Campanile Clermont Ferrand Centre

As I regularly travel through France, my overnight stays have been in quite different hotels. The Campanile hotel in Clermont Ferrand will remain one of the favorites, especially when travelling on a Sunday, when restaurants in rural areas close for the evening. The rooms are efficient, but comfortable with modern bathrooms and perfectly clean. Optionally, a reasonable self service breakfast can be ordered. Reception staff are friendly. The common areas include an outside terrace (don’t have high expectations of the view), a TV lounge area and a bar. The hotel has a large, secure underground car park, which is great when travelling with a fully loaded car. From the autoroute to the hotel takes appr 10 minutes Last but not least, the tram, with a stop in front of the hotel, takes less than 15 minutes to the city center with many restaurants open on a Sunday night.

The room was clean, modern, comfortable to use. It has a proper desk, tea and coffee maker (important!), well working wifi with which one can connect a few devices at the same time(such as PC and ipad). Check-in time was indicated as 14h but if rooms are available, they have a flexibilty to provide room around 12h30 for example, and that is the very important point for a business traveler like me. I sometimes use the apparthotel just in front (which is also nice) but one of the reason that I chose this hotel over others is the fact that this hotel has 24h front desk 7days a week and keep my luggage when I have to go to meeting after check-out (the apparthotel has limited reception hour on Sunday). The staffs are always friendly and helpful. So far the hotel in Clermont Ferrand has a very high standard and people are kind.

I couldn't think of anything bad. Maybe for someone who wish to be in city center, the fact that you have to take a tram to go there but the tram station is in front of hotel and it takes only 10min or so (on Sunday the tram A is not too frequent) To come here from the station , take bus B to Stade Michelin. During the Covid pandemic this hotel was closed in weekend, but now back in normal.

Good Clean Room Shower Facility and Sleeping Area Clean ,Spacious 2 Bed Room ,Tea/Cofee Facility. Good Friendly Greeting by Young Lady on Saturday Good Communication and Large Bar Area ,Liked Decor and Campanile Lobby and Lift Service. Overall. I would Stay Again and In a Lovely Friendly City.

In Frige Breakfast was Fairly Good ,Could be improved Better Layout of Meats ,Cooked Food Could be More Diverse. Fruit Could be Better /Larger Selection not Only Pre Prepard in Fridge ,More Choice of Cereal.

Hotel, Staff, facility were all very good. Restaurant close by. Especially have to comment on the reception staff who were very helpful when we had trouble exiting the parking garage. Also helpful in suggesting where to eat. Would recommend staying again.

I chose this hotel due to the safe underground private parking and was more than happy to use it. You can't get safer, more convenient parking anywhere else. The rooms are quite modern and quite comfortable.

It was not clear to me that the parking was a paid extra. There was a big difference in terms of vibe between the night staff (great) and the morning staff (tense). Breakfast was average at best.

the website/information did not say that there was food available nor what time it was open/closed. we would of eaten there but information was limited

The staff were excellent. A friendly smile on arrival and advising well on all things required for a relaxed stay. Location is great (amazing for the Rugby at ASM) and its either a short tram ride to the centre which bus free on weekends currently or a 25 minute walk. Secure underground parking on site at 8 euro per night which is OK for a short stay

Bed could be a little softer and pillows bigger.

Excellent value, very warm friendly welcome from the receptionist. Weren't go to stay for breakfast but did as everything else about the hotel was good. We just wanted a bed for the night on a long journey but we were impressed. Have not syed at a Campanile before. Really appreciated the secure parking as had a car full of stuff.

Our night stay at the hotel was very pleasant. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. There were plenty of local events leaflets available. We had dinner at the famous The Oval Rugby Club restaurant, which is literally the other side of the road.

Friendly and helpful check-in staff; comfy bed; sound-proofing and modern styling. Breakfast was fresh, if lacking in choice.

Location is a distance from the centre but the free public transport at weekends helped and there is a tram-stop almost in front of the hotel. Hotel restaurant is closed at weekends.
