Location was excellent at the heart of downtown and 5 minutes from the railway station which was important to me as I came by rail and left by rail. All major attractions also within walking distance combined with the free tram travel area. The cost was also very good for a downtown location. The room was not huge but everything worked, shower, toilet ac, internet .etc. and no noise distubance from other rooms or outside,

The room decor is a bit dated and the heavy brown carpet and brown furniture gives a dark impression but it is entirely functional. The TV would have a treat for a techy with all sorts of ways of interacting with prime and netflixs , casting etc but I would have preferred a simpler option. But no big deal as I dont go on holiday to watch TV. I did see a couple of previous reviews mentioning loss of belongings , so I did take extra care with anything shiny or valuable which is a pain but had no problems.

Honestly, the pool and facilities are a highlight of the stay with my child. Booking.com offered a special deal because im a level 2 member , yet the quality of the room was older and in worse condition than my first stay here 2 years ago but worth the cheap price I needed for my visit this time. Cleaning staff lovely.

Level 5 tower seemed older, and had to go down to lobby and walk to next tower lift, to go down to the pool level, windows were dirty, i felt claustrophobic without cooler on because window didn't open.

The property is close to Southern Cross station. We came in on the SkyBus after 11 p.m. so a five minute walk was fine. The room was big with a sofa, desk and luggage area. Bathroom was a reasonable size. The bed was very comfortable, water was hot and it had tea and coffee facilities. Check in was easy which is what you want when you have just had a long flight. We didn’t have breakfast or use the parking but I did notice the parking was $25 per night. The WiFi, for me, just did not connect at all. Connected but no internet, however my partner was able to get on without a problem. This was annoying as I did have things to check but was too tired to bother about it. We actually slept in last check out and woke to reception ringing at 10.30 a.m. grateful to be given another half hour to get up and out. Check out easy too. Would recommend for overnight stay and probably a longer stay too.

It was a wonderful stay and I would do it again anytime I need to travel to Melbourne again. The elevator makes a weird noise but other than that the place is super quiet and clean. The hotel is close enough to a bunch of the attractions if you don't mind walking or taking the light rail which is free and very frequent.

Everything is clean but the showers could use some work. The drain backed up a little, the water pressure was on the low side, and the shower head had some buildup on it and didn't stay up really. I'm sure it is not like this in all the rooms and probably a frequent checking of these type of issues by the cleaning/maintenance staff should solve the issues. These are first world problems really so they should in no way affect people's decision to stay here. I'm certain if it had bothered me enough to complain to the front desk, they would have dealt with them right away since they were very nice folk.

The location is awesome. Best hotel to stay for the first time in Melbourne. Malls and multiple public transportations stations right beside the hotel. Go west's tour can also pick you up directly at hotel's front door. The heater was broken but the hotel did provide us with a little heater and offered us to change room if we want.

There were some stains on the sheet in the first night, but I understand sometimes the bleach can't get rid of everything. My stuff on the nightstand got dropped on the ground on the second day when they were doing the room service. It is a great hotel but I feel like they can still do better training.

I have stayed here my last few trips to Melbourne as the hotel is in a fantastic location with public transport within a 5 minute walk and this makes it very easy to get around. There is also a Coles Supermarket across the road as well as plenty of foods options all within a short walk.

There were 2 issues. 1. Having stayed here previously, I was used to there being a face cloth with the towels in the bathroom and there wasn't this time. When I asked at the front desk, the lovely young lady explained they didn't put them in the rooms any more as a laundry cost saving measure (or similar) but was happy to get me one. 2. Even though we hung all of our towels up each day (we were happy to keep using them), each day when we returned to our room, house keeping had replaced all the towels. They had obviously missed the memo about saving laundry costs. As a side note, if they were taking a face cloth, wouldn't it make sense to replace it? Obviously not to them and I had to ask at reception for new ones each day.

This hotel is located opposite the Southern Cross Station and shopping complex and very close to the tram and bus. The hotel's parking is 'cheap' compared to other hotels in the area. The rooms were plainly furnished but comfortable. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. There are views across west Melbourne. The rooms were quiet, and so were the lifts. Reception was friendly and efficient. This is a perfectly good place to stay for a few days in Melbourne.

The bathroom has no natural light and the old grouting in the shower shows signs of mould, despite being scrupulously clean. The bathrooms are very small, so suffer from layout problems. The toilet seats are old and not soft-close, so be warned you'll get a start if you don't gently lower them! This is a minor quibble in what was an otherwise perfectly adequate accommodation.

Location was great, on the cental and close to every thing which is really convenience

Staff's attitude could be better and more friendly in general. Should improve their customer service skill as we felt like we were not welcomed when checking in on the day or calling to ask for information.

I loved this place SO much and was sad to only be staying 2 days! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, which made a huge difference. Even the way staff spoke to each other was so joyful. On top of this, it was one of the only hotels in Melbourne that did not massively inflate their prices due to a big event being on, so I am very grateful for their generosity. This place was so easy to get to from the airport on the Skybus. Using Southern Cross Station as a base made travel very affordable- and the Spencer St shops across the road are fantastic too. Outstanding location.

The pool was a tad cold but so was the rest of Melbourne!

I love how central it is, close to the train station and buses, dfo, shops and food. Super easy to walk anywhere, close to docklands, close to the markets.

It wasn't that I didn't like anything, but I wish they had a laundry in the hotel. It just would have beeb handy for a family of 5, to dry bathers etc after swimming, i had bathers hanging up over doors and handles all through our rooms trying to dry them before I had to pack them. The only other thing was when looking under the bed for something of my daughters i seen crackers and chips under there which werent from us
