Waters Edge Apartment Cairns

Loved everything about this apartment, very spacious and comfortable and everything we needed for a week's stay and self catering. View amazing. Pool lovely. Very secure and in a great location. Being able to access on arrival with the key box was great and instructions easy to follow.

Had a bit of furniture noise from the apartment above us, but nothing too bad. There was no-one in Reception on the first 4 occasions I tried to check in, which was quite annoying as we were on holiday and doing lots of activities and trying to enjoy our time. I was worried they thought I was avoiding paying. Finally they phoned the apartment so I was able to arrange a time with them to go down.

Excellent location - close to top restaurants. Recommended; Yaya's Hellenic Kitchen & Splash Seafood Restaurant (top service & food), Goong Korean & Japanese Restaurant (Spicy squid - wow, sashimi boat - a bargain), Piato (went there for lunch and dinner (the lunch special is a bargain) and for breakfast/brunch go to Jamdrop Cafe - a block away on Lake Street. The staff at Water Edge Apartment are very friendly and helpful service. The apartments are very well appointed and very clean. I will return.

Our apartment was slightly worn around the edges. The microwave oven appeared to have replaced by the original one. Unfortunately, its installation in the wall cavity was poor. Sticky tape to hold the old frame was very daggy. Sitting the microwave on a pile of wood sheets to bring it up to the level of the frame was so poor. Come on, get a real trades person to tidy it up! Noticed that the corner of the spa bath was damaged and poorly/not repaired. Yes, I'm picky, but I paid top dollar. Accommodation that claims to be 5 star needs to immaculate.

Location - sea views, muddy's play area for kids, step out and you are on the fabulous kilometres long promenade with the main square a 5 minute walk. Apartment - Spotless, clean, white, well equipped functional 3 bed Pool - 2 of them. There's even a Spa in the complex. Food & entertainment - lots of options, compact town, everything within a 10 minute walking distance.

The living room and one bedroom have an interconnected large balcony with sea views. The other two bedrooms didn't:)

Well equipped, spacious, modern poolside apartment. Easy walking distance to lots of Cairns attractions, eateries, great coffee, markets, shopping, day spas etc.

Not at all a reflection on the property but it was noisy, early, mostly street noise, garbage trucks for the cafe over the road every second day at 5.30am, planes from 6am. Family were on a higher level (5), we were poolside, family didn’t notice the noise from up higher. Their bedrooms were also set back, ours was poolside/esplanade side. Kids slept fine in the other bedrooms. We would forfeit the poolside apartment next time for the sleepin.

Location was perfect! Apartment was huge and very well equipped. We had a swim out apartment and I 100% recommend it - as a family it was perfect just being able to jump in and out of the pool at our leisure!! Perfect location, muddys playground and cafe across the road were perfect, and it was just a short walk down the Esplanade to get to all the fun! Staff were so friendly and nothing was a trouble, the cleaners were always absolutely lovely. We loved our stay and will definitely stay again, we highly recommend! Thanks so much for having us - we loved it!!

Couldn't fault it - no complaints!!

The location was excellent. A very short maybe 5-minute walk to the town center. Directly across from the hotel there's a small restaurant call Muddy's cafe. The food there is really great but bonus that they also have water play area and playgrounds right nearby. The pool was really good too. Not too hot, not too cold. I wouldn't recommend getting to pay the extra for a "private balcony though as it's not very private and other kids can easily utiilise it. Very clean and spacious 3 bedroom room we got. Highly recommend for large families.

If there was a restaurant at this hotel for dinner when you don't want to go walking.

We absolutely loved our stay at waters edge - as a family, it was well set up with a great layout and plenty of appliances to equip our stay. The pool access was a massive hit, with plenty of shade options and entertainment areas to supervise. The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful, offering advice on where to go, and supporting us as we had early and late flights. We will definitely be staying again in the future.

Location is ideal, within walking distance to everything. View was fantastic (we had a ground floor apartment). Privacy screens (plants) between the apartments and the road were great - barely noticeable and aesthetically pleasing. The apartment is spacious and included a swim-out into the pool, which was a favourite for our family. Kitchen and living area overlooks the pool and view which was great. Rooms suited our needs and were also spacious. Underground parking is a bonus with safe and easy access within the apartment complex (nice to get into a cool car!). One of the pools was undergoing maintenance work and not usable, the workers were quiet and respectful to us holiday makers as we heard NO noise from any of them during our stay - well done! Once the work is completed, it will be fantastic for future users.

The apartment was a little dated but did not detract our holiday experience.

Fantastic location right on the Cairns waterfront with delicious breakfast from the Cafe over the road. Easy walking distance to many restaurants for dinner. Beautiful, spacious, well furnished apartments with locked garage parking for our hire car. Loved sitting on the balcony, cooling off in the pool and going for walks on the Esplanade.

Very small minor issue, one apartment did not have block out curtains in the master bedroom, I found it a bit difficult to sleep with street lights. Otherwise everything was fantastic.

Spacious & functional with fantastic views from 5th floor. Originally were told 2nd or 3rd floor but I requested higher. Anything less than 4th I don’t think would have had sea view, so VERY pleased staff met my request for a room with a de view. - visit the nearby aquarium for the Twilight 2-hour tour.

1. Apartment should include a coffee machine with pods. 2. Swimming pool time 07:00-22:00 should be 08:00-21:00 to avoid noise for other guests. But it was an issue only one night.
