Moxy Lyon Airport

Spotlessly clean, excellent bathrooms, shower pressure, beds and air-con. Cool, modern design. Check in was smooth and seamless. It is a bit no frills in the sense that you literally just get your room and some towels and soap/shampoo in a dispenser- no hygene kits, dressing gowns or bottled water in the room. But I don't care much about those things personally. I thought it was good for the price. We got connecting rooms for ourselves and our two children and we were very pleased. The signposts in the airport in Lyon are extremely poor so it was not easy to find the hotel but we manage with google maps. We stayed at Moxy so we could pick up our hire care in the airport the next day. Again - very poorly signposted. The car hire place is around a 20 min walk from the hotel or a free shuttle but we were not aware that the shuttle was available. Its also not that easy to get from the airport area into town - it was a 45 min uber ride or Rhone Express which apparently is not cheap.

Probably some better guidance from the staff as to how to find the car-hire area. They did show me on a map but did not mention the free shuttle.

The room was a good size and comfortable. Great shower. The WiFi worked well. Check in was smooth. Good location at the airport. Free drink on arrival was a nice touch. The staff were friendly.

Breakfast was very average. Cereal tins were empty and not replenished to the disappointment of some children. No choice of bread just baguettes. Dried up looking scrambled eggs and sausages. No yoghurt at all. It could have been so much better and certainly on this occasion was not up to standard. Staff did not appear to be replenishing items or clearing used trays and tables. Limited evening menu in the restaurant. I had an upset tummy after eating a chicken burger which looked very processed. No tea and coffee in the rooms. Our room had a view of a run down multi storey car park.

The convenience of staying at the airport as we had an early flight the next morning, and that worked out well. We had a runway view room which was fabulous to watch all the planes. The hotel is ultra modern and a bit quirky, we weren't expecting that so it was great. Also having a bar and restaurant on site and open on a Sunday night was very convenient. Also the staff speak English, although we don't need them too it could be useful for other Brits or Americans.

The restaurant had run out of the best options on the menu. There was communal tea and coffee making facilities but no milk. Personally I didn't like the automatic lights coming on under the bed and in the bathroom at night if you get up. I prefer to keep it as dark as possible.

Modern designed,new furnished,very clean hotel located in the heart of the airport.Staff is very welcoming,friendly and helpfull.Hotel is also very quiet,rooms are sound isolated and the bed and pillows are comfortable.It was easy to find the hotel following the signs in the airport.

The only thing i didn't like was; our room was prepaid for one night stay,when we were checking in they wanted our credit card for guarantee,it was meaningless because there wasn't any minibar in the room.They told me it was needed in case you eat or buy something from the hotel,but i answered we can pay for it.

Convenient location for early morning flight.

Location and lift entrance poorly signposted from bus stops and within Terminal 1 building. It is all so empty that you think you are not in the right place. In the lift there was no sign on the buttons to say Registration. Several people in the lift were very confused as well as me. Lights kept coming on as I moved around the hotel room. Not necessary and waste of valuable energy resources. For a lone woman (me) it was an eerie, scarey walk through emptyTerminal 1 to Terminal 2 early in morning. Lack of signposting. Several odd people sitting around who looked as though they had spent the night there illegally. No obvious security personnel.

What a wonderful start to our holiday. We arrived late at night, so this was the perfect one night stay avoiding the hassle to travel in the evening in an unfamiliar area .The hotel is very modern, loved all the little details especially the sweet msg written on the mirror. Although the hotel is located close by to the airport runway, the rooms are soundproofed therefore we didn't have any noise issues. We were delighted with our stay at Moxy hotel. ☺️ This hotel is definitely an eye catcher when it comes to interior design from the entrance to the lobby and the hotel rooms.

Convenient, well located and clean. Room was clean and confortable. Lobby and corridor as well as the elevator have loud music all the time. After some time and if you are not there for rock and roll all nite and party everyday, it gets stressful. Price is OK - Not a deal and not very pricey.

Very convenient being in Lyon airport. The facilities were excellent. My husband and I particularly like the ping-pong table and games. We got a free drink on arrival, there were free teas and coffees in the foyer for you to help yourself with movies playing. We had a look round the gym which was well equipped. The room was very clean, with excellent shampoo and conditioner, comfy bed and we even got upgraded to a room over the runway. Luckily the windows were sound proof. Overall an excellent stay and I will use again.

Arriving at Lyon Airport Terminal 1 around midnight we just had to walk a few minutes within the Terminal to reach the Hotel. A welcoming smile at Reception and very comfortable beds waiting for us. No need to take a navette or any type of transport. The breakfast buffet was excellent and the two coffee machines worked perfectly (no spills, not stains, no technical problems) which is not often the case! The Hotel is perfect for late flight arrivals or very early departures.

Just one little thing: the tissue box in the bathroom was empy

The breakfast was very good; lots of varieties; loved the freshly squeezed orange juice. Rooms are quite small but enough for night or two. Room was super clean and comfortable; really good value for money

I would love it if there was a coffey maker in the room so I could make myself coffey, because I had an early departure. If I saw correctly there is a coffey machine and a kettle near the reception but it was to far and too early to go there and make myself a morning coffey.
