Other residents/backpackers were ALL very nice n respectful 😃 The location is brilliant!! The reception staff are exceptional 😊 And the rooms are all very nice and clean..the beds and linen were just soo relaxing and completely comfortable 🌟

Bathroom/toilet facilities not up to scratch..broken taps,with a few 'out of order' stalls..also the kitchen and dining areas weren't very clean..but it was mainly up to the residents to keep clean ~ There were signs everywhere to all residents explaining cleanliness through..so this is no fault of the staff of Brittania on William(whom are extremely exceptional).

Located right in the town centre. You can walk everywhere from there. Our room was a decent size and had a fan which helped cooling down the hot environment. Staff really cares about keeping the place clean and they give it a good clean every morning. Staff at the desk is kind and helpful. The garden is amazing and it’s the place where everyone gathers at night to have a chat. There is a lovely quiet area upstairs, a big tv room with comfy sofas and enough space in the kitchen for everyone.

Customers in the hostel can be very nasty and do not wash their plates etc…staff cleans and tries to keep the place clean but some customers are inconsiderate.

Staff very friendly and professional. Whenever I had a question they would help. Location (Northbridge) convenient. 5 mins from CBD. Single room (street-facing) was relatively quiet. I could not hear anyone in the rooms beside me. Bathrooms were empty most of the time I never had to wait my turn. The showers were separated for each person allowing for privacy. There was space to hang your clothes, towel and a shelf to put your toiletries. Bathrooms separated between men and woman. Plenty of social areas. However I noticed that many older people and workers are renting out rooms long term here so it is not really a party hostel but somewhere where people are actually living. Places to hang laundry Vending machines. Sim cards. Overall this is a decent hostel and I would definitely stay here again.

Bathrooms could have been cleaned more regularly. Wooden flooring very squeaky and loud. A carpet would deafen these noises. Although not the fault of the hostel, there are alot of homeless people and drug addicts right outside the hostel. A few have tried to enter the hostel which is a security concern. The rent has just increased quite considerably at the hostel. Single room was small for what I paid for. The laundry machine was deficient.

- First hostel I’ve ever stayed in where towels weren’t automatically included with a private room. - Similarly we had to take the bed sheets off when we checked out, which for a private room I find strange. - The communal kitchen area was huge but always full and always highly unclean.

I booked a private room and it was just what I wanted. I knew it was an old building and from the other photos and reviews I didn't expect much, but it was clean and warm. Location is excellent, right near a central station.

I arrived a bit late because of my flight (past midnight) and luckily someone saw me and let me in, but it was a bit unclear as to how I'd be able to check-in otherwise, even though I'd already informed when I'd be coming.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Especially Yumi who always smiles and delivered the best service. Great location right in CBD walking distance to many restaurants. Close to bus stop and train station. Very reasonable price too. Will stay again and highly recommend. Also quiet good to have an area near the reception where people could charge their phone or search where to visit or just rest.

Long term guests took lots spaces of the room. Even use another sheet cover their own bed. So whoever have to stay the bed on top of her can't access their own bed. But this is not the fault from hostel. Totally understood they need long term tenants.

Kitchen storage for food should be cubicles around the walls leaving the dining table free. Currently just dozens off shopping bags on the floor and on the table taking up space in the dining room. No cups to be found in the kitchen. Not enough spaces to lounge or hammocks outside for a hostel with 80 rooms. 3bd dorm room needs cubicles for storage instead of a clothes rack, 3 draw bedside and table which were useless and took up space needed for luggage. Floor boards squeak alot but that's the age of the building.

The facilities were great, the lift worked properly which is amazing since I've been in other hostels without a lift and we would carry our bags through stairs. The stafff is amazing, friendly, nice, always eager to help. The hostel was improving its facilities with more food racks and fridges.

Some of the guests did not follow cleanliness rules. Besides that, everything was good.

No problems at all in Room Nr4,very quiet roommates, surprisingly not sticky despite no window in winter.Strong Wifi most of time.No local homeless in this hostel,friendly and safe.

Just the normal expensive price level of Hostels in Australia,8 to 10 times more expensive than Malaysia
