Holiday Inn Express & Suites St. John's Airport, an IHG Hotel

Breakfast was okay. Could be more choices. When I went to get my food, the food container was empty and I had to find someone to fill it. Also ran out of yogurt choice. Definitely not enough seating. My husband is unable to stand for long, and I think that people could see that and one very kind couple offered us their table. I thought they were finished and leaving, but I noticed later they were sat elsewhere. I do think they waited for another table to free up. How very kind. These are things the hotel need to think about and fix it. The hotel was full, and there were no tables for many to sit and they had to wait standing.

Not enough tables and chairs for people to eat. Not enough breakfast choices. No one to assist, especially with people who have special needs. I didn't like the fact that when I went to get the ice bucket, it wasn't there, and I was told I had to go to the front desk to get one.

We liked everything about our stay. After returning a rental car at the airport, they sent a taxi as a shuttle to pick us up. Our room was ready early and was very nice and comfortable. When it was time to go out in the evening the front desk arranged a taxi for us. They also arranged an early morning shuttle back to the airport. There was always coffee/tea available in the lobby and some bagels/muffins etc. were out very early so we could have a snack before heading off.

Shuttle bus pick-up was quick. Hotel is conveniently close to the airport. Nice room, very comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was quite good - there was a nice selection of bread, bagels and muffins as well as cereals. There was a good choice of fresh fruits and yoghurts. As only there for one night, did not have the opportunity to use the facilities (i.e. gym, etc.).

I had tried the omelette and the hash browns; however, could not eat much of it as they were a bit rubbery & dried up. However, I had no issues finding something to eat as they had a varied choice of other foods (as I noted above in the 'What did you like' question).

not far from airport, nice size room and very comfortable bed. the pick-up worked within minutes from the airport. free breakfast was nice to have but all the plastic cutlery isn’t anymore wanted. love the coffee machine in the room. the room itself is a 8.

we expected the service to the airport to be the same ( what is said 3 min) but no driver there today and it took about 20-25 for a cab: calculate this in for your departure. the restroom door in room 405 definitely needs a repair.

The room was very comfortable, clean and supplied the nessecary items. Proximity to the Airport was Ideal, surprisingly we never heard planes, anding or taking off. Breakfast was enjoyable, Front staff and kitchen staff were friendly and attentive.

Thinking about our stay, I must say I have no negative comments to be said. Price was a little more than we had hoped to spend, but I can't complain about it.

We booked because we had a very early flight. it’s convenient and close to the airport and a shuttle service. Also a restaurant The Rock was next door for a late night meal. I like that there was a small snack store open early and late, coffee and hot water available at any time. We had to leave before breakfast service, but that wasn’t a problem-there service starts at 0600 which probably suits most guests. It would be too far from downtown to stay, but for early flight out, or a late flight in-perfect location!

rooms were large, There was almost no noise from hallway and the during my stay there was a bunch of kids in the hotel. beds comfortable, bathrooms were clean, great water pressure, and the water from the tap was awesome. Not something normally mentioned

cable TV was suspect as it did not have all the sports channels. Breakfast was basic, not over appealing went out to restaurant. The carpets in room need a deep cleaning.

Excellent breakfast, staff very good, coffee excellent, nice sunny view from the big window while I ate. Good coffee in the room. The television was not complicated to turn on and there was a channel guide in the room.

I don't travel that much so I don't have much experience to compare my stay at your hotel too. I found the other guests of the hotel a little cold but you have no control over that. I am obese so it may be because of my body that put people off. I am Catholic. I wanted to find out the Mass times for Sunday at the Basilica. I used the complimentary computer to find out the Mass times, which I did. I noticed that the computer would not let me go into the website for the Basilica like there was a filter in the computer that prevented me from doing so.

Since we had an early morning flight we thought we'd miss breakfast. However, they make a continental breakfast available at 3 a.m. for early travelers. Also, when our flight was cancelled we were able to stay an extra night and they did provide shuttle service to and from the airport.

No complaints

Very beautiful hotel, new and clean, rooms were big, bathroom and shower were big, bed was comfy, elevator felt safe, staff was super nice, so close to the airport and free airport shuttle with a driver who was also the nicest guy, grab and go breakfast was available even when I had to leave super early.

Nothing to dislike.
