ibis budget Bayonne

Stayed 4 days in all - Lovely low prices hotel with comfortable beds, air conditioning, TV, quite a nice bathroom. Didn’t have the chance to try the breakfast because I am a night owl so I couldn’t wake up early enough, but I could definetely sleep day and night without a problem. The ‘courtepaille’ restaurant next door was very nice and the staff were very helpful, kind and sympathetic in both places. Very satisfied in all :)

There was a very slight lack of hygiene in the bathroom in certain areas, but nothing too bad

Good value for money, comfy room, friendly staff, nice restaurant attached with good food and also friendly staff, Very good location, especially for just passing through and needing bed for the night, easy to find.

This was just down to our naivety but didn't realise there was no tea/coffee making facilities. There was a vending machine but we didn't have any euros. As we were not stopping for breakfast we had to stop a bit later for a much needed coffee. Website needs updating as it says there is a coffee shop and there isn't. Also says 15% of for hotel guests in the adjoining restaurant but they don't do that anymore,

Excellent location for access to the Autoroute but also for proximity for walking to the town. Tesla superchargers were 10mins walk (max) so it was easy to charge. Very conveniently has a restaurant attached.

We had room two on the ground floor. Reception said this was to enable easy access since we had our dog. The ground floor location was very welcome but room 2 backed on to reception and the stairs to the first floor - quite noisy. 10 euro /night for our dog seemed a bit steep.

Easy to find location, with ample free parking. Rooms are small, per typical Ibis, but adequate. Easy access to the bike trail and bridge into Bayonne and to Biarritz. The bed was comfortable. I chose a location out of town to avoid the all night partying that is typical with the annual fête d’été. It was quiet at night, until the smoke alarm went off at 01:40. That was indeed a rude awakening. The national police responded first, then the fire engines. After 20 minutes, we were allowed to go back to our rooms. I did not smell any smoke, so not sure what the issue was.

Breakfast was disappointing, limited offerings, though the automatic espresso machine made reasonable coffee.

This has to be one of the best budget hotels we have ever stayed in. The room looked like it had been recently decorated. The shower was spacious. This was a nice surprise. The front desk service was friendly and professional. We were even asked where in the hotel we'd prefer to stay. The Courtepaille restaurant can be reached directly from the hotel without leaving the building. Good menu, excellent food and service. The menu included vegetarian options which are not always available in France. Well located near the main road in Bayonne. Fortunately we couldn't hear any traffic noise. Being set back from the road obviously helps. A good experience, we will definitely return in the future.

No kettle or drinks provided in the room. We only ever experience this in France. Very annoying after a long journey.

The hotel is close to motorway and is ideal for an overnight stop. Nice Room comfy bed and quiet: free parking. Having an adjoining restaurant is convenient. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant when we stayed here Dec 2022.

Sadly the meal wasn’t good this time round, my steak was burnt on the outside I’d asked for a medium -,and the French fries weren’t very nice either- overcooked and not that hot - whether it was because it was nearly closing time, I don’t know.

Everything that you can expect for the price! - very comfortable bed - shelf space and even a folding desk - spacious shower - window openable for fresh air - super nice staff

- there could have been a bath mat; you're bound to get the floor wet because of the open plan shower, and I ended up using the second towel - wifi password is a bit "hidden" on the wall by the reception desk

Good for easy parking and we were happy to walk into town, but the walk along the main road was hazardous to say the least, especially crossing back to the hotel. The staff were all super friendly and the attached restaurant exceeded our expectations, great service and excellent good value food. Breakfast was excellent and generous.

I’m sure lots of people like to walk into town from there but it would be good to warn them of the best way - there and back to save rushing across a main road. I’m sure we should have taken a different route - but when you’re new to town……

Reception staff very welcoming, nice clean room with comfort as expected for an Ibis. Great room for 1 night stay over with Dog. Breakfast was good. No WiFi but due to storm earlier so totally understandable. Great hotel for 1 night stay on the way to somewhere else, also great access and proximity to visit Bayonne.

A good clean hotel with ample parking and friendly staff. The hotel is right next to a Courtepaille Grill,which is now owned by Buffalo Grill. The food was not quite as good as that of the Buffalo Grill.

There was not coffee making facilities in the room. The room was a little chilly during the night and I couldn't get the heater to work.
