Jomkitti Boutique Hotel

One of the highlights of our trip. All of our rooms were incredibly clean, as well as the various facilities throughout the hotel. The location was excellent, and we were not disrupted by the school across the street. The building overall was incredibly quiet. Staff were lovely throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend!

Upon arrival, we were told we had to pay a refundable room deposit in cash. Not a huge deal, but it did make a difference for our trip in terms of budgeting. We were short about 2000 baht in cash upon our arrival, which was returned to us on the day we were leaving Thailand. Ideally, we would have liked to know this information in advance or be able to have the deposit returned on card.

The staff was incredible, everyone is super friendly and helpful.

-Walls are very thin, I could hear everything happening in my neighbour's room. Probably not a good choice for light sleepers. -Aircon was very loud and not very effective. I've set it to 16 degrees, but it was still warm.

Jomkitti Boutique Hotel is located very centrally in Chiang Mai old town. All famous sights and temples can easily be reached by walking. Lots of nice restaurants and cafés and the night market / in hall market are very close. My room was spacious and very well equipped. Highlight is the high-tech toilet (see picture), which I experienced only in Japan so far. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When I used the pool the lady from the reception came out to switch on the whirlpool for me to make my swim more comfortable. The breakfast buffet is not very big, but for me fully sufficient.

I was wondering that at checkin I had to pay a deposit for eventual damage in the room. Also in the room was a big list with fines for damage from a glass to the hairdryer. I never have seen this before, but probably Jomkitti made some bad experiences with guests.

The hotel has been furnished with great style and attention to detail. Makes it very pleasant place to stay and chill out. The pool is fantastic in the backyard. The staff is exceptional and forthcoming in any conceivable way.

The breakfast had a great egg cooking station. However, provided the fantastic options Thailand has in ingredients and cooking, the breakfast buffet was a very limited western stereotype, and we usually had it elsewhere in the close vicinity.

The staff at this hotel are excellent. They are so friendly and eager to help. This includes the front desk and the breakfast area. The bed was quite comfortable and the room was very clean. Overall a good value in the heart of Chiang Mai old town. We loved the Sunday walking market nearby and many restaurant choices.

We had some issues with the AC at first. For some strange reason it’s not possible to control the temperature from the room. We had to ask the front desk to adjust it from the office. I’m guessing it’s a way for them to save electricity but it’s super inconvenient for the guests. Also we had zero view from our window…. another building just a few feet away.

Excellent location. Lovely balcony with a view over Old Town and Doi Sutep mountain. There was a good selection of complimentary snacks and drinks in the room.

Pool area was not great - better in the pictures. Fitness equipment was substandard. Coffee options in the room could be better - only cappuccino pre-mix sachets provided

We loved this hotel. We stayed 5 nights in total, went on an overnight trip in the middle and the hotel kindly let us leave our bags there even though we weren’t technically guests anymore, on that the staff were all so friendly, every single one of them were exceptionally nice. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel to where the Saturday market is and about 3 minutes to the Sunday market so a very good location. The breakfast was also really good. I would really recommend the hotel.

The only downside was that it can be a little hectic outside at times due to a school being across the road and they do start very early so there’s a bit of noise but honestly it didn’t affect us that much we were up early most days anyway and also it wasn’t loud enough to wake you

Staff are great here, super friendly and helpful. Rooms are very clean and spacious with a nice big comfy bed. Breakfast is limited but close to some good restaurants. We extended our stay here a few times as we had a lot of time and didn't want to leave chiang mai.

The school! Oh the school! The boutique is located bang opposite a large primary school. Which likes to blare horrible music of children singing. On repeat from about 7am to 9am!! Absolutely outrageous! Although not the hotels fault but dont expect to sleep in as it is so loud. Once you think the singing is stopped, then 30 seconds later, it starts again. Yeah the school annoyed me, i like my sleep. But the apart from that, the hotel is Fantastic.

Loved the location of this Hotel, within the city walls and close to cafes, restaurants and a 7/11 only 5 minutes walk. We were given such an amazing welcome on our arrival, and were fully encouraged to be involved in the New Year celebrations. All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The swimming pool area, although only small, worked really well and was never busy. We liked the pool access via steps rather than ladder. The pool is a consistent depth throughout. Our room was excellent, modern but with traditional touches and loved the elephant-folded towels on arrival. The breakfast was also excellent with plenty of choice with both hot and cold dishes.
