Dusit Thani LakeView Cairo

Hotel in general is very good, as one of the high level 5 stars hotels in Cairo, however some small things mentioned below which i didn't like and need improvement from the hotel management.

1- Hotel rooms started to become old and need maintenance works, since several lighting & electrical sockets were not working. 2- Hotel policy to reserve down payment in order to allow you to purchase any extras during your stay without cash payment, which give you a message that "WE DON'T TRUST YOU". 3- Staff at reception are not well aware about BOOKING.COM reservation conditions and you have to use your mobile phone to call their colleagues in the hotel reservation department in order to let them talk to each others.

Very friendly and very supportive Staff. Mahmoud at Concierge, Mohammad at Front Desk, Ali and both Mohammeds at Club Lounge (basically ALL Staff) always went the extra mile to support me. I have to mention, that I have a walking disability and couldn’t find that support I received in this property anywhere else.

For Pool access, people with walking disability, is very difficult without help. There will always be at least one step stairway to be used, even with pool access rooms. I hope they will consider ramps for wheelchair users.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dusit Thani. It is in a good location (near New Cairo) and easy to get around. The room was lovely and had good amenities. The bathroom could have been cleaner for a 5* hotel. Also it would be nice if the corridors were brighter and more welcoming as they were very dark. The cheesy toast with fried egg which we ordered from the restaurant one morning for our breakfast was delicious! The housekeeping staff were very friendly. We were overall very happy with our experience and would love to return in the future.

Cleanliness of the bathroom should be to a higher standard for a 5* hotel.

The people there were just amazing. Great hospitality and the concierge went above and beyond to assist our family with any request. Special thanks to Mr. Ashraf and the great duo Moustaphas for their patience with us and for their assistance. Overall the Hotel was a great stay with really worth visiting restaurants.

The internet. General advice for any tourist is to seek a simcard with prepaid internet as wifi and accessibility to the net is lacking. Again our problems were solved by the concierge.

Excellent service, very helpful and friendly staff at the reception room service and breakfast service. Very spacious, clean rooms and all with balconies. Good amenities and a lovely choice of restaurants to make you your stay very pleasant. Location is also very convenient out of the city crowds, very close to convention center, Cairo festival city, airport and at walking distance from variety of interesting stores to visit as well as local choice of restaurants.

We got the patio rooms that were simply amazing. A quiet gettaway with amazing pool facilities. The reception (compliments to Kholoud) were very accomodating. Breakfast was amazing (shout out to Chef Ahmed on the egg station) and food venues were perfect (Tao, lobby bar and Bake Bar were super yummy). The family loved it. Will definitely be returning.

The room service menu for the patio rooms were not as comprehensive as the room service menu in the main hotel. That should be standardized.

everything was amazing. the staff the view the rooms are big and very comfortable. everything i request they bring fast and big quantity. price is also good. location is great. security very high. all facilities are Great. i will always come to this hotel and never change. one more amazing thing u will have a heavy and nice blanket during winter time. thanks Dusit hotel for being nice

sometimes room dining food is cold. and morning time some people are chatting near the door -housekeeping or any other staff not sure- but not guests

The hotel was beautiful. The view from my balcony had stunning gardens and overlooked the pool and bar area. Rooms are very big a spacious. The mini bar was refilled everyday, lots of water was given which was great with the hot weather in Egypt. It was much needed. The breakfast each morning had a great variety and delicious fresh juice's. The hotel allowed for late check out which was great for those catching a late flight out.

Smoking was allowed in most indoor areas, which is not ideal for a non smoker. The shuttle service from the hotel, forgot to collect me on the day of my arrival so just make sure you double confirm with them if you using the hotel shuttle service.
