Gold Coast Phu Quoc Beach Resort

Big room, 10 steps to the sand of a private beach. Free kayak, snorkelling, pool and bicycles. Good restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will come back.

The location is a bit far away from the residents, but you can use the bicycles of Gold Coast to go around and buy stuff. Thus only recommended for a relaxing trip at the beach, stay away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown Phu Quoc.

We had a beachfront room, which was quite spacious and was not steps to the beach, lounge chairs or hammocks. There was also pool. The location for us was great, but it was an 800 metre walk into town, which had an excellent fresh seafood restaurant right at the harbour. The hotel also provided meals which were also good. Staff were very helpful. This hotel is very quiet and relaxing.

The bungalow here was one of the best rooms we have stayed in, it was huge and extremely comfortable. The resort was well located and very beautiful, though a little rundown it was being worked on while we were there. The staff are all lovely.

At one stage on Sunday there was Karaoke on both sides of us and the resort restaurant was playing music, not exactly restful. You go to an island for peace and quiet it would be nice if they kept the music at a lower volume or just off. They have one of the best fish markets I’ve ever seen about 800m away it would be great if they offered a next day fish service but no they only have one of those horrible tanks with knackered old fish in, a shame.

This was my second visit, so clearly I loved it the first time. I was given a wonderful welcome, greeted like a valued friend. When I booked the place was fairly booked out already, so I was told it would be a swimming pool villa, I almost didn't book, because the pool is where the screaming kids scream from morning to night; but when I got there they had found a way to put me in a villa closer to the beach and away from the pool This place is like a well-oiled machine. It is just like the photos. The villas are spacious and luxurious. The wifi connection is impressive (I am now currently just down the road at a more expensive resort and the wifi is abysmal). The buffet breakfast is delicious, the happy hour cocktails cheap and strong (sorry, but this counts a lot for me!), the menu is very affordable and very extensive. The beachfront location is epic, enough sun loungers to go around, huge beach towels provided, flip flops provided. I could wax lyrical forever, but I think people only take the time to read so much...!

Just like last time...the bed is huge and delicious, so much so that they can't seem to find sheets big enough, so you wake up and the top of the sheet has pulled all the way down and your head is on the mattress and mattress cover- sorry, I can't bear my head to touch things that might not be 100% clean, or have the grease of some stranger's head on it. Sorry, I am a bit OCD about that.

A beautiful resort situated in front of one of the most stunning beaches I’ve ever seen. This resort exceeded our expectations - for a 3 star resort, we were highly impressed with the facilities, service, location etc. The room we stayed in was beautiful, very spacious and comfortable beds. We got a room upgrade towards the end of our stay which we enjoyed very much. The service was exceptional - we had Son service us with all his heart from start to finish which we appreciated so much. We loved the idea of breakfast, you could order anything you wanted from their breakfast menu, which was delicious!! The restaurant also served lunch and dinner which was also very good. Location was perfect, few minute drive to Grand World and Vinwonders - must go to these places if you’re staying in Phu Quoc!! Private beach was definitely the highlight - beautiful golden beach. The resort also had two lovely and friendly dogs. Overall we were very pleased with our stay and we will definitely be coming back here soon, missing this resort already. Highly recommended!!

Restaurant in this place one of the best things about my whole stay! Breakfast was good, and variety of food which was available throughout the day is exactly what many of people need during their stay. Room is spacious and clean. At the front desk can choose different trips around the island or for snorkeling. Trip for snorkeling definitely worth it, guide will take you to nearby island where water is clean and variety of flora and fauna is much bigger, than in the sea near hotel. Bikes for rent was pretty convenient.

Sound isolation is far from adequate. The houses near the water pull are separated to 2 sections, in each section different guests can live, so if there a lot of people in the facility, it's high probability, that you're sharing house with someone under the same roof and sound isolation between two rooms was...like it was nothing.

we totally enjoyed the nights at the resort and loved every single dish at the Restaurant. (Definitely recommend trying the foods at the resort restaurant.) Nice and helpful host and staffs. swimming After dinner was also great

i felt the bathroom slippery, which could be dangerous to my kid. and far from the town ( it takes about 10 mins from the beachtown and takes 20 mins from grandworld ) but you don need to care about that if you just wanna relax as my family did :)

We spent six days at Gold Coast Resort and would definitely return here again. The beautifully appointed rooms were very large and comfortable and the bathroom was huge with massive shower. The pool was great with lots of loungers. The beachfront was lovely with many hammocks and loungers. The restaurant was excellent! No need to eat anywhere else. Breakfast was fantastic with many choices and everything we had from the cocktails to all different items on the menu were very good quality and very good value. We will miss the friendly hardworking staff and the lovely relaxing vibe of this place.

For the first couple of nights there was someone staying in the room next to ours (2 rooms to each villa) and we found that the sound travelled very easily and seemed to be coming through the ceiling attic? Maybe not all are like that? We were in room 129 pool view.

A scenic quiet spot away from the weirdness and overdevelopment of the rest of the island. Really nice clean beach and excellent swim spot. Close enough to the local town, 15 minute walk to the busy fish and vegetable market. Really superb, fresh tasty food. Excellent cocktails - one of the best Pina coladas we have had. Try the herring salad special of the island! Nice beachfront seating area for drinks/dinner, and covered restaurant for breakfast. Large clean bedrooms, comfy bed. Nice people. Very well done.

Location is great but if you want to see the whole island including the mad if beautiful cable car in the south and bonkers pastiche Italian town, and the nice Buddhist pagoda, then hire a car for 1-2 days. We did that and also had a scooter for 1 day. Perhaps it’s a tiny bit expensive compared to other comparable places.

Perfect hotel. Big spacious rooms with exquisite little details (iron, fine women's robe, four types of towels, large bathroom, lots of mirrors, comfortable lighting by the bed...etc. The beach is quiet and tidy. The territory, the pool, the beach are cleaned every day, besides, the territory is guarded, there is a great sense of security, no stranger appears here. I especially want to highlight the restaurant. It charmed us. Fine presentation. The food is very tasty, especially the fish dishes, the best during our Vietnam trip. We didn't even think of eating in the village! Prices match the quality, large portions. Breakfast is also served to each individual according to their choice (perhaps we were lucky, because the hotel was not very full, at times it seemed that we were the only ones here) To the village, not far, wheels for free, we rented a motorbike for 200k, (could be younger than that price) The pool is big and clean, open 24/7. The beach is not big, but private. Snorkeling, all equipment available for free. This place is for those who want to enjoy peace and quiet (although there is a disco bar in a separate room on the beach 😄)

We stayed here for so little time!
