Lovely modern and spacious apartment. The pool is spectacular and was the main focal point of our stay. We loved being able to literally step off our terrace and into the water.

Maybe it was due to school holidays but the price had gone up significantly from our previous visit last year. It's a lot of money to pay for just an apartment and pool a little way out of town with no other resort features such as an on-site restaurant, day spa, gym etc. Although we loved it and will hope to stay again, we will probably only do so if we can find a special deal.

A lovely 2 bedroom apartment that shared its pool with 3 other apartments. We pretty much had the whole pool to ourselves the whole holiday! Perfect for families with young kids - we wanted somewhere we could be at home in the evening, have our 5 year old son go to bed and not disturb each other. Kitchen facilities were great as we ate at home most of the time.

The apartment could have been a bit cleaner on arrival but it was resolved (without our prompting) a couple of days later. The bare earth canal on the golf course right next to the pool looks a bit like an active construction site but we appreciate this is out of the resort's control.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pool Resort Port Douglas, and I can’t recommend it enough! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the stunning location of the resort. Nestled in the heart of Port Douglas, it provided the perfect balance of tranquility and convenience. The resort is just a short distance from the town center, making it incredibly easy to explore the local shops, restaurants, and of course, the beautiful Four Mile Beach. We stayed in one of the self-catering apartments, which was absolutely fantastic. The apartment was spacious, modern, and impeccably clean, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped, allowing us to prepare our own meals, which was a great way to enjoy fresh local produce. The open-plan living area was perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the private balcony offered stunning views of the resort’s lush gardens and the pristine pool area. Speaking of the pool – it was nothing short of amazing! The large, lagoon-style pool was a highlight of our stay. It was the perfect place to unwind, with plenty of loungers and shaded areas to escape the sun when needed. The resort’s atmosphere was peaceful and laid-back, making it an ideal spot for a relaxing getaway. Overall, our stay at Pool Resort Port Douglas exceeded our expectations in every way. The combination of a beautifully maintained resort, the convenience of a self-catering apartment, and the prime location made it an unforgettable experience. We can’t wait to return!

Everything was great. A few suggestions would be - A hoover A tray for drying dishes so the worktop doesn’t get wet

The pool was fantastic. The room was clean, comfortable and very practical, with everything required to make your own meals. There was plenty of tea, coffee and sugar too, which was very much appreciated. The grounds are kept very clean and tidy and we found it pretty quiet for the size of the resort. The beds are soft but very comfortable and the pillows seemed pretty decent too - we had our own so didn't use them however.

It took about 3 mins of running the shower before you got any hot water in the shower and there was only moderately warm water available at the kitchen and bathroom sinks. We didn't report it as an issue because it didn't stop us from enjoying our stay.

No clothes dryer. Main bed very soft and uncomfortable

Not having ever been to Port Douglas, I had to rely on reviews vs location vs price for our stay. This exceeded all expectations and the photo's of the resort and the room were realistic. Our apartment was spotless, well stocked with the necessities for 4 nights and the beds were incredibly comfortable. I can't remember the name of the lovely lady that checked us in but it was obvious that she loved her work and could not have been more friendly. We stayed in a two bedroom swim out on the ground floor. We could occasionally hear our neighbours upstairs and next door but we were all on holiday so the 'noise' was people having fun in a beautiful location. It was a swim out so obviously other people were going to swim past our apartment and we swam past theirs! We were advised that there was no room service but if we needed anything all we had to do was contact reception, but the apartment was stocked well enough we didn't need anything. The grounds are meticulously maintained and it's just a beautiful place to stay. I can't understand the few negative reviews but I guess some people just can't be pleased. A credit to the staff and the owners. I would absolutely stay here again.

I have no complaints at all. I loved it. The bathroom has zero place to put makeup, towels and your personal items lol! But it was just built that way (1st world problems!). Take a chair in for extra shelf space :)

Lovely modern room. Tastefully decorated. enjoyed the pool outside our room.

Bit further from town centre but we had a car so no issues. There are scooters to hire too.

Absolutely wonderful stay with Pool Port Doulgas! My friend and I stayed in apartment 1, with the lap pool overlooking the mountains and golf course. Will definitely be staying here again. The location is gorgeous, if you don't have a car you can hire a Beem scooter to take you into Port Douglas town. The staff were lovely and had plenty of recommendations for things to do! It's an easy drive to many places such as Mossman Gorge, Cape Tribulation, and Cairns. There is an IGA close by, and we highly recommend visiting Breakfast with the Birds at the Wildlife Habitat.

One bedroom didn't have bedside lamps, but this was easily fixed by moving a lamp from the main bedroom into this room for the duration of our stay.

This rooms were very clean, neat and tidy. We had a cleaning/service done halfway through our stay and they made the place brand new again. The pool was always at such a good temperature and clean. Pool noodles and pool donuts were floating around available to be used when in the pool. The TV in the room had all the streaming services that made our movie nights even better. A good washing machine, detergent and drying rack were in the room which made washing and drying very easy (the weather was a natural dryer that dried clothes overnight). Secure undercover carpark available. Overall, very impressed and will definitely go back to stay there.

Nothing!

Beautiful apartment with almost everything you could need. Looked gorgeous but was also quite practical. It was super that we had a swim up pool and well worth the extra we paid. Pool and surrounds were clean and well maintained. It was great that bin sites were a short walk away but they were unobtrusive in shelters, so you didn’t know they were bin storage units unless you was looking for them. Reception was excellent with games, books and even buckets and spades for the children to borrow. It was good that they also sold icy poles and cold drinks especially as it was so hot while we were there. Staff were exceptionally helpful.

You needed transport to really get anywhere. You could walk to local playgrounds and beach but shopping needed transport. Small thing, but a water jug would be beneficial for the apartment.
