brand new facilities, friendly staff. well managed so no real need to contact the staff. Only has a pool but restaurant is currently going in next door. handy to have food works, bottle shop and cafe right next door for any quick amenities or required items. not too far from docklands and $10 uber rides to cbd. Otheriwse roughly 25-35min walk. scooters more expensive than an Uber. handy to be able to use your own streaming services on the tv’s! wish more hotels would have this!

only issue we had was the shower flooded every time we used it. but I ended up unclogging the drain as it was severely blocked and didn’t seem like it had ever been unclogged/cleaned.

This place is definitely nice, easy to get to and the stuff was always very friendly. The size of my room was reasonably good, I was pleasantly surprised to have TVs with good resolution. Having laundry and kitchen was sensational.

The smell of humidity or cigarettes that the room had was something really unpleasant. The water comes out of the shower and gets a little inside the room if you are not careful. The height of the sinks is too low, certainly a mistake of whoever designed the project. The pillows were not really comfortable.

The hotel staff were fantastic, so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. I appreciated them so much. The room was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. I didn't need or want for anything. The location was great which means I was able to walk to most places and barely used my car. I would highly recommend the Melbourne City Apartment Hotel and will definitely be returning in the future.

The ONLY downside to their amenities is the showers which, due to a design floor, allows a fair amount of water to escape under the door. Luckily, I was provided with an extra bath mat and was able to place them both on the floor to soak up the water. When I was done, I allowed them to drip dry in the shower and made sure to leave them out when dry enough, so the cleaning staff could replace them. If you're unaware of the issue, I can see how this would upset some people but it's a small price to pay for such a wonderful stay.

I will definetely recommend Melbourne City Apartments to any colleagues going to Melbourne. It is in a quiet area, ten minute walk from Southern Cross Station, to CBD and to anything you can need. The hall is magnificent and with a very good smell, as well as corridors. My room (studio) was absolutely comfortable and furnished with contemporary pieces (including a large TV). I found extremly useful the fridge, the microwave, and the kettle. The bathroom was quite large, with a very spacious shower. Everything was perfectly cleaned and all the staff, including the receptionists, were agreeable and tremendously patient (I was experiencing some problems with the payment since one card was not working and the other...well... I had forgotten the PIN).

This wass actually a return visit and that, I think, can speak volumes in itself. Once again the staff were very friendly and helpful, checking in and out was a smooth and pleasant process. The room, although smaller than the one we had previously, was no less uncomfortable nor less clean and was serviced daily.

The only pitfall was some noisy neighbours or not so much them but the door to their apartment. The door was constantly slamming each and every time they entered or exited which was quite a bit. Perhaps a soft closing mechanism would be ideal or even a notice on the doors to remind people to gently close them and be mindful of neighbouring rooms.

The rooms are modern, spacious with comfortable bed and a great bathroom. The room had a coffee machine, microwave, toaster sink and plates etc, but no cooker (However who wants to cook while on holidays!). The pool area had a lap pool and two spas. The water temperature was just right.

It is near to everything, but close to nothing. This has many advantages; it is on a quiet street, parking is available (meter for longer than 2 hours). It is not far to the Docklands, Spencer Street Street and outlets, Flagstaff Gardens, trams and trains etc. But expect to walk at least 2 blocks.

The bed's comfy, though there was a little gap in the middle - could be because they pushed 2 singles together. Was able to crack the windows open for that crisp Spring air. Location's not bad too, if you don't mind a walk into the city center. Otherwise, you can do a short walk (about 7-10 mins) to the train station.

The Internet was down for a couple of days which ate into my very limited data. But the team worked to get it up as soon as possible. Other than that, the stay was pretty good

Quiet part of the CBD, next to hidden-gem cafes and foodtrucks and a good walk to Flagstaff Park & Queen Vic Market. The room was very spacious and clean! Some hotels have mouldy bathrooms but here it was spotless. Checked in a little before midnight and the staff came down within 5 mins to help us check-in after hours :) Room also came equipped with all the necessities, and stuff so you can warm up food and eat in the room if you buy stuff from outside.

Nothing really. It was a nice retreat from the busier parts of the city. Maybe include some dishwash & a sponge since you already provide plates and utensils!

Cosy bed and good facilities in the room, shower was amazing and overall a lovely stay

The power in the rooms works on a motion detector basis so if you’re not in the room the power shuts off so things don’t charge. I believe the air con also worked on this system as the room wouldn’t stay cold during the day when I was out and seemed to turn off in the night too. I only know this system from a previous issue in a hotel, it should be noted when checking in this is how the power works.

The location was ideal, we really enjoyed the rooftop pool and spa's, the room was well appointed and the airconditioning worked perfectly. I love the smell on the inside of the hotel, and we really enjoyed having the washing machine and dryer in our apartment.

I tried to have a bath in our room (201) and it just was not filling up. I got out of the bath, leaving the plug down and the water slowly drained - so there is a leak around that plug. We did not report the issue though, and it is quite a minor problem. One of the days our bed was made up but, when we got into it again, there were bits of dirt and hairs made up in the bed (the sheets and pillows were probably just not shaken out). This issue was also minor as it was our own mess, but we were a bit surprised.
