Sunrise Crystal Bay Resort -Grand Select

We had an amazing stay in this hotel and I really recommend it. Landscape and atmosphere The hotel has a lot of open spaces with a lot of greenery. Even if the hotel is full it does not feel crowded. Although this hotel is not “adults only” it felt always quiet specially on the beach, which is good. Moreover at the pools and the beach there is an area where it is for adults only. The hotel has several pools and a jacuzzi. The atmosphere is always nice with some music playing at some pools. Rooms: Rooms are spacious and have all what you need. The balcony is also so nice. Animation The animation team is very nice and encouraging, everyday there are events. Best event was a beach foam party. Beach and sea water The beach is very nice, you could think it is bit small but we always found places to sit. The beach of the hotel is on a bay that ends with the open sea. The bay water was not always clear but this did not bother me. The beach is sandy. Under the water the sand has a bit of tiny stones which feels a bit uncomfortable to the feet at the beginning but i got used to them. Nevertheless i enjoyed so much sitting at the beach and swimming. Staff All staff are amazing, always smiling, friendly and always ready to serve. Food The food is really tasty and very rich in varieties. There are many restaurants in this hotel, i loved the greek restaurant (where the snacks are served). So many snacks choices and the restaurant design is amazing. In the main restaurant (where the open buffet is), you will always find the food varieties that suit you. Accessibility One down side is that there is only one elevator at the reception, which means that if you have trouble going upstairs to your room, you have to go all the way to the reception and take the elevator to the upper floor and then walk to your room. Another option, is telling the reception at the time of check-in that you want a ground floor room and they will fulfill the request (we tried that).

The staff were great. Special shout out to Mustfa, Amjad and Ahmed from the main buffet. The Resort was clean and plenty of eating options. All the restaurants were easy to book and the food was delicious in all the restaurants and the buffet. Good wide choice at breakfast and freshly squeeze fruit juice all added to an enjoyable stay.

We had booked the jacuzzi suite and the jacuzzi pump 3 never worked and the temperature was too cold. We did ring reception who did come the next day to have a look and it was warmer but still not quite warm enough. Which was a shame as felt we never used it as much as planned.

Facilities, varied and delicious food, location, cleanliness and cleaning in the rooms, warm pools, sandy beach.

Not all, but some staff begins to openly harass if you talk to them in a friendly way and maintain a conversation for longer than 10 seconds - 3 people brazenly started demanding my number in Whatsapp just because I politely talked to them (1 waiter in the main restaurant, 1 lifeguard by the pool, and 1 beauty salon employee). It's very intrusive and unpleasant. And they are not even stopped by the presence of a child. The same feedbacks were given to my friends, who also rested there at the same time.

Fantastic personel, way above what we expected. Mohamed Ayed in reception had the ''we fix it'' atitud, nothing was impossible and all with a smile. Pool personel, towel guys, bartenders all around allways with a smile and a joke. Special mention for the Verstapen gang of the golf cart drivers, allways smiling and allways ready to carry guests at any time of night and day. The animation gang high fives, from 10 in the morning untill late at night, a few dance steps, some jokes made us feel sooo good!The soroundings,gardens/trees were like an exhibition with artistical personel who kept everything like they were preparing for a photo shoot. Room allways clean, the fridge was kept with plenty of water/drinks. Special high marks for restaurant events for New Year. We traveled around the world, been in restaurant business for 40+ years never seen such an exceptional display both quality wise and endless number of choices. Top restaurants Best Nr 1 Mediteranean close second 2 the main restaurant. Best pastry, they can win prizes even in France. Keep up the good work people!! We will return!!!!

It is a chalenge for the other restaurants, Falucca,Indian to raise their game to the level required.

The reserved cabana by the beach and our room was excellent. The concierge service was amazing - Mohamed looked after us so well! Our girls liked the aqua park next door which we could use for no charge. The Posh Club was lovely and they looked after us so well on our wedding anniversary! Although the hotel was fully booked it didn't seem like it - the pool was sometimes empty when we swam in it. We also enjoyed the White Party and the other entertainment such as the aqua fit and the aqua trampoline. All in all a great stay!

The WiFi was sometimes patchy.

We had a pleasant stay, the facility is very clean and every thing is in order, pools, restaurants and the beach is wonderful, also the staff is very helpful, we will definitely come back soon for another vacation.

The food variety at the main restaurant, the quality is great, but we nearly had the same dinner everyday during our stay, we even memorized the places of some items that doesn’t change. Desserts had a wide variety but the taste and quality was very very low, we barely had any desserts during our stay expect for fruits at dinner and bakeries at breakfast. Areas of improvement: All the Staff is super helpful, but they need to be more friendly & smile a little bit more, also some of the issues we reported to the reception took very very long time to be resolved that we even had to call back to remind them of it to sort it out, and those we didn’t call back again about them was not resolved nor we received any feedback about them.

Nice and big resort, adult beach area is good for some quietness. Lots of places to eat, nice pools. Staff is friendly. Beds comfortable Lagoon is nice for swimming Possible to use the other resorts around as well

Fresh juices are only available at breakfast and not individually made. Unfortunately all restaurants were full when we wanted to book them. Noone said to do it as early as possible. Also the food, especially the salads could be labeled better if vegetarian or not. There is no possibility to refill your own water bottle and reduce plastic. Also only small bottles are available, for a nice and expensive resort like this unacceptable. No long beach to have a walk, only lagoon. Not well organized, we asked for a birthday cake ahead twice and it never came. Towels were exchanged although they were not put on the floor. Definitely improvements needed regarding sustainability.
