Service from the housekeeping team - service at the Restaurants and service at the facility overall pool and beach

Nothing at all - everything was very good just the complimentary stuff was not enough I had to pay for everything even the coffee after dinner and the water during meals

It was not my first time at The Cascades. Basically I only use the hotel to sleep. I work during the day from my room and in my free time I meet friends and former colleagues. I know the Chef since years and he is adorable. Had once dinner: was okay, had once breakfast: was okay

Only small thing I would like to mention: as I am travelling alone and I am a woman, the service staff in the evening did ignore me at the beginning. Once the ice was broken, all was very good. But I was nearly through my dinner when they started to ask me if I need something (and no, it was not very busy)

Soma is a beautiful place with crystal clear waters, Cascades is my favorite hotel in Soma bay. It is not on the beach directly but it has an amazing golf courses and ocean view. It is on the reef part of the ocean but they have their own beach on the bay side and there is a shuttle bus that moves every 10 mins from and to the beach. The water in the beach is exceptional, you also have access to the beach promenade and there is seashell restaurant on the beach and they have good food for midday snacks. Also you can go there with your car and there are parking spots. Walking is an option if you wanna check the small city but only in winter as in summer its super hot to walk around. Staff is amazing and very helpful starting from reception to every chef on the dinner buffet. Food quality and variations are very good and will keep you satisfied across all day meals. You can also book an executive room and you will have midday snacks access which will compensate for a lunch meal, they serve hot and cold finger foods midday as well as beverages all day.

As a family, our stay was great.. The check-in took less than 5 minutes by the professional front desk receptionist Ahmed Abdelnoneim, who explained everything and completed our paperwork in no time. we were then escorted to our rooms which were very clean, spacious, and had a wonderful view over the pool, golf and sea. the staff were very friendly, helpful and always smiling .. need to thank the always smiling Mohamed Faisal for making our stay very comfortable. the restaurant had a decent variety of cuisines that matched several tastes. the food was very fresh, delicious and of high quality. the service at the restaurant was also very good. There was a shuttle bus every 10 minutes that took us to the beach, which was 5 minutes away. The beach was beyond beautiful and clean with a nice restaurant and service as well. the hotel also had a nice big swimming pool and gym. the Spa was very special and provided several services.. the overall stay was very enjoyable and we definitely plan to visit again !

Although the hotel had elevators, we faced little problems carrying our baby’s stroller for a couple of steps at the restaurant and pool. However, the staff never hesitated to help us with this matter..

The beach and pool are amazing and well kept. The food is the best thing in the hotel. The breakfast is perfect with lots of variety and good quality. The rooms are average.

So i booked on booking a standard room, its not the first time for me to visit the hotel. Its around the 4th or the 5th. This time they gave me aroom in the new extension - the lodge- which is quite far from the reception, pool and restaurant. The hotel was not busy. I talked to the receptionist, he claims no standard rooms in the phase 1 building which is not true, because every time i book standard room and i get a room in phase one. What is the point of giving your guests the most far away room in the hotel if you still have closer rooms !! What is the point of doing that! And we had an old age and a child ! Really its so frustrating!

Great assortment of food. Breakfast had fresh omelettes / crepes / eggs. Dinner was a nice assortment of meats, including freshly grilled red sea fish. Very welcoming staff Regular shuttle bus to the beach where there was great wifi and access to water sports Free daily bottles of water and some soft drinks given for free too Nice gym and pool and sea view from room Decent sized TV in the room with Hollywood channels (MBC2) It was my birthday and we were kindly given a cake :)

Unfortunately we were told that the steam room and spa (the largest in the middle east) were being renovated, although we heard from another couple that their hotel said the same thing, so I suspect they had closed them as it was off-peak winter season. There was also an odd sulfur smell that emanated from the bathroom every day after it was cleaned. You must pay for the water at dinner time - we were not told this in advance.

It’s calm, quiet and well maintained. This is the third time I stayed their and definitely would love to go their again. Food is great although there were some items existed before but not now but still great menu and delicious and better than many hotels we stayed in before.

When we reached the room we found the toilet dirty so we called the reception which responded quickly. It’s not a beach front but their is a shuttle comes every 10 minutes and takes less than 5 minutes to reach the beach so I wasn’t bothered.

The hotel is amazing, the view of the golf court and the sea are breathtaking. the staff and the receptionists are friendly. The room and the bathroom are spacious and super clean. also the walls are well insulated that even if you do not like using the air conditioner, the room temperature would be nice. The room service was excellent and when we first arrived to the room, we had a nice plate of oriental dessert as a compliment. The breakfast was exceptional, full of varieties and tasty as well .. totally loved it, I will definitely come again and would recommend it as well.

For my experience, I only had two remarks but these issues didn’t ruin my lovely experience at all.. I will state them in case it matters for others, 1. The beach is not directly connected to the hotel, however the hotel provides a shuttle to/from the beach every 15mins and you can also use your car as there is an available parking spaces. 2. The bathroom of the room I had (the classical room) didn’t have a toilet shower “shatafa” embedded within the toilet or even hand-held near the toilet, however there is a bidet to use..

We enjoyed a wonderful week at The Cascades. We have visited this hotel several times since 2010 and in general it continues to meet our expectations. The staff are wonderful and cannot do enough for you. This aspect is always a highlight for us. Breakfast and dinner are very good, though we did notice a slight deterioration in the variety of food offered at the dinner buffet. If you are seeking a peaceful rest by the poolside The Cascades has an excellent and quiet pool. The adjacent Spikes bar is very good with a stunning view across the golf course to the Red Sea. The beach and beach restaurant are fine, but a short bus ride from the hotel. The bus runs continuously during daylight hours so the transfer is painless. As a football fan another great addition is the live coverage of UK football, including Premier League and Championship in a room next to the welcoming and ambient Eagles Nest Bar on the top floor. We were also very grateful to be given a room in the area of the hotel we requested. There is some background construction noise currently in Soma Bay and our room allocation minimised this disturbance.

One of the best features for us is the main restaurant with its stunning views across the golf course and Soma Bay, particularly in the morning at breakfast time. However the terrace was completely covered in dirty plastic sheeting, obscuring the view for all except the last morning and this completely spoiled our breakfast experience. The internet was also quite poor with frequent drop outs. The TV signal pixelated on most days with loss of picture the result.
