Hôtel et Spa La Villa K - Basel Airport

The staff was very nice - really tried their best to provide good service. Well done! The property is stylish and pretty, our room was cozy and spacious, the breakfast was nice and we loved the ambience of the restaurant in the courtyard. When we checked out it was a hot summer day (36 Celsius), left our bags at the reception and when we returned from the city we were allowed to take a shower in the spa before going to the airport. We will book here when next time in Basel!

Can't recall anything... maybe a bit far from Basel city centre... but public transport is really good so we did not think it was a problem.

We love the bedroom, beautiful and with many books around, we also love the ropes! so confortable and good for relaxing after a whole day outside and then finding out our flight got cancelled. The breakfast in the morning was perfect, great selection and lovely staff.

I would have loved to take a bath! but sadly our room had only shower, I am not sure if other rooms had baths or if we could have request one...also we thought the room might have a mini fridge and it didn't. Its not essential but wonder if other rooms had mini fridge.

The hotel arranged a shuttle to pick us up from the Europort airport 3.5 km away so that we could drop off our luggage and explore the town while our room was being prepared. The next morning a shuttle whisked us back to the airport at 5 a.m. for our 7 a.m. flight. A stop for the 604 bus line near the hotel provides easy 12-minute connection to Basel's old town (Schifflaende). We didn't want to stay at an impersonal airport hotel, nor did we want to pay Swiss hotel rates and were pleased to be able to enjoy wandering around Saint-Louis for an afternoon. We didn't have an opportunity to use the spa or enjoy breakfast, but were very satisfied with our accommodations which were very clean and comfortable.

The heart of St. Louis is quite pleasant, but it is a small town surrounded by industrial zones.

Charming room and hotel. Loved the "welcome" biscuits when we checked in super late at night. Hotel also arranged a taxi for us to the airport for an early flight. Great place to start our trip -- only wish our flight was later so we could have tried the breakfast

Was a little hard to get to as we traveled to Basel on the train then had to navigate busses in the city (which some stops moved as they are under construction. luckily a local helped us).

We were stuck in Basel airport for the night and had to find a room nearby when we stumbled upon this lovely hotel. They were very accommodating and quickly set a cot up for my tired baby. The room was lovely and restaurant food looked excellent, just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

This hotel is a little gem. We were absolutely surprised to find such a high-end hotel in such a small town. We booked a business double room for a short sleepover ahead of an outbound flight from the Basel airport and we ended up regretting that we couldn't spend more time there. The building is old but has been renovated with respect and the ambiance in the common areas (i.e. mainly the restaurant area in the yard) is absolutely inviting. The room was spotlessly clean (rare for a hotel in France) and decorated with great taste. Unfortunately, we had no time for breakfast or for trying the spa facilities. A la prochaine ! A special thumbs-up for the reception personnel, they were very helpful even at 4.30 a.m.

The staff were wonderful. They were happy to help us with all our questions and needs. They suggested places to eat and arranged our transportation needs to meet our river boat. The room was spacious and well furnished.

The wheel chair access could have been better, but knowing the age of the buildings in Europe, it was what we expected.

impossible to reach the hotel by public transport from city Basel. Tickets were not sold on the only bus available in the French side and there were no selling machines on the street. The hotel stuff also has no clue of this and could not advise us properly: we called in advance and we were given an incorrect advice. We then asked the staff at the desk and they had no clue, nor they could offer us any help with this. As a result, we had to walk 20' carrying our luggage from the Swiss border to the hotel, and every time we wanted to commute to and from city Basel.

The hotel was very beautiful with many wonderful and interesting decorations that we absolutely loved. The rooms were comfortable, well designed and had a good coffee machine. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. The restaurant was very nice with wonderful service (truly made our stay very pleasant). There was even a spa (but we did not use). It also offered a free shuttle to the airport. WE LOVED IT HERE !

It was brilliant !! Honestly can't come up with anything we did not like.

It’s a lovely old historical building. The rooms are big, comfortable, individual and modern. Close to Basel and the German border.

Unfortunately the hotel is not in a very pretty area and the parking is expensive, €14 a day.
