The Docks On Goodwin

The room was huge, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a 5 day stay. We had a great view of the city and the soundproofing was excellent so it was very quiet. The location is fabulous with an easy walk to the free Holman Street city ferry. Excellent safe on site parking, lift access from there to the room was very efficient. The staff were very helpful as we arrived a bit early. We loved having a balcony and the pool and tennis areas looked amazing although we did not use them. There was a lot to like about this property and it was excellent value for money, we would love to stay again.

The actual reception with drive up parking is on Rotherham Street rather than Goodwin Street. We did not find the information about using equipment in the room until we accidentally found it in a bottom kitchen drawer. The microwave was much too high and needed a clean.

We really liked the great location of our accommodation. Loved our time in this area. The staff really nice, responsive and helpful. Spacious apartment which felt pretty comfortable for three people. A lot of kitchen utensils available for us. In general the apartment was clean. Big TV with a lot of options to watch. I found the beds really comfortable. Overall a great place.

We asked for a top floor and at the last minute we were informed we were getting a ground floor. The teapot was dirty at our arrival, but other than that all looked clean. It will be great to get from the start some dishwasher tablets, rubbish bags and another tea towel (we did get some from reception but it will be great to have several).

The unit was clean & well equipped. The ladies at Reception were welcoming & helpful. During our stay, we utilised the frequent ferry service (City Hopper), which was a short walk away. We had dinner at the Story Bridge Hotel, which was just around the corner & there is a fantastic pastry shop nearby called Christian Jacques, which has a huge variety of delicious croissants. Howard Smith Wharf is one ferry stop across the river & we had dinner at one of the places there called Ciao Papi, an Italian restaurant. Their food was delicious & as its situated on the riverfront its very beautiful, taking in the city lights at night. There are a variety of walking paths to take along both sides of the river during the day.

Location is great, with dining options nearby and touristic attractions around. It is a great place to stay during NYE as with a short walk you get access to superb vantage points for the fireworks display. The facilities are good - very convenient parking, and some entertaining options such as pool, sauna and gym. The apartments are well appointed, with good space and a functional kitchen. Staff was great - although didn't have to interact with them very often, the times I did they were helpful and warm. In general was very happy with the stay and would recommend.

Only had one service during the stay (10 days) - number of services could be increased, maybe once every 2 or 3 days; TVs offer a great range of Foxtel channels, but the property could upgrade them to Smart TVs so people could stream Netflix or other streaming services;

really friendly staff, always very helpful and happy to help. good spacious room well equipped with plenty of plates, cutlery cooking utensils etc. lovely clean pool. didn’t use the sauna or the gym but they also looked in good condition. nice location, close enough to the CBD but far enough you feel out of the way. close to some nice restaurants and cafes. the grounds around the apartment where very well kept.

the only minor issue was the shower was a bit on the small side and the bathroom a little outdated but this didn’t make any difference to our stay.

Spacious studio with balcony in a great location on Kangaroo Point. Perfect location with plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars nearby and a 5-minute walk to the wharf for the free Cityhopper ferry or a 30-40 minute walk into the city. Bonus having a 25m lap pool, gym, tennis court and undercover secure allocated parking. If you're staying for more than a couple of days the washer and dryer would have been handy as well.

The only thing that could have been better was a more comfortable bed and lounge. The bed wasn't bad, just not great, but the lounge (a sofa bed) was a killer.

Great views of the bridge, wonderful pastry shop nearby. Large room and friendly reception. Staff were helpful and parking is allocated to each room. Easy access to walking trails along the water. The in-room laundry facilities is a perfect asset.

Bed and pillows smelled of body odour. Can be noisy with neighbours, pumping music. TV didn't work very well. The bathroom could be renovated, cracked bench and shower unkept. Traffic off the bridge can be slow at times.

Loved the hotel - great location, amazing staff, great room with a nice comfy bed and everything we could possibly need for a nice home from home - from a parking spot to a water jug in the fridge! The restaurants nearby were great for breakfast and dinner and there were beautiful parks and places all within easy walking distance. Loved it!

1 ply toilet paper and disposable dish washing liquid sachets! But everything else was super great and we loved our stay. Definitely a 10/10 experience.

Location, Pool, Gym, Apartment design, fans in all main rooms, Designated parling bay with bays for guests. Staff were very professional and quick to respond to concerns

Small cleaning issues that which were quickly addressed by staff. Bathroom also incorporated the laundry which took some valuable space away from the bathroom. Guests also had to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. There was also no fan in the bathroom./

having to pay for toilet paper whilst only being provided with one roll to last the entire duration for two people. The shower screens were dirty and an odour was coming up from the drain. Having to pay extra to hire tennis rackets to use the courts. The provision of dish washing liquid, coffee pods, and essential bathroom products was less than satisfactory for the price paid per day. There wasn’t even a box of tissues! For example; one small sample size dish washing liquid sachet, 2 coffee pods for 2 people staying for 4 days. It wasn’t cheap accomodation where you’d expect that.
