Edward Lodge

Our stay at Edward Lodge was a very nice experience. The property is charming and has a lovely design. The garden is small, cute and cozy, and has a nice atmosphere. The other guests were considerate of noise levels, which contributed to a flawless experience for us. Our host was incredibly attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Upon requesting via email whether they could accommodate our dietary preferences for breakfast, they promptly called us before our check-in time to discuss the options available to us (which were plenty). The location is simply perfect. It's situated close to New Farm shops and cafes, while being far enough away to provide a tranquil setting. Thank you so much! We had a perfect anniversary celebration.

Very close to public transport or walking to entertainment, cafes, restaurants and shops etc. Easy parking on street. Comfortable beds and good kitchen setup. Apartment 9 was more spacious than we expected with main bed in nook off the lounge and full size kitchen. Modern bathroom. Private feel with lovely ambience.

Only a suggestion, not a criticism as the set up was completely usable, but we felt a coffee table would have been useful in living room. A table/desk attached to wall could be replaced by coffee table that could be moved between bed and lounge or a fold up table or nest of tables perhaps?

Lovely room, stylish unlike a hotel room, comfortable, clean and very quiet. Street parking. Close enough to walk to The Powerhouse. Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Breakfast was a delightful self serve in a lovely room with outdoor tables as well. Everything had been thought of.

Little bit worried about street parking but it was okay. Higher price than we can really afford but it was close to our venue and a special occasion

Cool clean relaxing environment, gorgeous heritage features of the property, attention to gardens , decor and cleanliness, comfort, high quality beds and linen, attention to detail, homely country Qld character, books available, extensive, fresh and high quality breakfast options , the staff and owner clearly care and love their business. Many guests seem to be regulars.

Id recommend vacuuming under beds! Everything else was perfect!

It's a great location, only a block from cafes and a park, 2 blocks from the river. The Continental breakfast had an extensive range, and it felt like I was visiting a well-organized friend's home. But the bed and pillows were the best. I had 2 great nights' sleep.

As per last visit it really is a beautiful building, so much care and attention to detail in each room and particularly the communal kitchen, dining garden courtyard. We just love it. The cleaner is fantastic and Jenny was so helpful when we couldn't get our code to work.

Seriously can't think of anything we didn't like. That's the honest truth.

It felt like an upmarket home. Our worries about mixing with guests at breakfast were unfounded as similar people to ourselves, not like a formal breakfast in a hotel. Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful building, lovely spot. Can’t fault it.

A lovely clean house with beautiful furnishings and very comfortable bed. The private courtyard leading off from the kitchen was filled with a beautiful garden and was a favourite place to hang out before heading out to dinner each evening and enjoy the complimentary breakfast.

Quite simply, exceptional accommodation (Bed and Breakfast type)! Everything is absolutely perfect. From the magnificent residence that welcomes you, the superb room, the perfect breakfast... We have been traveling and staying in Australia for two months and this is unquestionably number 1. Bravo!

Edward Lodge is well appointed and nicely furnished with lovely courtyard and dining area. A simple breakfast with variety and well presented. All the basic facilities you need when travelling were available and in good order.
