Ramada by Wyndham Coquitlam

The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The coffee provided was really good. Parking was available and the location was very handy. The white noise of the fan ensured quiet. The room had free wifi, TV and a clock radio as well as enough towels, etc. Good value for money.

The check in was a bit rough as the Ramada required a $150 damage fee deposit which was unexpected. We had a wait at check in as the charge card machine required a PIN which the guest did not know as this is unusual these days. The clerk was not helpful with options, advise or directions. Check-out was a breeze.

rooms were spacious and it’s close to all amenities. housekeepers we’re wonderful and always restocked our.room with the Kerug coffees . we loved them . very updated and renovated room we had so that was nice . front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable. beds weee clean and spacious . overall a great stay . oh also a Chinese restaurant on site that will do room service if required which is a bonus too .

Resturant on site should offer more Canadian dishes too .

The room was clean and comfortable -- the bed was very comfortable, as were the room furnishings. The location was perfect... close to SkyTrain and plenty of shopping nearby. No noise issues. The staff (especially the morning staff) were friendly and helpful.

Housekeeping staff did not clean the room at any time during my four-night stay -- had to go to lobby for extra coffee and fixings each morning. Had to ask the night clerk to double check that I had prepaid for the room when I checked in, to ensure he didn't charge my card again.

The staff were very helpful, especially Sukhman (I think I spelled it correctly). She was cheerful, helpful, pleasant, and very professional. She did the checkin and even ran to check the room was ready. Very helpful. The other staff were very helpful as well.

There was a slight smoke smell in the room. I noticed other guests smoking outside their rooms, it might have come in through the air conditioner

The room was clean (and smelled clean) leaving a very good first impression. I really do judge a room by how it smells when I open the door. Everything in the room functioned perfectly. All in-room furniture and appurtenances were in good repair and met my expectations without dings, scratches or damage. Room was spacious. TV was easy to use, large and good quality image. Room was quiet and air conditioning was powerful and adjustable in 42 celcius / 107.6 degree heat wave. Room was pre-cooled - a sign of a professionally run hotel. Overall I felt the hotel was a good value. Paid about $100 CAD per night.

Hallways could use a refresh. No toothpaste provided (it's for sale though). Some of the bedding was not as white as some of the other bedding however everything smelled very clean and was without damage. Bed as mentioned in other reviews feels a bit springy and on the soft side of medium firmness but was acceptable. An upgrade on the mattresses would have really taken the experience into excellent territory. The onsite restaurant was hit or miss but reasonably priced. My rating for the hotel - Very Good. The restaurant (which is a leased space and not managed by Wyndham Ramada) - Fair.

Location, size of room, staff

Bathroom plumbing didn’t function properly. Bath plug didn’t seal (removed and used my own rubber plug), diverting tap (shower or bath) was stuck but staff loosen it next day, hot and cold taps didn’t completely shut off so dripped continually.

it’s a motel so v functional.large room with two double beds. microwave was v useful. 1km from subway so it’s a walk if you are ok with that. nearest shops about the same distance but the ride into town is interesting and and the savings on the cheaper out of town location went on meals.

no lift. but only two floors.

AC worked well which was for me the most important thing during my stay. The staff seems very friendly. Parking is right at the window of the room I had .

it is a older place and could use some more attention. I did find a few hairs but maybe I am too picky since I did run a accommodation myself and like to have it perfect. Overall a good stay.

I liked the coffee complimentary coffee machine in the lobby and the Keirig coffee maker in the room. The hotel was super quiet and there was a lot of parking.

I wasn’t impressed with the temperature of the hot tub, it was more like a luke warm bath and lots of loud children in the pool because it is a family friendly location.

Location and cost

Not the cleanest facility. The floors had a lot of dust. The washroom fan was very loud and you can tell the hotel and building are very dated. AC wasn't very cold. Overall, it was decent and good for the cost. Location was great as it was close to a main highway.
