Mercure Port of Echuca

I booked this motel for my parents, and an auntie who were coming up for an event. They were very happy with the cleanliness and comfortable bedding. Easy to book and great communication with the staff when i called to request a ground floor due to my Mother using a walking frame

The one thing they mentioned which wasn’t a deal breaker bit a small inconvenience, was that they couldn’t park in front of the room that was allocated to them so they had to walk a little bit and my Mother uses a walking frame so that was the only downside that they mentioned.

The room size was great. The bed was quite comfortable. It's in a great part of town.

There's only 2 things that I can fault. One is the bathroom. We stayed on the ground floor, with the bathroom facing the reception. The window in the bathroom is not private. You can actually see in. I got my husband to stand outside while I put the light on, and he could see exactly what I was doing. They really need a blind or curtain or something for the guests privacy. The second thing is the TV. There's no Netflix or Stan or Foxtel. Hardly any of the channels worked at all. Apart from that, it was great.

Kate at reception was extremely helpful. All the reception staff were polite and friendly. The room on ground floor was a good size. This Mercure is very well located. Maccers literally next door so that was great to grab our coffees. Lots of cafes, restaurants and shops within walking distance. The microwave came in handy too. :) The room was very clean so thank you to the cleaning staff!

The hand held shower that I used had little pressure so that could be improved. I still managed to have a shower though so that's ok.

We were upgraded so the room was very spacious and comfortable. King bed and I finally had a comfy pillow. We could use the blanket instead of the doona. The bathroom was huge and well set out. We had a kitchenette which is always a big plus. Location was excellent, we could walk anywhere in town and the town itself is beautiful.

The room was upstairs which is getting more difficult for us. The cabinetry was aged and chipped, wouldn't cost much to update and then everything would look 100%. The kitchenette had mugs and plates but no bowls which made no sense. We stayed on Sunday and most eating places are closed Sun/Mon including the on site restaurant.

Fabulous location!! Didn’t need to drive the car , walking distance to all the shop’s & restaurants & Port of Echuca . Rooms was serviced & cleaned daily & staff were all professional & absolutely lovely. Thankyou Mercure for our wonderful stay making new memories. Will definitely be back..Highly recommended..🥰

Our king bed mattress was not very comfortable..should be replaced.

Great location. Everywhere was within easy walking distance. Room size was great. Staff really friendly and contacted me to let me know I'd left something in my room after we checked out.

We had a street facing room and was a little noisy when trucks used their air brakes. Could do with some sheers on the windows so you can open the blockouts and let some light in. Don't particularly want people seeing through the window while I'm getting changed.

Really clean rooms and beautiful bath I particularly like the larger milk than the individual small containers and also the multi use hygiene products in the bathroom Nice to have an actual king sized bed too!

Took me a bit to work out the card in the socket for the power to get the aircon going when we first come in - couldn’t added to the QR compendium

Perfect location, a short stroll to everything. Room was very large, clean and had everything you needed. The bed was comfortable. The only downside to the whole room was the shower, the bathroom was massive and clean, but the shower head was terrible. If it wasn't for this I would give it a 10 out of 10.

The shower head in room 49 was terrible, felt like it was just dripping on you.

Bathroom - elegant, sparkling clean and lovely toiletries. Comfy bed. Hotel in a great location, walking distance to Port, shops, restaurants.

A bit noisy which is practically unavoidable in Echuca, as most hotels are on the main road. I am nit-picking but I expected matching crockery at a Mercure.

Comfortable bed, very clean. Good location in Port Echuca, easy walking distance to cafes, restaurants, hotels and shops. Plenty of free parking.

Not the most accessible accommodation- Google maps apparently tries to send travellers around to the back gate, which according to staff is never open . Perhaps need to notify Google maps of this...very confusing and annoying. Not enough outlets for charging devices.
