The staff went above and beyond to ensure our requests were met and could not have been more helpful. Do check out and ask directly for the "Little Prince Suite" - an adjoining room suite, fully half of which is dedicated, in extraordinary detail, to the book of the same name (Le Petit Prince).

The hotel, as others have noted, is in an older building and some things like HVAC and bathroom venting show those signs of age. The aircon works, but may not be up to some US travelers' standards.

We stayed in this hotel 9 years ago when we first traveled to France. I booked it again because we enjoyed it so much. It didn't disappoint. All staff is friendly and courteous. Any small requests were handled easily and without a problem. Service in both the restaurant and bar was wonderful. I love having coffee in a press for breakfast!! The hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas to go along with the Christmas markets in town. It is a short walk to the Christmas markets, the cathedral and any other sight seeing you might want to do. We parked our car for the 3 nights we were there and didn't feel the need to get it to drive anywhere.

Absolutely everything. The location, the breakfast buffet with its wide variety, the very nice and helpful staff and the spacious room. The concierge was very helpful in guiding us where to go in and out of strasbourg and booked us a day trip to the Black Forest. I highly recommend this hotel.

Dinner menu at the restaurant lacks variety

The location was nice and the hotel was comfortable and pleasant. The reception staff were very friendly and they provided dog dishes in the room for us which was a nice touch. The outdoor terrace at the front of the hotel was nice and atmospheric for drinks and a simple meal.

It is priced above other 4-5 star hotels in the city and I don’t see what merits the higher price tag other than the Sofitel name. The room was very very small and a little dated. The serving staff at the restaurant were not really up to speed and the menu was very limited, though the food was decent.

The attention of the staff exceptional, the location, super clean and comfortable. The breakfast super and the guy Romain Chateau very professional and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for all its qualities. Impossible to miss the church in front of the hotel a jewel of the city.

Perfect location to go for sightseeing and for eating. Very friendly and professional staff service. Breakfast was excellent.

Refrigerator was not working on the first day, and the drinking water was not cold at all. However, hotel staff‘s counter treatments were excellent, so we did not feel any inconvenience. It would be even nicer if this hotel could have a nice restaurant for dinner.

Excellent staff, excellent location and service

Breakfast is very little and there is no variety, especially for Arabs or Muslims. Also, the timing of breakfast is from six in the morning until ten, where it is suggested that the time be from 7 to 11 or an increase in time, as most people are tourists. Also, the rooms are small and cramped

For starters, the location is great, the staff were all amazing and we totally enjoyed our stay. The facilities are very clean but sadly, the ambiance is of a tired hotel. Classy but outdated. The plumbing in room wasn’t 100%, the room was dark, furnishings old, carpeting well-worn and musty.
