Hotel Le Bourbon Pau Centre

Good location with the Parking in front of the hotel. The entrance of the hotel is not nice but the rooms are clean and big. Very good system of heating. Wifi is perfect. Breakfast was very nice with bread, croissants, etc. I asked for gluten-free and lactose-free diets for my husband and the hotel gave us everything! The breakfast room is cosy and very well decorated (with a beautiful view of the square).The staff is very kind and very supportive. Next time in Pau, I will be there again.

Great location

While the hotel was in a great location it was absolutely horrendous to get to. At every turn the roads leading to the square were either blocked or no entry. After eventually arriving at the hotel and speaking to the person on reception they informed me the local authority closes a lot of the roads leading into the square in July and August which left us with one small side street open to reach the underground car park. Other than that i found the rooms very tired and dated although they were clean.

The room was at the back of the hotel as we wanted somewhere quiet. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bonus was the air conditioning as this meant we could sleep. The city is vibrant and everyone we met was helpful. We did not have breakfast as we wanted to try the local cafes which was really nice as we had some fantastic petit de’jeuner. The hotel was convenient for us to explore the city and see the delights the Pau has to offer. Thank you

Great location in centre. We were just passing on the way to the mountains, but it’s a lively town worth a visit in its own right. Great choice of restaurants nearby

Those darned one way systems and roadworks! Drove round it five times!

We had booked for 1 night and ended up staying for 3 because our car broke down. The help and consideration we received from the proprietor and staff were off the charts and very much appreciated. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Pau. It was very good value for money in a great location.

Absolutely nothing.

The staff where very friendly & welcoming, location was very good & the hotel was very clean & tidy.

All 3 pillows provided for 2 people we’re terrible & did not provide decent head support, even when doubled up. They need immediate replacement. While the location for access to the city was excellent, youths outside made constant noise all night until about 4am in the morning.

The hotel is situated right in the square and is ideally situated for all the sights. The breakfast was a typical French breakfast with unlimited coffee and only 8 euros which is the cost of one coffee !. I would definitely stay again.

Tiny elevator, but it does the job

Great location and super friendly staff who all went out of their way to account for the fact my French is very basic. Basic rooms but perfectly adequate for our needs. Breakfast offering which is basic but plentiful and the price is about what you would expect to pay.

No parking at the hotel but there is a public underground car park a 5 minute walk away, however this has to paid separately.

Excellent location in the city center, close to restaurants, on a road with restricted access, allowing taxis, Therefore is a quiet place. Very good value for money. It is rated as 2 stars but surely it is more like 3. The staff was cordial and very helpful. The hotel has a lift, it is clean, and has a decent breakfast for the price.
