The first room I got had a small window that cannot be opened. I am claustrophobic . So I changed room. The new room on the 5th floor was great with a view of the roofs of the city. I really loved that. Actually it was a family room, with 2 beds. Bathroom was nice as well. Wish I had been able to stay longer. The staff is fantastic. The place is close to everything. It has a restaurant downstairs. There is a supermarket nearby, Carrefour, and other grocery stores, clothing stores, a laundromat. The train and bus station is across the street. (As far as a laundromat, use the one on Place des Basques. It's only 5 euros.)

The features of the building were beautiful. The location was perfect if arrive by train or by coach. The hotel is just across from the old town which was excellent. The Fete de Bayonne was just starting and this hotel would have been prime location for it, unfortunately we were the leaving on the day it started. Excellent A/C in the room which was very modern.

Unfortunately for us we arrive quite early and the late check in time was frustrating however we did leave our bags to explore.

The room was very stylish and clean, with plenty of space and a very comfortable bed. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. The breakfast was amazing!

The only slight negative was that the curtains could have been thicker and/or lined in order to exclude more light from the street outside (our room faced the road junction by the station) However, it was quiet enough, and wouldn't stop us staying here again!

The room was clean and perfectly nice. The location is great - right by the train station, easy to walk to the center of Bayonne, and easy to take the bus to Biarritz. The staff stored my bags after check-out, and they were nice enough to store them for a few hours again when I passed through town a couple weeks later.

The room was very small and more bare than the pictures. It would be nice to have a little fridge and some glasses.

Excellent lokation just opposite main train station. City center can be reached by a 10 min walk or by one of the frequent buses stopping just outside the hotel. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was newly renovated and comfortable.

Bathrooms were newly renovated but perhaps not with top quality ware, e.g. most water from the shower handle sprayed out from the wrong end in both our rooms. Some rooms are rather small and som do not have windows that can be opened (on the other hand the AC was highly efficient).

Every thing was perfect! The beautiful antique building and the amazing antique elevator. Big windows. Beautiful view to the city. Friendly and helpful staff. Great situation in front of the train station. Within walking distance to coffee shops and restaurants. They also offer a breakfast for extra charge. Very good value for money. Highly recommended for a stay in Bayonne!

Perfect location if you're travelling on public transport. Railway station almost next door, bus stop right outside, and long distance bus stop a 10 minute walk. Town centre a pleasant 7 minute walk across the river.

The attractive old facade of the hotel seemed to be floodlit, and the curtains were thin. The room was much too light at night. Fortunately I had an aeroplane mask.

It is good value for money and has an excellent location opposite the train station, a 5/10 minute walk over the bridge into the town centre or bus stop across the street from the Hotel Bus T1 takes you to town. Bus no.4. One street down (200 yards away) takes you to Biarritz Airport. The hotel staff are efficient and friendly. Bars, restaurants and coffee shops all around the Hotel.

There is little not to like about the Hotel Cote Basque, it is located at the foot of the main bridge into old Bayonne and next to the Gare so an excellent location The staff could not have been more helpful, they accommodated storing my bicycle and gave me advice on where to eat The room was perfectly comfortable and roomy I’d recommend for any short stay at Bayonne

Great location, Great Value! Literally right across the street from the Bayonne Train Station. Pleasant gal at the front desk, comfortable bed. If you need a hair dryer, just ask, as they have a supply behind the front desk. Easy walking distance (right across the river) to central Bayonne. Very reasonable. We recommend, and will stay again!
