Ocean Promenade Hotel

The room was beautiful n comfortable, the view was pretty good. I liked that the hotel had onsite parking, and liked even more, since I had requested a handicap accessible room, that the hotel gave reserved parking for our stay with our name on the spot.

Not that the hotel can remedy the building's structure, but we had to make several maneuver's getting in & out of the garage. .We have a full sized SUV. Not a major problem, unless someone happened to be coming from other direction.

I liked that the people who posted such damaging reviews were wrong. ie ,No sign of bedbugs. Friendly and courteous staff. I didn't hear double slamming doors either. The noise from outside may be worse closet to summer months, but it was pretty quiet at this time. Nice that washroom floors were are heated.

Nothing serious! The trains do pass in front, but we did not find them loud enough to disturb our sleep. Would like to see more specific room choices listed on the site. People need to know the options like balcony, large view window, small, or none.

Far away from the rest of the world lies a heavenesque nirvana. For now, we'll just call it........Canada. Haha. And within this nirvana, did we just locate serenity. Ocean Promenade Hotel, I/we have you to thank for this! So.......upon securing a Global Entry appointment for an up-and-coming birthday cruise in Blaine, WA, did we take notice that said appointment was scheduled for (...wait for it) the 4th of July! Desiring to make the most of our time off from work, I was driven to "independently" forage for an adequate place to pitch a tent for the night and upon ruling out the "competition", we somehow managed to find ourselves here. Ahhhh.... Life's little blessings. Resting just off I-5, a literal exit after (or before, depending your travels) the Washington state - US/Canada border lies the semi-hidden within plain sight town of White Rock, British Columbia ----- and darned if we weren't ready to call it Plymouth! The town itself, roughly the size of.....I dunno ....Rhode Island - has just the right amount of everything and host the longest pier within the entire country of Canada! This particular review is hardly being composed for the town, though. On to the hotel.... Perched just shy of "the main strip" --- allow this composition to serve as my Will and Last Testament; this place is the truth, the whole truth, and NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH! Perched directly above the water, we were literally enabled opportunity enough to chillax' upon the balcony of our 3rd floor suite and watch the tide roll in each evening only to sip coffee from the included espresso machine and watch it cascade back out each morning, further enabling locals to jog and walk their dogs within the sand just below! Inclusive to a fitness center and subterranean parking (for a $30-35.

To be transparent, I actually have to question the cost of parking. It's about like Starbucks attempting to bill for WiFi. I'm from Los Angeles, where there's a cost associated with any and EVERYTHING, yet, given the quaintness of this hotel and the charming but paltry size of the town itself, billable parking within a non-enclosed parking lot seems quite a bit diminutive.

Friendly service that went above and beyond to meet our needs on this visit. Exceptional customer service. Gorgeous views from the deck and wonderful apartment suite! We didn't want to check-out when the time approached. Extremely detailed cleanliness. The elevators smelled scrubbed clean every morning. The pillows were quadruple wrapped in soft, crispy clean pillow cases... not a speck of dirt or grime anywhere to be found. I could go on and on. This place constantly goes above and beyond to please their guests. Thank you so much!

The location is great. The beach access and proximity to the shops made it a nice location.

I was disappointed that they did not have underground parking for me the first day, like they said they would. I was told to park on the street for the evening/night which cost me double what the hotel charges for their parking. Also, the staff were very nice but they did not seem to know much about events in the neighborhood. There was a free concert on the beach that we stumbled onto (White Rock concert series) but the staff did not seem to know anything about it.

Odd room floor plans where two rooms are separated in a small vestibule behind one access (from hallway) door. That would be okay except Room A has a balcony while Room B has no balcony. and unfortunately Room A's balcony is situated in front of the windows of Room B. If someone in Room A uses the balcony they are sitting or standing right in front of Room B's windows, so Room B has absolutely no privacy. These rooms are on the side of the building but there is beach views so it very likely the A room occupants will be on the balcony in good weather at some point, so in Room B you have to keep the blinds closed or be mindful that you haven't got privacy.

I chose Ocean Promenade Hotel to attend a wedding in White Rock mainly because it was the only hotel in the area, but I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was. Our room was very spacious, with a full-sized kitchen and dining room. The king-sized bed and duvet were luxuriously comfortable, and we had a large balcony with a view of the ocean. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Highly recommend!

My only minor criticism is that the showerheads in the bathroom could use an upgrade.

Location, location, location! Directly across from the beach. Many restaurants and shops on the waterfront strip. Ahna was great! Always going the extra step to make sure our stay is enjoyable. This has been our place to stay whenever we're in the area. Close to Vancouver but, far away from the hustle. Thanks Ocean Promenade for another very relaxing and enjoying stay! We'll definitely be back.

Trains can be a little loud at times. And, screens on the doors would be a nice addition to keep out the flies.

The rooms were huge and well maintained. The staff were very helpful. The balcony looked onto the ocean which was lovely. We had a kitchen that had everything you needed if you wanted to cook for yourself. There was a TV in every room.

The parking area is very squeezy and you need to be a good driver to get in and out of the parking stalls. There are not alot of stalls but the staff said if there was a problem to let them know and they would work something out.

Our room was clean & well equipped we had all we needed for our over night stay. Staff were friendly at the front desk not so for the cleaning staff. They were able to check us in early which was nice as we wanted to dump our bags & explore the area. The parking underground was very clean & safe. We had a room that faced the courtyard so it was very quiet.

Our only complaint with the room was the wall safe that we were unable to operate. It should have instructions as to how to operate pasted on it.
