LA TOUR AUX CRABES près de la plage

We liked the location of the hotel - overlooking the harbour, close to restaurants, main attractions, the Saturday market (which was outstanding!) and not too far from the beach. We booked a room with a balcony and it was lovely having the outdoor space. However, in saying that, the hotel does have a large terrace that overlooks the harbour, and plenty of seating. The room was nice - clean and modern with a lovely big shower in the bathroom.

Whilst the room is lovely, the wardrobe is not great - needs more shelving and hanger space. Pillows weren't great either. We attempted to book the spa but no one spoke English so it didn't happen. We had a meal at the restaurant - it really wasn't great. A little side note - if you are arriving by ferry without a car - there only seems to be one taxi driver in the town which you cannot advance book! We arrived at 10pm at night and finally got to the hotel after midnight due to this! Obviously this has nothing to do with the hotel - in fact they tried to help us, but thought I would warn!

What's not to like. The room was great, much better than expected for the price. I ate at the restaurant which was very good, the terrace bar was lovely and very well situated. The breakfast was amazing - so much choice. Treated myself to a half-day spa experience, which was fabulous and really good value for money. The staff throughout my stay were friendly, professional and nothing was too much trouble.

Ummmm struggling think of a single thing I didn't like.

The location was perfect, overlooking the marina. It was very quiet. I liked the bar and outdoor terrace, looking out over the marina. The room decor was very light and minimalist. Just to my taste. The room size was fine for one person. The bathroom was very new and modern with a very nice shower.

It’s a shame there was no towel rail in the bathroom. There was also no blind or curtain covering the bathroom window which was clear glass. The temperature control function of the air conditioning unit did not work so it was stuck on 20° and the last night it malfunctioned and started making a loud noise which woke me up so had to switch off (please note I have raised all except the towel rail with the hotel directly. They gave me a free breakfast in recompense for the air conditioner malfunction which I thought was very fair). However, I did think the breakfast was a bit overpriced for what they offered.

This beautifully renovated hotel stands out with its unique architectural character in the heart of Dieppe. Our stay was very positive with great staff, a superb minimalist well designed room and balcony with views of the marina. We look forward to our next stay and wish all hotels were this desirable.

There isn’t any parking at the actual hotel site but an underground garage space a few streets away is offered for €15 per night. It was difficult to open the garage doors and we found it difficult to find the street due to the one way system. There is parking in the streets and along the seafront. The shower handle was super tight so needs adjustment.

We loved it all. I didn't know what to expect of Dieppe but it is beautiful. The landscape and the feel of the place was very traditional and warm feeling. The hotel was clean and modern. The children enjoyed a little swim and sauna. It added a bit of novelty to the stay. Wish we could have had 1 more night and a whole day to look around and relax. Views from window and terrace were lovely. Breakfast was filling and great variety.

Not having a stand up shower and no privacy in the bathroom area. We overcame it and wasn't a problem for 1 night but for a longer stay it might have been a pain.

We really enjoyed our break at this Spa hotel. It is a clean, attractive and comfortable Spa hotel. We used the spa facilities and really enjoyed them. Although the room was not huge it was very well laid out and with the balcony felt spacious enough. There was a lovely local product gift box, which we felt was a very nice touch. The bed was very comfortable and a great size. We had a separate toilet to the bathroom which was very helpful too. Decore was lovely. We will definately return when we need a short break.

No so much that we 'didn't like' but it would have been 'even better if' there was black tea and milk provided in the room. I'm sure we could have asked for it but sometimes you don't want to make a fuss when things are so nice :)

Very cool simple luxury. Calm and very pleasant- nice bar of terrace overlooking harbour. Room was small but chic and comfortable and excellent air con and very nice shower room. place was very clean too.

The only thing was a lot of the plants on the terrace were dead. The bamboos were shovelled up and there was - what looked like newly planted tree- totally dead. Also the large white garden lights were all knocked over and it just looked very uncared for. The garden is obviously meant to be a feature but it was sad looking and uncared for.

I paid for a deluxe double room 204 and my friends booked the same but their room next door was double the size for the same price. It made me believe I was not allocated a deluxe double despite paying for one. Also I was initially charged e404 locally instead of e358 rate booked, (booking.com conf no 3857281729 )this took a while to correct at the desk.

This is a fantastic hotel. The rooms are lovely, with comfortable beds, powerful showers and air conditioning. Each room has a small fridge and free bottled water. Superior rooms have a lovely view of the harbour and you're only five minutes' walk from the beach. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I can highly recommend the spa which is lovely and very good value for money, I had a really great treatment.

Superb breakfast but the meal I had at the Restaurant was awful- my lamb cutlets were inedible and when I complained she said she couldn’t do anything about compensation!! Never had such chewy stringy lamb - I left them all- would have thought there was something they could have done to apologise- what do you think

Restaurant comments above. Thought the parking was not easy through loads of one way streets. Very confined entrance too!!
