Novotel Dijon Sud

The hotel was very nice, very clean and had very good facilities. The pool was very good and really helped occupy the kids when we had time to kill, as this was only a 1 night stay for us.

The overall hotel was very warm, the bar was uncomfortably hot. We looked at eating at in the on-site restaurant and wasn't overly impressive to be honest, it looked like a self service buffet but at a very high cost. We went off-site to eat and ate better for cheaper too.

All staff were very polite and welcoming. The service in the restaurant was impeccable. The outside area was well maintained and decorated to a modern high standard. We had a relaxing one night stay before our drive back home to the UK. We only wish we had booked the same hotel on our outbound trip as the Macon Novotel was awful!

We are a family of x4 & booked a family room for one night. Our children are 13 & 14 as stated on the booking. Two separate single beds and a smaller double for adults would have been more suitable.

does what it says on the tin - it’s a stopover with comfortable rooms; great beds and showers, easy access and secure parking hotel with a pool, some modern bits 👍

I didn’t like the food. buffet for dinner and breakfast - didn’t really like any of it, cheap food/ingredients and found dead flies in some food. I’m gluten free which isn’t really catered for at all in France too. Felt it was expensive too; 26/17.50 euros for dinner/breakfast and even our 4 yr old had to pay 13 Euros for dinner - she ate some bread and pasta.

The hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, about 4 kms from Dijon center. There's plenty of parking on site (free). The breakfast buffet is all right, nothing special. The room was nice and clean, the bed is comfortable. The restaurant has outdoor seating by the pool (quite nice). It's a short drive to the historic center of Dijon. There's a restaurant/bowling alley next door (named 'the Big Apple'), they serve pretty good burgers.

The kids liked the swimming pool. There was a seating area/bar/restaurant overlooking the pool area. The sofa bed in our family room turned into 2single beds rather than one small double, which worked far better for our kids.

The buffet dinner was ok but not fantastic. But the hotel was not near the centre of Dijon so not many other options.

It’s lovely place to stay with kids, we jumped in the small but wonderful pool after a day of traveling. The kids loved it, once we were in the room it looked all okay. The reception handed out gifts to the kids and there were many games to play! One tip: make a reservation for dinner in time, we were too late and it was fully booked.

The sofa seemed to have stains on it. However it didn’t bother us as we were pulling out the sofa to the bed for kids. The bed is really comfortable and consists of two seperate one persons mattresses, so the kids didn’t bother each other. We did have to place some pillows in between so they couldn’t fall into the gap.

Nice hotel with good facilities. Comfortable room. we liked the swimming pool. The breakfast was good as was dinner.

The staff were friendly enough but seemed lacklustre in their approach. In other words, staff seemed not to engage. Some staff seemed unmotivated. It begs the questions, do staff enjoy working for Novotel? Do Novotel treat their staff well?

Superb staff super nice and very helpful. I had an accident on the roundabout at the entrance and the staff were so kind . Please thank them for me. We arrived about 5pm. Excellent hotel we always stay here on our way to skiing every year.

The sofa bed had the springs coming through so had a poor night's sleep. I was in room 411 Mme Susie Sukes. I am sure this was an oversight it just needs to be replaced.

Although the hotel looked a little dated outside, it was lovely inside. The room was not massive but adequate for our stay. Dinner was very good and breakfast was a buffet style with an excellent choice. On-site parking too

I prefer a proper reception area than the informal table that hotels have these days but that is the only thing I didn’t like at this hotel

Nice breakfast and good restaurant for dinner. Nice to have a pool and small park for children, plus some games inside. Not bad to entertain kids if you have to stay inside. Quiet room, and the hotel atmosphere is good, feels welcoming.

The room is not small, but could be a tad bigger - can become a bit crammed when opening the sofa bed. Also the sofa bed isn't super, mattress is good but for whatever reason feels like your head is lower than the rest of the body.
