with all required facilities, excellent communication, easy self-checkin via code sent well in advance, fairly close to public transport, and a good general vibe in the area with many options around food and coffee within walking distance. Access to Nespresso machine and a range of teas. Would definitely consider staying again. Relatively convenient access to a supermarket not far away.

Nothing - all was good and per expectations.

Clean & comfortable rooms. A little shared kitchen with a microwave & fridge.

The walls are thin and some of the other guests were a tad loud early in the morning. I think information should be displayed to all guests to remind them to be mindful of others and quiet during late nights and early mornings.
